The Uncommon Palate is just an amazing little treasure chest of goodis. . Of course I cannot deny that my mission most days is to seek out the coffee and a sweet treat. I always seem to stumble on something new that I have never seen before that I cannot live without. Lisa is a wealth of knowledge and works hard to stock her store with food items that rival anything I find in New York. Her trinkets, boutique items and gift baskets outstanding. Oh I forgot to mention fresh cooking oils that you pour and cap to go I was a cold brew sweet cream addict and have recently switched to hot brews. I love that I get to try so many new coffees but always need her rich sweet cream ohhhhh so delicious ! I was there last night well beyond closing time exploring the store while drinking my liquid energy (coffee)....

This is my favorite place to shop in the Dundee area. The Uncommon Palate has a great selection of unique food and beverage items. A few of my favorite items are the hot espresso (they make it from this crazy ornate espresso machine), the beer, and the cheese (sooo good)! The owner Lisa is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. My first visit she showed me a new snack, it was a soft brie cheese, jalapeno jam, and some thin wafer type crackers.. I am now hooked, its an amazing combination, really fun stuff over there, give them a try, you wont regret it!

A very quiet and quaint artisan food store filled with high-end olive oils, coffees, wine, local honey and baked goods as well. The quality of confectionery and culinary products they carry seems to be quite high, though its a bit expensive in my opinion. The store also feels like its overstuffed with goods and perhaps a little cramped. It might not be to my liking, but I encourage people to visit; they have a coffee bar, so you can grab a coffee and a cannoli just to check it out.

I purchased all of my parents Christmas gifts here, I cant wait for them to open them! Such a great shop for specialty food items and gifts. There are so many things to choose from its hard not to buy them all! There is a huge range of items including soup mixes, beer, wine, cheese, fresh dairy, sauces, spices, olive oil & soaps just to name a few. I cant wait to come back when I have more time to look around and have a coffee!

The owner is extremely knowledgeable about all of her food items and local, handmade gifts and always has a smile to share. Will be back again and again! If youre ever in East Dundee or the area, this is a MUST SEE!

Best treasure in East Dundee! From gourmet coffees to gourmet Olive Oils! Boutique Wines to specialty gifts. I love to visit the shop owner Lisa for a cup of coffee and chat. Nice place to shop. Great selection of all sorts of adult candy - i.e. Coffee drinks, excellent sweets, wine, craft beer, and cool gift items. Oh I cannot forget to mention the olive oil and balsamic vinegar selection that is very reasonable prices. Stopping in each time we are in Dundee area. Thanks again!!!

The store is so thoughtfully put together and organized. There is a wine section, tea/coffee section, cooking section etc. Very easy to navigate. It smells amazing and has such a great selection to build the perfect gift!
