PLEASE dont waste your time or money!!!! HORRIBLE service. We typically order often and in great quantities, more than $40 each time. We get delivery and always ask for a red sauce and describe it as such. It comes in a cup. They always acknowledge this and seem to know what we are talking about. However, they habitually forget to include it in our order. Additionally for a family meal they forget or only include 1 or 2 fortune cookies. When we have called back we were "disconnected" twice in a row as soon as they figured out who we were and what we were calling for. Their solution was for us to come up and get the sauce despite having ordered it delivery, already having our food, & living 15 minutes away. They refused to credit our account anything more than a mere $.50. The overall kindness and customer service one would expect DID NOT EXIST AT ALL!!!! It may seem a trivial item, but to us it is important to our meal and the fact that it ALWAYS happens makes it worse. The terrible customer service has been the final breaking straw for us and we will no longer be spending our hard earned money with this place.

Horrible customer service!! One of the entrees ordered was "Crispy Chicken" sounded good on the menu but when served it had the appearance and taste of a pile of deep fried chicken skins. We told the server that it was unacceptable and asked that the 95% uneaten nasty item be removed from the bill - refused. The server and other lady that were working had limited English speaking skills and said they forgot to mention a no-return policy - ridiculous! Anyway, they were quite rude and were getting loud saying we had to pay. Not feeling like dealing with the drama we paid with credit, left and immediately called in for a chargeback. The whole bill was charged off not just the offending item which was all we requested. Stupid way to do business - shame on this place - well never go back.

I ordered a delivery and when I got the food and paid for it I discovered the whole order was wrong.. I called back to complain and the lady told me to just eat it. After I told her no and that I wanted my correct order she told me that she would write it in the book and the next time I placed an order I could get my correct order free of charge because their delivery person was out on another call. I Called back two weeks later talked to the same lady asked about it, my order, and she claimed this never happened. Horrible business. On top of the fact she told me I couldnt tell them what I didnt want..I had to just take what they gave me or give it back.

If you are looking for great Chinese food and also great value for your money, look no further. The Orient in Edwardsville has terrific food AND prices, especially their lunch specials. Some menu items I can recommend are the sesame chicken, orange chicken, hot braised chicken and garlic chicken, but I have never had anything there that I have not liked. I have been to lots of other places and The Orient is the BEST in this area!

AWFUL. STAY AWAY. I ordered teriyaki chicken and was expecting kabobs. I got a styrofoam container wrapped in a clear bag that was full of liquid. Super gross looking and it was rubbery chicken that tasted like nothing. The rangoons had no hint of crab. Both the pork and beef lo mein were super bad. The beef one was just bland, while the pork one had some nasty after taste. Will not ever order from again or recommend.

Literally the worst Chinese food Ive ever had. General tsos chicken has no flavor at all, and the fried rice is the worst rice I have ever eaten. Not only is there nothing but rice in it (no meat, no veggies, sprouts anything) it is the equivalent of chewing on cardboard. also overpriced for Chinese food

DO NOT EAT FROM HERE!! They have the worst service. It took 2 hours to receive my to go order. After telling them the problem, four different people answered the phone having to explain myself four different times with the last guy responding, "sorry bye" and hung up on me

Awful.. Whoever commented on how "great" the general tso was is dead wrong. i just came back with my order and there is absolutely no flavor. Its the equivalent of dropping a piece of breaded chicken into dirty soap water, picking it out, and then serving it.

Great lunch menu prices .The people there are very nice ,Food is delicious ,,and for everyone complaing about delivery... ride your hover rounds to your mini vans and take your asses to get your own food,or get your favorite, mcdonalds.its that simple. : )

I make it a habit to go here for the tremendous service I receive from a particular waiter here. Im not sure if hes the proprietor or not, but this guy is very personable, friendly, and sharp with the wit.

The crab Rangoon is delicious! Our favorites also include general tsos chicken, moo goo gai pan, and pot stickers. The egg rolls are always piping hot and crisp. Beef skewers have great flavor.

Best Crab Rangoon Ive had. I always get crab Rangoon when I eat Chinese but always say that the Orient in Edwardsville is hands down the best. I always get the sesame seed chicken

Top notch food and service. Everything is made fresh and hot. Dont eat that bland food at the other restaurants. This is the real deal . This is the Best Chinese for 20 miles!!!

Took 2 hours to get our delivery.The owner was less then helpful. She did not care. When the food came we had to reheat it and it was not as good. Very disappointed!

They have great food! Their Crab Rangoon is by far the best Ive ever had. Their Lo Mein was great as well. Great service and prices!
