This to me is one of the most outstanding Chinese take out restaurants that I have revwed in the past many years. Although, I have not visited the restaurant personally, I have had contact with Maggie (the owner) by phone. I had asked her about a common Chinese dish called "Hun Sue Gai", she knew what I was talking about while other others in the same market place had no idea what I was talking about. Anyways, the dish was delivered as promised. Since then I have ordered at least six times to make sure that my review is correct. Here are my results: Taste: Soups (wonton soup, egg drop soup) well balanced with salt, other visited places over salted this place was really done well. The sauce on Hun Sue Gai was excellent, good brown sauce not over flavored, consistent with Chinese vegetables that appeared to be fresh and not over overcooked in the stir fry process. The pork fried rice had fluff and texture but lacking some peas that is often found in some Chinese restaurants. The appetizers were dumplings were ordered both fried and steamed, appeared hand made, but ,not sure, either way they were excellent. This is a restaurant I would recommend highly. After many reviews and many states, this is your top one in Clarksville TN. Thanks

Im from Honolulu, Hi... Born and raised in Hawaii Kai. Everybody that is a native to Hawaii knows that Chinatown boasts the best Chinese food and if not there than Liliha Square up the street has the best Chinese food...coming from a place where there are an absurd amount of great restaurants to Clarksville where there are few and scarce great restaurants. I have to say that Redwood is close to it. The lemon chicken back home is cooked with cornstarch giving it a crispier texture...like crispy duck...here its coated with flour and fried.. But I get the sweet and sour chicken... The sauce is always thick and steaming hot..which I appreciate...I like shrimp egg Fu young and Im picky about it, but Redwood gets it right. 4 deployments, a career that keeps me at 50 hours a week, while attending school full-time to further my education, has our family eating out a lot. Im thankful that Redwood lets me get some island flavor all the way out here in Clarksville, Tn...even if just went home for Christmas...so Mahalo Nui Loa Redwood! And... The pork fried rice here is also fresh and hot whenever I order it!

THINK REALLY HARD WHEN ORDERING DELIVERY. WE GOT OUR ORDER IN A CUT OUT CANADIAN MIST BEER WHISKY BEER BOX. DEAD SERIOUS. I received this delivery a hour and we live 4 minutes away. You would think it would get here pretty quickly. Ive had farther restaurants that serve faster and BETTER food. The crab rangoons were the WORST I tasted. EVER. Barely any cheese crab in it and I know it may sound weird but it is folded wrong. The way it was folded you couldnt eat the whole thing without taking some of it apart. Same for the egg rolls. My roommate took one bite out of it and spite it out. Refused on eating it. Dark meat compacted and deeply fried. No flavor. Thats how bad it is. No utensils AND they forgot the soups that came with the lunch specials. The only thing that we enjoyed out of our 40 dollar meal was the 5 dollar General Tso chicken lunch special. Thats pathetic. King Mao 1630 Fort Campbell Blvd, Clarksville, TN 37042 A way better restaurant for service and food. Dont waste your money and time at this place when it comes to delivery. Save your money and taste buds. .

In a town of Army wives who are as wide as their husbands are tall, its hard to find healthy alternatives. Since moving here from DC, Ive relied on reviews and I am glad I ordered from here. There was a $20 delivery minimum, which is pretty standard. I got 2 orders of steamed chicken and mixed veggies with garlic sauce and steamed rice since I am by myself and utilize my freezer. I also got an order of hot and sour soup that went directly into the freezer. It was delicious, and I loved how perfectly steamed my veggies were! Plus I could see that the chicken was chicken, not breaded "parts" and covered in MSG. When I called, I was advised that it would be about 45 minutes (I called at 6:15, during the height of rush hour/dinner) and there the young man was at 7:03. I will be using them for delivery when I am home after giving birth. As for ordering Chicken wings, spare ribs, etc. Id advise you look elsewhere as a standard practice. Chicken wings are from Buffalo NY, not China.

I went to Redwood during lunch to grab some food to go. I was NOT impressed and would not go here again. The positives: the staff was friendly, the food was freshly made and hot when I received it, and it was very affordable (around $6 for a lunch plate.) However, the food (which is the biggie here) just wasnt up to par. When it comes to Chinese food my palette tends to navigate towards the *sweeter* options such as sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken, etc. SO, I ordered sesame chicken to suffice my craving, and it wasnt as sweet as it should have been. The sauce was VERY dark, Ive never seen sesame chicken that color. Its usually a nice golden color...not the color of a dark brown gravy. It also had a bit of a salty flavor and aftertaste that just wasnt cutting it for me. The rice was just okay, and I wasnt totally impressed with the egg roll either. Not sure If I would waste my time trying out another dish.

This place was ridiculous we ordered and the food got here in 30 minutes which was nice im not complaining about that its that but when I got the food it was cold! and im not talking it was warm at one point and by the time it got here it was cold. Im talking it felt like I was eating yesterdays leftovers and pulled it right out of the fridge cold! My wife called up and told them and they offered us another order, we declined and my wife told them we wanted a refund and offered to box it up and they could have it back. THEY ACTUALLY CAME BACK AND GOT IT! that is just crazy they actually had my wife box up our food and give it to their delivery man. That is just poor customer service. granted we were going to throw it away anyway but seriously? just wow haha anyway I am never ordering from here again.

Ive been a regular costumer of Redwood but my last order from them was a terrible experienced. One of my order was house dumpling and when i opened the container me and my husband was very disappointed, they gave us 8pcs.of dumpling wrap(no meat or anything inside) JUST a WRAP! And the amount of food in the container is getting smaller and they just spread out the contents to make it look a lot. I didnt bother to call or complain about the dumpling...its not worth it! They used to be one of my best to go chinese restaurant but their food are becoming not so good and unsatisfactory for the price. From then on I go to Chopstick instead, the price is great, costumer service and the amount of food is a lot!!!

Not sure why there is so many bad ratings, but my experience was... FABLOUS. I dined in. It was during lunch hours and I got the basic generals taos chicken, which was $5.95 I believe. I wasnt expecting it to be great from the reviews on here. However, once I got the plate, which came with rice, egg roll and soup on the side, I was over the roof. The generals tao chicken was the BEST Ive had in a while. The fried rice was great mixed in with the sauce, wonton soup was good and the egg roll was cruchy and great with the duck sauce. Customer service was great too. The woman, who ran the place, was so nice and very funny! I highly recommend this place. Perfect for a quick bite. Not expensive at all!
