We went here for our 19th anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed it, despite a few downsides. The decor is lovely and soothing with beautiful touches including a round bubble window looking into the kitchen and a really cool lighting fixture with giant chopsticks. Additional positive aspects: Pork and Shrimp Siu Mai: Excellent - even better when warmed up at home. Crispy Crab Claw: OMG - to die for - never had such an exquisite dim sum. My husband usually doesnt like crab and he loved this! Taro Veggie Roll: Incredibly crispy and tasty - without a doubt the best spring roll I have ever eaten. Fried Sesame Ball: Delicious, although a little too hot. The cold ones were even better as a dessert later at home. If you love sesame seeds, you have to try this divine delight! Mango Pudding: I thought I died and went to dessert heaven. Exquisite, subtle taste and perfect smooth texture. It reminded me of a childhood favorite custard dessert called Junket, but better. I could eat this divine dessert all day long. The roast duck was the most costly dim sum item we ordered and not worth the price. I would say more than 50% was inedible bone and fat and I have eaten far more tender duck. It was tough and a little too gamy for our tastes. The pan fried turnip cakes were not cooked enough and I didnt care for their jello-like texture. They were very tasty and much better after we re-fried the leftover pieces at home. Even with the Local Flavor voucher, this was a little overpriced. I dont think we would come here without a deal. For the most part, our waiter was inattentive and disinterested. I would also suggest not ordering dessert until later - they brought the mango pudding at the same time as the hot dishes. Overall a delightful and delicious experience!

The place is very nice and very romantic looking. I just dont like the owner/manager of this place. We were going to have a private party in this place and we were all set on the price and the food when the manager was asking us to pay extra on the service fees (to pay their waitress/waiter) plus tips (and they wanted to have a set amount of tips). Too bad for them we were gonna give them more tips than what they were asking for, I just didnt like the fact that they wanted us to pay extra for the waiter and the waitress thats gonna serve in the party (what kind of restaurant doesnt have a waiter / waitress on their payroll). We just didnt feel secure and they didnt seem to value the business we were gonna bring to their restaurant so we just brought our business somewhere else. In all honesty, the food wasnt that great anyways and its overpriced. They do have a lot of selections to pick from and the place is nice looking but other than that, theres nothing else special in this place. FYI, when we were gonna negotiating with them for my party. They were so proud that on weekends they have a lot of customers that comes so they wanted to meet their quota. But a friend of mine that lives near them checked on how crowded they were that day and they didnt even have a lot of tables occupied. They couldve had 70 people (thats also potential customers in the future for them) eating $2500 worth of food for only a couple of hours but they wanted more money. Hopefully they will change their ways and stop that service fee for future customers.

Five stars. Ive been here multiple times, both for dine-in and for carry-out, and its always exceeded my expectations. Relaxed dining atmosphere. Friendly service staff. Great sushi... Try the Mexican Roll! Lots of classic Chinese entrees on the menu, too... Hot Spicy Beef, sauteed with onions and a yummy Sichuan red chili sauce, is one of my favorites. Happy Hour is from 4 PM to 6 PM every day except Mondays (CLOSED), with nice discounts on a wide selection of food and beverages. This place has Dim Sum, too! Three thumbs up for the steamed shrimp dumplings. If youre craving Asian flavors, then come on in to this place and you wont be disappointed.

I havnt tried the service (I did carryout). But the food is great! And Im picky about potstickers. In my online order (you can order online) I asked to have a different type of noodle used, and I said I would pay the difference. They did what I requested and didnt charge me. Yay Carryout window, which I guess they use on warm busy nights. Guy I met was nice. The other staff sat around, but it was just a slow night. Parking will most likely require the parking garage, unless you live nearby. Inside seems to be a romantic set up (where Im from, chinease is great for dates).

We went because we had a $10 off coupon, which was a good thing because the place is way overpriced. Food quality was decent to good, but service was AWFUL. Our food took forever to arrive, and the waiter had to be reminded three times to bring my son a Coke. The waiter also forgot to turn one of our dim sum orders in to the cook, so we finally canceled it. Even with the $10 off coupon, the bill was still way too high for what we received. We will not return. (Were better off driving the hour each way to Chinatown and back, where the food is better and cheaper).

This place will put all other Chinese restaurants to Shame. The quality of protein is amazing. The shrimp, chicken and beef are very large and high quality in ask their meals. They do not chince on size for their portions either. You will have left overs when you are done eating your meal. They also have a restaurant off Biesterfield Rd & Meacham Rd, in Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. Online ordering is a bit tricky as it may send you to the other restaurant location, so double check your location is ordering online.

Came here for a Bridal Shower Luncheon, seated in a private room that could fit up to 20 people, located in Arlington Heights Downtown. The food here is flavorful. They have a wide range selection of Asian cuisines, including Sushi! This place is comparable to some of the restaurants in Chinatown. So if youre not keen on driving in to the city & road raging through the I-90 traffic, the variety of tasty dishes here will satisfy your Asian food cravings.

When you first enter Bistro Chen, youre struck by the attractive, modern decor. Luckily, the food is as rich as the decorations. The highlights include dim sum on weekdays, a sushi bar, and outdoor garden seating. We ordered two sushi rolls and the tofu on mixed vegetables entrée. The portions were generous and the flavors were full. Definitely give Bistro Chen a try.

Excellent selection of authentic Chinese dishes along with Dim Sum. Just wished this place had XLB (Soup Dumplings). Havent had a dish I did not like yet and I visit quite frequently. Definitely my go-to spot to cure my cravings for good Chinese food. They also have fresh Sushi and Japanese fare that I have not tried yet.

Great food. Never had to wait long for a table. Generous portions. And the take out is just as good as the dine in. Always good service. Been here multiple times including their all you can eat which is a great deal because it not only includes some of their sushi but also some apprtitzers entreees and dim sum.
