Hi, I dont normally do this because Im traditionally a laid-back person, but I had a less-than-stellar experience with a cashier at the 1151 location in Alton, IL. Nothing was particularly insulting except for the cashiers tone with me and the way she cut off my sentences in order to make the transaction go as fast as possible. I would understand if there was a lunch rush or if I had a particularly complicated order, but it was 2:50pm and all Id ordered was a bagel. I was miffed enough to dig my receipt out of the trash (I had tossed it while she toasted my bagel) to tell you that her name was Katherine. She changed her tone after the customer behind me casually called her out on her attitude, but I honestly dont believe it should have come to that in the first place. I understand that shes an older woman with children who is working a high-stress, low-pay job, but I dont think its right to "walk all over" your customers because your employer isnt giving you enough.

Love the food, but, today I went in for a bagel for breakfast. Simple order, asiago cheese bagel, sliced and toasted with chive and onion cream cheese. They sliced it, didnt toast it and gave me plain cream cheese. How hard is it to get a simple order correct? Do you need an advanced degree? Not happy this morning.

Overall a great place to catch a tasty quick bite, or maybe some coffee and a pastry. Usually quiet so you can read a paper or do homework The bagel Tuesday special is great, and the ricotta noodle broth bowl is fantastic. For dessert try the chocolate chip muffin top!

I LOVE THEIR BREAD BOWLS !!!!! MMMM-MMM-MMM! And they have such a great bakery--I find myself taking home some kind of bread for another meal almost every time I go in! The employees are so friendly--service cant be beat! :)

They had to confirm our order again once we got to the window and still left things out. When I went in to get it corrected, the manager got my missing item after informing me that the drive thru team claimed they sent it out.

I stop by here when Im in the area for business and personal things. A good chill place to kill a few minutes in the middle of the day. Its not crowded (except at lunch when it can be very crowded) most times.

Anyone notice that the portions of the sandwiches have become smaller? Bought a half - Steak and Cheddar cheese sandwich and the sandwich was only 4 inches long. Is this normal? Was very disappointed.

Bit expensive. Not impress with the food and baguette..is hard like a rock..dont even try to bite if you have a false teeth.. Definitely not our place to eat again.
