This is my first review on ANYTHING and decided to write it on this restaurant. For a chain and well-established restaurant, I would have never expected what he dealt with. First of all, I’m not a complainer and I’m a quiet type and just deal with it. However, I wanted to express what I had to deal with. Came in on Sunday 2/24/2013 – brunch special with buffet menu. We decided to order off the menu instead… We ordered pineapple juice and husband wanted water. Got the pineapple juice and lemonade. Told the waiter that’s not what we ordered – he wanted to take our order first before replacing the drink. That’s fine since we were starving. We ordered steak fajitas and torta (a sandwich type) with breaded chicken. He didn’t write down the order and asked me if I wanted breaded chicken or steak – I said “breaded chicken”. He left our table and forgot to grab the lemonade. Came back 5 mins later realizing this and grabbed the lemonade and returned with water. We received our food, my husband got his steak fajitas and I got a plate with breaded chicken, rice and beans and French fries – definitely not what I ordered. But being the way I am, I took the plate and decided to eat it because I was starving. The food was terrible and no flavor. My husband wanted a hotter salsa and lime – requested it from the server. He returned with salsa but no lime. He had to request it again – finally got the lime. Oh and then my husbands water was empty and they re-filled it with Sprite. Told them he had water – they replaced it. At this point, we were fed up. Our food sucked and we literally ate 2-3 bites of our plates. We asked for the check – and the server asked if we wanted a to go box and we declined. We even surprised another waiter passing us and he even asked if everything was ok and if we wanted a to-go box! That’s how much food was left. We told our waiter, when he returned to pick up my card, that we didn’t receive what we ordered and that we thought the food was terrible. He just said “oh ok. let me go grab your check; are you sure you don’t want a to go box?”… no apology.. nothing. Received the check, nothing adjusted off which I don’t care about but just saying… left no tip. I didn’t want to make a scene since it was pretty busy so I decided to just let it be and call to speak to a manager when I got home. Advised the manager and he wanted to comp our future meal – politely declined and advised that we are not returning. Trust me - $45 for a meal we didn’t even eat was not worth it.. never again.

I took my elderly parents to Michoacan Mexican Restaurant on 7870 W. Tropical Pkwy, Las Vegas for a Mothers Day Lunch. Instead it was a huge disappointment. After waiting 40 minutes for our food my Mother received the incorrect dish. We had to ask multiple times to have our waiter come back and he picked up the dish, no apologies for the error. About 25 minutes later after the rest of us had finished our food my Mother did finally receive the correct dish but was sloppily put together. We asked for the Manager several times, which we later found out was the owner, Mark Berry. FInally after a bit the Owner came over and asked what was wrong without introducing himself. My Father asked if he was the Manager and he arrogantly said, "I can be." We explained the situation and his response was, "What do you want me to do about it?" My Father told him to fix the problem and the Owners response was, "You were unhappy the minute you walked in." We were mortified by the arrogance and condescending attitude from Mark Berry the Owner! It ruined the lunch and we left. I went to Mark after my parents walked out and told him his behavior was unacceptable and he should not have spoken to my elderly parents that way especially on Mothers Day. Marks response, "Well I am only human, what do you want me to do?" Poor service, arrogant and unaccomodating Owner and marginal food. That is what you get at this restaurant. There are so many other wonderful Mexican restaurant choices in town that know how to treat a customer, avoid this place.

The food is scrumptious, the bar drinks are delicious and the service is great. Overall we give it 3 stars (customer service) only because we were misinformed about their menu and made reservations for mothers day based on that information, only to arrive to find out "she (girl on the phone) didnt know what she was talking about." Yes, thats what the gentlean who seated us told me. I waited on the line for over 5 minutes to make a reservation before hanging up and doing it online. I received an apology but it didnt feel sincere. Maybe I should have known better kind of attitude. The elote wasnt as good as expected. We ordered chorizo & eggs, tortas, and other items and were overall pleased with food & service. Plates are pricy $20+. Other food is $11+.

I would have rated zero if I could. First, we waited 20 minutes before the waiter ever acknowledge us, then we asked if someone would take our order, he never attempted to apologize, even the appetizer took forever. Once we had been seated for 45 maybe 55 min. We asked to talk to the manager, young guy that did not even know how to respond to our complaint, said he would check on the food and left. We ended up just taking a few bites and leaving because we were so upset as we were leaving the manager asked "how was everything? He had already forgotten that we were the upset customers. The food is good but I will never return as the customer service is the worst I had ever had. Not worth the trouble.

We are big fans of the various Michoacan restaurants in Vegas and regularly frequent various locations. This one use to be one of our favorites, but seems to have gone downhill since splitting from the restaurants owned by Javier. (Youll notice this one has dropped the Lindo from its name.) The food and service are generally good, but our last experience was poor enough to discourage us from coming back. The waiters were less than attentive and the food was not up to par, leading us to wrap up our dinner as quickly as possible rather than suffer through more. Maybe it was an off night, but for now, the next time we want Michoacan, well be driving to another location.

The atmosphere was amazing, and the food matched. There were hand carved wooden beams throughout the restaurant and there was an area where you could watch a woman making the fresh tortillas that were being made for your dish! The salsa was excellent, and they serve the chips and salsa with refried beans, which was a little different but still good. I got pork in a green chile sauce and it was very good. This restaurant doesnt have the "typical" American-Mexican food. This is 100% authentic and very different from what us Americans are used to. If you are willing to try new things I definitely recommend it!

First off, I would never recommed this so called Mexican restaurant to anyone, Id go to Taco Bell and it woukd be 100 times better. The food was horrible, no flavor what so ever. Our server was, lets just say not into doing his job. We barely ate any of our food.. the waiter asked if we wanted to go boxes, told him no thanks, my dog wouldnt eat it. Informed the manager and he was like oh, sorry. I wouldnt ever go back and waste my time or money at this place. Rebertos is so much better and at least the food is great for the price.
