It being a sit down Chinese Restaurant among a slew of fast food restaurants, I was hopeful the food would be good when I elected to eat at the China Doll. I ordered Bourbon Chicken and fried rice and was still hopeful when it came out. The presentation was very good and the waitress was extremely polite and attentive. The food; however, was awful. The chicken had no flavor at all, much less the expected bourbon flavor. It was tough as leather, an effect ive never run across with chicken. Steaks are often tough, but chicken? How do you toughen chicken? The rice was worse and had a chemical taste to it I didnt like at all. The nice waitress asked me if I wanted a "to-go" box and looked puzzled when I said no. The China Doll gets two stars for polite service, nice atmosphere and good presentation, but the other three stars, like the flavor and enjoyment of this meal, are gone from my rating. I cant recommend this place, sorry.

TERRIBLE! we ordered for our entire office and after delivery guy left I went to eat and there was no sauce on my chicken and broccoli. It smelled terrible too. I called and the lady was so rude, she said that they dont automatically put Brown sauce on their chicken & broccoli you have to ask for it. Nowhere on the menu does it say that. She said that is the healthy way that most people like so thats why. If I wanted to eat healthy I wouldnt have ordered Chinese food! I have never in my life had to ask for sauce to be put on my chic & brochure. She then told me to just put some soy sauce on it. Then told me she wouldnt give me a refund or send the driver back. She said I had to bring it to her. I asked if I would get a free meal and she no just 2 egg rolls. Screw that! I had to call my bank to not let them charge my card! Terrible customer service and they just lost alot of business!

Horrible experience with delivery! Ordered food at 6:00 PM on Tuesday evening. Food was delivered at 6:55 PM. After opening the bag, right after the delivery person left, I noticed the fried rice was missing from the General Tsos Combo meal. I immediately called them (7:00 PM EST) and they offered to send out the fried rice. At 7:50, I called again asking about the order. I was passed around to 3 different people, then was hung up on. I called back and asked if they could just take a few dollars off and not deliver. They said No and offered a can of Coke. Told them to go ahead and deliver the rice. Its now 8:20 PM and still nothing....and just received the order, 8:30 PM. 2.5 Hours for (1) combo meal.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE!!! ROACHES WAS IN MY FOOD!!! DISGUSTING. I CALLED THE RESTAURANT BACK TO DISCUSS MY ORDER AND THE LADY ON THE PHONE WAS VERY RUDE AND DENIED TO RESOLVE THE MATTER. NOT ONLY THAT BUT HUNG THE PHONE UP ON ME!!! I TRIED TO CALL BACK BUT NO-ONE WOULD ANSWER THE PHONE. BEWARE PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE VERY NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 THUMBS DOWN. We are new to the area and I was SO craving orange chicken. Every time I have ever ordered Orange Chicken it is a dish quite similar to General Tsao Chicken. They delivered friend chicken with sauteed vegetables and this really yucky sauce on the side. When I called them about it the girl on the phone proceeded to tell me that each restaurant cooks their orange chicken different and they have been there 27 years. What happened to the days when businesses tried to please the costumer?

Where to begin?.. Have been a customer of this restaurant for 20+ years and this is the final straw. Customer service is rude and subpar. If they get your order correct, and dont try to cut corners with the ingredients in their food, youll always have to wait an extra 45 minutes to an hour to actually get your food. Completely unacceptable. None of these issues would have been tolerated under previous ownership/managment. Never coming back. Save yourself the trip.

We ordered from this lady with a heavy accent, made her repeat the order 3 times and still got it wrong. We called while the driver was still here, and instead of the lady apologizing for the mistake, she got mad and started giving attitude due to her mistake. Even the driver who actually ended up bring the owner heard it and went off at her in Chinese so we couldnt understand. Food was mediocre, THERES MUCH BETTER RESTAURANTS AROUND THE AREA, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

The lady at the front entrance when u come in to place an order or pick up was EXTREMELY RUDE!!! She yelled at me when I was getting my money out to pay cause I was gonna use cash and I was trying to see if I had enough because they charge to use a debit or credit card (which is ridiculous to begin with) so when she yelled at me that place will never get any of my money or business and I will for sure not recommend them to anyone!!!

Twice I didnt get my delivery. So irritating. The first time the "internet was down." That would have been a good excuse 15 years ago. The second time the driver got stuck behind an accident for over an hour. Do you not have a cell phone with maps that show traffic and routes to avoid accidents???? Unbelievable. This guys have absolutely lost my business. And the food wasnt great. We just dont have many options in the area.

Ordered from them twice (via Grubhub) and was blown away by how awesome the food was. Some of the best and most flavorful food Ive ever had. Delivery was WAY fast (so fast the food arrived almost too hot to eat). I was quite literally dancing around while eating because it tasted that good. I only stopped because its difficult to dance and type. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!

This restaurant went through and ownership/management change a couple of years ago and it just hasnt been the same. The food is still OK but JUST OK. They also need to pay more attention to the front of the house. Several times Ive gone in to pick up an order and there was NOBODY from the staff to greet me and check on my order. Had to wait up to 10 minutes before anybody even showed.

Crazy slow and very average...after 1.5hrs I called to check and they paused then hung up. Called back and they said they were busy and I was a long way away.... 3.5mi. BTW. Finally food arrived 2hrs after the order and was almost 10pm at this point. I dont think they would have come unless I called.... really no reason to go here since there are plenty of other good options.

I frequent this restaurant when I am in town for business. This place has the best orange chicken ever! I have yet to find another chinese restaurant that serves it the way China Doll does. I always order this dish - my friends and colleagues order others - and never have complaint. Friendly, attentive service. Great value for the amount of food you get. Highly Recommend.
