I go here about 2 times every week. Its probably the most decent Korean restaurants inside campus. What caused me to rate it 2 stars is because of todays occasion: its early Sunday, I order a dish that contains rice. Some of the rice is rock solid dry cleverly hidden at the bottom. Heres why. Arirang closes on Saturdays. That means they kept the leftover old rice they cooked but didnt sell on Friday night. I just paid $10+ for a dish that uses cooked rice that is 2 days old. Enough said.

Ive been going here for years, and it has yet to disappoint me. I heavily favor the bulgogi dishes (All of them are great), but everything else Ive had is also fantastic. They also offer little side dishes of kimchee veggies, and if you bring them the empty dish, they will refill it for free (I hear this is a sign of a traditional Korean mom-n-pop-type place). It is by far the best Korean food I have ever had, and the portions are pretty great for the price. Definitely worth trying.

I havent eaten at more than 3 or 4 Korean restaurants before, but this by far trumps all of them. I come here when Im willing to pay a little extra for a better meal. You get a healthy amount of food for the price as well.

Food is decent. Painfully slow service, well its self service but the time to get your food is really long. The prices are low but there amount of meat served in dishes is miniscule.

While Im not too familiar with the cuisine, this is the best Korean food Ive ever eaten. Its insanely good and I got a lot of food for the price. Eat this food. Eat it.

I really like the army base soup, otherwise not a big fan. I didnt think their jap chae was very good. They do have sweet hot tea which is nice.

I miss this restaurant more than any other restaurant from my time at UIUC. You have to try their spicy pork (bul go ki). THE BEST!
