The food was below average. We went Sunday for dinner highly recommended by a friend. We got a taco salad and molcajete . The service was basic, we were seated, we got our drinks and our order taken. We were never asked how was our food or offered a refill on our drinks. The taco salad came with the wrong meat and was flavorless. We attempted to get the waitress attention however we were ignored. The molcajete was so salty it tasted as if they had poured a entire bottle of season all salt in it. The rice was extremely dry. However the chips were good. Tortillas tasted like preservatives. Our experience here was not good overall. In summary I paid over $13 for the molcajete I would have valued it at $9 not for quality for quantity even then it was unpleasant and I didnt finish my meal. Same could have been said about the taco Salad. Every time we would try to get service we were ignored. Hope this review helps future customers and we hope that the service and food gets better.

We have never had a problem here besides today. The owners wife(our waitress) was rude from the beginning. I ordered a Mexican pizza and they gave me a tostada thinking I didnt know what a Mexican pizza consist of. When she handed my husband his plate he told her its wasnt made to his usual order and she replied, "well this is how it was made today." And walked off.... She didnt check on us the entire time for refills or anything. We also heard her murmur racial slurs. Will not return and certainly wont recommend.

I dont feel the need to rate every decent restaurant five stars, but this one deserves it. Aside from crazy large gatherings, my food has always been on the table in a quick and efficient manner. Taste- TOP NOTCH. Authentic Mexican food is pretty hard to find outside of taco trucks, and well, Mexico. Price- depends on what you order, but most (extremely filling) meals are under $15- sometimes my wife and I will split a meal and we never leave hungry. Oh yeah, and the chips, beans, and salsa are to die for!

This is one of our go-to places for lunch on a work day. As long as you get your whole order in the first time the server comes to ask for your order, you stand a chance of getting back to work about 10-15 minutes late. Not a big deal. The lunch combos are a fair size, the prices are reasonable and they have a fairly large selection of food and drinks. The chips and salsa are also pretty tasty, and usually that is the barometer for the quality of the rest of the food.

OMG. Wonderful experience. The customer service was beyond excellent, the waiters were prompt, the food was brought out in a very timely fashion and the taste , oh my goodness , it was superb. We had the chimichangas which were delicious , the shrimp cocktails were delicious without adding any kind of spices or dressings to it. I definitely recommend this experience if you ever come to Nampa Idaho I give them a super 5 star.

My experience tonight and always here has been fabulous, They treat is like family and they call us by name. All the staff is so professional and sweet, I have witnessed people in the restaurant being rude to waitresses, and I am shocked there are people that rude. Who ever posts negative stuff about the Chapala on 12th, must really habe nothing else better to do. Kudos to Maria and her Staff! We love you☆☆☆☆☆

This is our family go-to restaurant. When we want good Mexican food, served by GREAT people, we go to Chapala. When we dont know where to go, or cant decide, we go to Chapala. Not only are the people friendly, but the service is so fast. One of the things I like the most: they know "the usual" for each of my parents. I know they value us as customers and friends.

Best Mexican food Ive ever had!! And thats coming from some one who grew up in Southern California. The service is always wonderful! Whenever my wife and I go in theres one server who always remembers what we order and we dont even have to ask when he takes our order. I cannot recommend this place high enough!!!

Fabulous food. We went there for a late lunch. First off, the chips are excellent...not greasy or stale. Ask for the spicy sauce...its the best. I ordered the pork/bell pepper/onion food. Yummmmy. Were heading back on Friday for more good food! Some beautiful paintings in the hallway leading to the bathrooms.

If I could gice it 6 stars I would. Maria is the nicest, sweetest waitress ever and the other staff went above and beyond as well.

Food was pretty good but our waitress was awful horrible service. She ignored us, when we asked for our check she took forever, when we tried talking to he she would continue talking to other waitresses...and she was just rude. No tip.

Great food and great prices. Workers were very nice and kept the table clear of dirty dishes and made sure your drink was never empty. We held all of our staff meetings here (every other month) and never had a problem.

Terrible Chile rellanos and the albondigas ( sp) soup tasted like Campbells soup. The basic Mexican foods like enchiladas are pretty good tho. Its hit and miss. I know what to order and what not to order here

We ate at chapala restaurant in Nampa ID. Waitress was extremely rude and very mouthy. She complained about the tip before we even had time to tip her. No tip!
