If you are not Polish or do not speak Polish, the check women come across as very unfriendly. I dont if that they are shy or just do not care to interact with non-Polish customers. They speak perfect English but pretend that they dont. The deli people are great and the owners are great but as a neighbor to the bakery and visiting it almost daily for over three years, I have given up trying to be friendly and have taken my business up the street to a different Polish Deli on Laramie and Belmont and the staff are very welcoming and the prices substantially less for the same items I had been purchasing at Laramie Bakery.

I love this place! Their deli has so many different meats and prepared foods to try. I buy potato pancakes, apple pancakes, stuffed cabbage, pierogi and Hungarian bacon from them on a weekly basis. Their bakery is amazing as well. Its so good, Ive decided that Im just going to try a different pastry every time I go in. They bake fresh loaves of bread daily and I have yet to be disappointed with them!
