Ive lived in this area for 9+ years now and eat anywhere convenient. This place is fairly new and Ive walked past it a few times before i finally went in. Before i continue i already know they will scramble to delete this review before too many people catch wind of what really goes on behind somewhat o.k food. ( Ive had way better) The owner also runs a school for sanitation, roughly 3 blocks down, all family ran to keep the issues under wraps and away from Immigration, Labor laws and The Health department.(They have been notified). The employees make $6.00 an hour, except for Lias (owner) favorite. Which is the head cook. This isnt the only restaurant she had, which by the way the other burned down?? When the new manager was hired it looked as if things would improve. WRONG. He is Greek as well and does everything short of kissing her behind himself. The employees work there long enough to get papers needed to by some type of citizenship. Unfortunately, true citizens have no place there, and we wonder why there are no jobs?? Falling short of regulations there is a number of health issues, Owners eat before the customers, etc. I ventured into the bathroom one day with One owner present and she fell short of washing her hands and continued to serve people in line. Im sure there are some positives to this place but i dont see them. I will not be back.

When we stepped through the door we were greeted by a very friendly young lady at the front counter so we proceeded to order I got the gyros plate my mom and daughter got some really yummy looking burgers the food came and I was totally amazed with my meal so much food on the plate I spoke to the owner while we were ordering he was very nice and very handsome lol so we ate I couldnt believe I ate everything on my plate i really was hungry but all in all everything was delicious i asked the owner if they deliver he said yes but his comment was even better he said it would be nicer if I come back to the restaurant

I order from here pretty often since I work down the street. I would not say anything on the menu has ever been exceptional. Everything has been average. Honestly, the salads and burgers have been the most decent. But what really bothers me is that almost every time I order, the meal is very different from what the menu states. Grilled means flat top pan fried. Panini means regular white bread. Cheese sticks once came with no cheese and all breading. What I am getting at, is that they half-a** your order. My suggestion to the manager is just have your cooks follow the menu as described. Customers appreciate fast service, but most importantly, food as they ordered it. Overall, Ill still order here. Its convenient and not completely bad. Just beware. Your expectations AS THE MENU LISTS will not be met.

A quaint neighborhood establishment with reasonable pricing. The food is good and the staff is very courteous. Demetri, the owner, takes time to speak with his patrons to see which menu items they like and seeks feedback on menu additions (those he creates & the ones you ask for.) The newly added chicken tostada salad is my favorite dish. It is a salad served on a freshly fried homemade tortilla "bowl" The ingredients include fresh lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, black beans, and a generous amount of grilled chicken breast. A choice of salad dressing is available. The Chipotle is my recommendation.

I had my food delivered and it was a complete disaster. The guy showed up 15 minutes late. When he got there he handed me the bag and rushed out the door. I had paid online, but I still wanted to tip him. I then realized he forgot to give me my drink, so I had to run after him in the parking lot. I called to complain to the manager and he didnt even seem to care. He made up every excuse in the book. I will not be ordering from here again. Spare yourself the trouble, because the food was not even worth the hassle.

I order here for delivery because its close to my job. But 1 they do not care about any requests of extra ketchup salt packets etc. (I do these requests because my co workers and I order in a group) 2 they forgot my coke TWICE. then on top of them ignoring any convenience for the customer they have rude attitudes over the phone. I really want to like this place but the girls that work here have the WORST customer service at least answer the phone like im not bothering you and you want to have my service.

I have ordered from here on several occasions and the first few times the delivery was accurate. On another I didnt receive my drinks so I called and received a credit for the next order. I did end up getting them along with the good being cold. Tonight not only was there a drink missing but the food was cold and it was late. I had to call the restaurant looking for my food. Im going think again about ordering from here. Good food but service needs to be improved.

This has been my favorite spot to eat since it first opened up. Every time I go here the cashier working there always know what I want every time. They have their free refill drinks so I can never have to pay for more drinks. They are very good at placing the order and getting the food to you at a great speed. There food is to die for like their homemade fries, my god I feel like Im in heaven. If you have not been there I suggest that go there sometime.

I live at the Hotel Elinor on Belmont and Cicero. This place is a five minute walk from me. This place is very very good. Large portions, great prices, and great food. The best restaraunt by far in this area. My only complaint is that the food takes a long time to cook (I ate there last night and it took 30 minutes for my patty melt and fries to arrive). Aside from that, I highly recommend the Bread Basket. Even the music is awesome. :P

The fetuchine Alfredo (Not sure how thats spelled) is really good, got it on a daily special. My guest had the philly cheese-steak I tried it and that was great! It wasnt sloppy or greasy looking. Its not very meaty so if you are use to very meaty sandwiches you might care to ask for extra meat if they offer it although the portion serving is fair. The employee was very kind and attentive. Clean restaurant, chill cute atmosphere.

3 reasons not to go to Bread Basket 1 - The food is horrible and will make you sick. 2 - The employees are grossly under payed and management treats them like sub-humans. 3 - The company refuses to follow any state or federal guidelines in order to keep the business from collapsing. If your looking for a quick lunch there are plenty of places nearby without having to support dirty corporate practices.
