Rarely do I find myself writing a letter to express my anger on how a restaurant decided to treat their patrons. I met a longtime friend that I hadnt seen in a long while along with two other adult women and four teenagers. We were seated in the very back room with no one else. As you can imagine we got to talking and laughing catching up sharing stories and just having a wonderful time. Not realizing that we were getting loud. But want to guess how your staff decided to let us know we were making too much noise. A staff member came though the back area, slamming shut the windows between us and the restaurant and without saying another word turned to our table shot us a nasty look and then slammed the door. You can imagine how shocked we were, within a couple of minutes another staff member came into the room rather hostel looking and demanded what did we need? Ok shocked again! We are older women with older teenage children (16-17) and I felt like we might have to defend ourselves in your restaurant with your staff members. I mean really we came to visit and have a good time, yes we were getting loud, but is this really how you handle customer service? I mean just someone could have came up and requested we quiet down. But what did we get, slammed windows, slammed doors, angry looks and clinched fist. I will never step foot in another Folks Restaurant again. I am also informing all friends and family not to visit FOLKs. In addition to the outlandish and rude behavior from your staff our waitress was clueless, our orders were wrong. Couldnt understand simple request like no ice cream on our dessert, waited for drink refills or never got them, appetizers came after dinner entree, our of ranch dressing, waited on our check for over twenty minutes. In fact got dessert to go and didnt finish our meals because we just wanted to get out of this restaurant> I think every staff member at your Lawrenceville Ga. location needs to go through customer service training again. There is a right way and a wrong way to treat a customer.

I have bought food from this Folks before but never checked their score. I ordered two full racks of ribs. As I was sitting and waiting for my order, at a distance I saw their score sheet and what looked like a 7. I went closer and saw that their score was a 72. I had already paid for the food. And she had just brought my food out. But I told her that I needed my money back as I had not seen their school before I ordered it would not have ordered had I seen cell. She promptly went and got her manager who quickly refunded my money. So the low score is just for their low score on their restaurant not their service. I will return if the score goes up to a 94 or higher. But I do not want to pay money for food that could possibly make me ill and then have to pay the doctor.

Food was very poor. Poor waiter Greg, was not very bright. We told him our order and he wrote something down and then read it to us completely wrong. Wasnt even close. Kept making some seagull joke, not sure why. Food was nothing like the other folks I have been too. Was very mediocre and not really hot when we got it. Needs a major updating in the dining room. Overall terrible experience, didnt leave a tip. Asked to speak to manager told there wasnt one on duty. Will never be back to this location. Please be warned!!!!!

Have been coming to this location for more than 10 years. I like their fried green tomatoes and always get the vegetable plate. The food has always been good and consistent. The service and atmosphere has not. Restaurant was half empty at noon and I waited 7 minutes before a server came to take my order. She did not remember how I ordered my tea. The place needs a face lift and if there is a manager, it is not apparent.

The food is always good but tonight I noticed the womens bathroom needed cleaning so I mentioned it to our waitress. She said, "I know". We asked to speak to the manager. 17 minutes later he had not come to our table. The waitress said he was busy so we just asked for our bill and left. There were only a few people eating there. So sad.

Ok we go to this location every so often we enjoy the food the inside needs some updating The service was good we had young server but she was good. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. The location can be seen from the street but you still can miss it because its back alittle from the street.

Our experience was great from the beginning to the end. Our waitress, Angel, made our dining experience extraordinary. We will definitely return to this location and we have already recommended this location to our family and friends. We also told everyone to request Angel as their waitress.

The service and food has really declined over the years. I used to visit this restaurant a lot when I worked in the area about three four years ago and loved it every time now when I go its rare because the food just isnt that good, the service is slow , and its just not worth the money

I love this place, been eating this brand for 25 years and this location for at least 10 if not more years. So much once I place the first part of the order they say hi donavan, regular. So if your a lazy southern guy like me or love that style food this is your place.

Got a veggie plate... Baked potato overdone, black eyed peas under done, green tomatoes ok, sauce gross, turnip greens yummy but bit into what I think was a small bone, biscuit was dried out. Took so long to get our food I took it in a to go box. Very disappointed.

Got there they were alittle busy we got seated ok but took awhile to put order in then by the time my meal came my drink was gone my glass was on the edge of the table they neverask or offer to goo it till I asked for my check very bad serve

I really want to like this place. Its close to home and sounds like a great option for home style meals. However, they messed up our order 3 times and the server put a roll back on my plate that she had dropped...

Took 30 minutes to get food, which was not complete, or exactly what we ordered. Taste was OK. Another couple came in after we sat down after we did, got their food, ate, and left before we were served.

Service was slower than molasses in winter, servers did not even acknowledge us. Food was beyond awful and dont go to bathrooms or you will have no appetite for the one good thing, hush puppies. Boo!

Meatloaf was watery and mushy my wifes fried chicken tasted gross(reheated) everything was pretty mediocre. More like buffet food. Not a good place to sit and eat. Im surprised this place has 3stars

Loved this since it was Po Folks. Love the Peach muffins, corn nuggets, turkey & dressing, many others to love. We dont get here often but nice when we do. Service is great as well
