The pad se ew and sushi are good enough. I ordered my food and was asked to pay for it on the spot, so I obliged. Then I left to go get gas for my car while my order was being prepared. When I came in there was some blond male waiter loitering by the bar hovering over my order. I told him I had a to go order and he asked my name. I started to tell him but remembered that no one ever asked my name, so I told him what was in the order. He asked if I had already paid, I said yes. He handed me the order (failing to give me all of it, I had to come back for the rest which I was annoyed about) and within earshot of me goes to the hostess and says "She DID pay for it, right?" SO rude! That waiter is complete trash. I wanted to turn around and say something but I had somewhere to be, so I left. I checked the order and sure enough the sushi was missing and after hearing the waiter imply to the hostesses that I was stealing I just KNEW I was going to have to argue with this less than competent individual that, NO, I did take the sushi out of my to go bag and hide it in the glove box of my car just to get extra. But luckily the hostess came running out with the rest of my order. Im from out of town but safe to say if I was local I would not be back.

Food was just like other Thai or Chinese restaurant but they are REALLY RUDE. I went there with my friend. Cashew chicken was not that good. I think I can cook that at home. Pad Thai was okay, and fried rice was the same as other chinese restaurant. Yes, the food was okay, but I just hated the waiter and waitress treated us. The waiter collected the plates for the appetizer, and I thought he would put it away, but he did not and just put it on our table. He just put the chopsticks on the plates and did not distributed to us. When we were paying, we asked for a separate check, and the waitress didnt want to. She said we should pay total amount divided by each person. Well, if the way she talked was polite, I would not mind doing that, but she talked as if she is almost forcing us to do. My friend still insisted on getting separate check. Then, she gave us the check after taking so much time. We just hated there, so we barely gave the tip. When we came out, the waitress came out and said, "You didnt pay for us. We will not let you in when you come back next time." Well, I am pretty sure that I am not even going back there.

DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE! I had an awful experience tonight. I found a metal STAPLE inside my PAD KEE MAO. When I told the waiter about this he became very nervous and said "um what should I do? what can I do?". As a physician myself, I have seen esophageal partial tears secondary to swallowing such things. I had to tell him to take away my plate and he said they would make another one for carryout as my friend was almost done with her dish. THEN, the waitress comes to our table and charges me for a dish instead of apologizing and admitting a mistake had occurred. I told her I would NOT pay for this food and then she took away my carryout food without asking me. AWFUL restaurant because of its subpar food and awful customer service. Chicago is a great city so please save your money and go to one of the much better THAI places down the street. They do NOT know how to treat customers and will charge you for a dish rather than say sorry.

We really wanted to have something spicy and several other restaurants around our hotel had very long wait time. So we decided to try this one out. The staff looked stressed out when several guests asked for outdoor seating. But compared to other restaurants long lines, this should look like nothing. It took bit long to get food ordered and served. I ordered Beef Curry had a very tasty sauce made of peanuts, lemon grass, yellow curry. But the beef was so chewy as if its like rubber and made days ago, making it lose all the tenderness. My partner ordered a Steamed Curry Catfish. He could barely finished it as it was so fishy. The catfish should not taste fishy at all if prepared properly. The worst thing was that he went to bathroom couple of times that night. He was very sure it was because of the fish dish. We were very disappointed about this restaurant.

I like Thai food, and this one is definitely not the one I like. It is easy to evaluate the quality of Thai food: just order one papaya salad and one Pad Thai; if they can cook both in a decent way, yes, this is a decent place. Otherwise, just say a goodbye. The best Thai food I have ever had is in NYC. The flavor of pad Thai here is a little bit creepy: the noodle is too wide, too many basils in it and so many green peppers in it. There is no dried shrimp in the papaya salad. My girlfriend ordered a Singapore noodle with curry. Well I have to say the noodle is over-boiled and it looked like a plate of flour soup... If you would like to try Thai food for fun, ok this place is decent. But I strongly recommend you to go somewhere else for Thai food.

We eat here often over the last couple of years when in the neighborhood because it is so convenient. like the rest of the reviews, we are always confused by the variations in service/food quality. but when it is good, it is very very good. the fresh cilantro chicken and bean sprout salad was great last week, and the sauteed green beans were the perfect spicy/crunchy; chicken dumplings to die for, etc. other times, weve had soggy green beans, and less attentive service. right now, them seem on a roll. whoever is in the kitchen, keep up the good work! and thanks for wonderful, restorative lunch last week for me and my daughter.

The waitress had a real tough time understanding us and we her. Please try to learn basic English. We were then served a cold eggplant dish which really tasted awful. We requested a change to Pad thai and they just sent back the same egg plant reheated ! We sent it back again and then we were kept waiting for half an hour for our replacement. Eventually we walked out empty stomach and annoyed. Seating is unconventional, you have to hop into a bucket like structure. Lighting is a bit odd, right above your head in some seats, so when you look over your dish it is completely covered in your own shadow.

The waitress took our order, then did not serve us, in order to serve her other tables. The busboy served as our waiter. To my disbelief. I was charged an 18% tip, which was included in my bill. (for a table of 5#one was a 2 year old) I asked for a copy of the ticket. While I waited for the copy. I noticed, other patrons tickets, didnt have mandatory tips... what bs! I would have tipped him 20% on my own free will. Ill be notifying my bank about this unfair treatment, to have the tip charge credited back to me.
