Located next next to the Shell gas station, specializing in the decadent comfort food, the grill cheese sandwich. Though these are no ordinary grill cheese sandwiches. These are the mother of all grill cheese sandwiches. Im a particular fan of the Frenchy. Multiple cheeses melted on sourdough bread with streak fries sandwiched in. Side it with some crispy sweet potato fries or tater tots and a tap it bottled beer. Mouth watering deliciousness. The getting there can be a challenge as you can only enter northbound..and have to make a u-turn on the break in the median a 1/2 mile down the road...or at the southern intersection at Sternsschool Rd. but well worth the effort. Not for the calorie counter... But you wont need to eat for some time.

Excellent grilled cheese sandwiches. The staff is awesome and made us feel like we were "old friends". Spent two hours in this restaurant enjoying the food and talking with Dequalla (cashier/customer service) and Shammah (owner). The restaurant is a hidden gem in the Gurnee Truck Stop. Nothing fancy, just great food and excellent customer service. Make sure you stop at Cheesies when youre heading to Wisconsin on Route 41. If you hit Route 173, you missed it. Make a u-turn. You wont regret it. These five crazy women will go back for the food and fun!

If you like grilled cheese sandwiches, there is no way you are leaving here not happy. The choices are plentiful and the sandwich sizes are large. Parking is scarce and you can only leave going northbound on Route 41, but that doesnt take away from the restaurant itself. I had the Popper sandwich (and it was excellent) and we will be going back to try the others. Great start-up story as well. I hope the restaurant thrives.

Me and my friends showed up here literally twenty minutes after they closed and he opened up, turned on the grill and made us sandwiches. 5 star service. The manager Shama was awesome. Look forward to coming back! I almost didnt want to let him cause theyd clearly already cleaned up a bunch but he insisted, and to top it all off the sandwiches were great. I got the mac, it came with tomato soup to dip it in. Deliciousssss

Food is delicious, beer selection is satisfactory and Shama the bartender was hilariously entertaining! Pretty plain and to the point menu with average array of appetizers and different takes of grilled cheese as the main meal. ... But nevertheless quite delicious!!!

Very cool & friendly atmosphere, good grilled cheese sammy. Limited menu: about 8 variations of grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken nuggets & seasoned fries, so dont come here looking for anything healthy! LOL

Owner was awesome! We had a large group and he helped make sure our kids were feed first, changed the tv to cartoons, and let us try a sandwich they had made a mistake on. Everything was so delicious!!!
