Id be tempted to give Saigon a higher rating, just because the Pho tastes pretty good, however, after my experience today, 1 star is being generous. My coworkers and I visited for a shop lunch. We received our drinks and chatted. 45 minutes later, I was asked if I wanted a refill for my half full glass of water. My coworker, who had an empty glass of tea for probably 20 minutes was never asked if he wanted his glass refilled. I asked the server (who was not the one who took our order) where our food was. He checked and returned and said our order wasnt in the computer and that he didnt know where our food was. He also said "it happens" and told us we didnt have to pay for our drinks. And that was it. He wasnt sympathetic in the least and when our server came over while he was talking to us she said "Im sorry, its my fault". I wouldnt have waited to long to ask the status of our order, however, this place is notorious for having slow service no matter what. It normally takes close to 30 minutes to get a bowl of Pho. Whats sad is that places like this tend to get away with poor service because theyve been around for so long and there is no where else locally to get Pho. I believe Ill be crossing the river from now on to avoid their severely lacking customer service.

The wife and I decided to try Saigon since it was closer to where we live then the Vietnamese spots in STL and we were pleasantly surprised. We decided to keep it pretty basic for our first visit so we ordered the Goi Cuon, pho, and the special pho. Everything tasted great. Although I asked for more fish sauce for my pho, it wasnt necessary after I tasted it. We will definitely visit again, but well venture out to try some of the more traditional dishes. For now it get a nice thumbs up. Oh by the way Im half viet and would take my Vietnamese mother here try it to see what she thinks, but have the confidence to think shed think it was good.

The food is high quality, and delicious. Id love to give them 5 stars, but Ive had a few bad experiences with missing items in my carry-out orders, and their response is "come back and get it". Thats not always an option. To be fair theyve offered a credit upon my return to the restaurant, but I only go every few months. Last time they didnt remember me or the issue, and I have doubts they will in the future. Please go there and eat a great dine-in meal. But make sure to double check your carryout order before leaving the restaurant.

Saigon Restaurant Vietnamese & Chinese Cuisine is the best food I have ever ate. We ate at their Restaurant in Herrin, IL. which was outstanding, and found out they move to Belleville and added Vietnamese Cuisine. When we went there we were greeted before we opened the door. We were impressed with the food, service, and neatness. We have told all of our friends, and will be going back again!!!!!

Great pho noodle! They installed two TVs several months ago, which I absolutely hate. I always end up asking the waiter to reduce the volume. I just cant stand having a TV droning on in the background while Im trying to slurp my noodles and converse with my quiet-talking wife. I really wish theyd get rid of the TV. It offers nothing to the ambiance except annoyances.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! I was not seated for at least 15 minutes, and the place was not that busy I was also waiting 30 minutes for my lunch. When given the check it was wet dripping with water, and to top that off no refills during the time I was there. I asked for a go box and never got it. I had to go up to the counter and ask again.

Every time I go here I am pleased. The menu is unique. The prices are very reasonable and I never knew my favorite thing on the menu would have "tendon" listed as an ingredient. I cant get enough of this place. If you want a reasonable date night or just want something beyond the typical "Chinese food" give the place a try.

This restaurant is as Vietnamese as CHINA KING!!! If youre in the mood for generic oriental food(General Tso, etc.), Szechuan, Hunan or Thai then this is your place. 2 dishes that might be considered Vietnamese are your choices if youre fooled by the name. Look for their new restaurant, "Paris France" for great Italian!

They have fantastic food and VERY affordable prices. The only thing that prevents them from getting 5 stars is that they are sometimes under-staffed so the service takes a little longer than Id like. Their servers hustle though and the food is well worth a few extra minutes of waiting. Highly recommend the spring rolls.

A great place for pho, rice dishes, noodles and a great deal of other stuff. Basically everything is great! But stay away from the "flaming" dishes, theyre not spicy foods - theyre just on fire. And once the fire is put out all you smell is alcohol. Great vegetarian and vegan options.

The food was most definitely a 5 star, but we had a bit of a tough time getting attention from the server (at a pretty quiet time). All that being said, Ill most definitely be coming back here. We were craving a good pho, and the food is wonderfully flavorful and authentic.

This is Chinese restaurant, not Vietnamese restaurant at all. The way they cook is Chinese style, with soy sauce, not with fish sauce. I felt like being cheated when I visited a Vietnamese restaurant, ordered Vietnamese traditional foods, but they brought me Chinese foods.

Never tried Vietnamese food before, but they had good rwviews and we figured we would try it. We tried the Vietnamese egg rolls as an appetizer, and it was very good. We both ordered food off the Vietnamese menu, and they were fantastic. Definitely will be going back!

If you want pho in Belleville, its the only place you can get it. Its not pho-nomenal or anything but its better than driving to St. Louis when you dont feel up to it but need a pho kick in the gut.

My family and I love this place. You know youre getting dishes freshly prepared. The service may be slow accordingly, but its WELL worth the wait. Its my favorite restaurant around here period.

Friendly service. Clean restaurant. Lots to choose from on the menu. I usually get the sweet and sour chicken or shrimp, and it is always good, along with the meatball soup and egg roll.

Appalling service. Food not worth waiting one hour for - do yourself a favor and head to STL for real Vietnamese and attentive service. So many tables uncleared - it was a bit gross.

The best pho soup in metro east. Wouldnt waste my time driving to STL when you can get it locally! Love the crisps and salsa that they bring to the table. Everything tastes fresh.
