I dislike Olive Garden more each time I go. I can actually make better Italian at home, without spending $100 on what to me amounts to non-food. The last time I was here, I ordered a dish containing shrimp. It arrived, I took a bite, and immediately had to get rid of it. The shrimp had obviously turned. The server was great, apologized profusely, and went to replace the entree with only chicken. The manager brought the new dish out, and proceeded to coach me on how shrimp tastes, saying it was "No problem to remake the item, the shrimp had just been delivered. Im not a fishy fish kind of man myself, and lots of people just dont realize that shrimp actually has a fishy taste." I wasnt about to have an entire conversation with this guy about how at 33 years old, this wasnt my first rodeo with shrimp, and it was bad shrimp. I just wanted him to leave so I could try to eat a few bites before my toddler, who had finished by now, wouldnt allow us to stay any longer. They at least comped the entree, and I always tip well, but this isnt the kind of experience you spend 3 figures for on a weekday.

Just wanted to thank Kayla the manager at this Olive Garden in Gainesville. I had called to see if there was any way we could avoid having my father wait for a table this year for Fathers Day. He is 86 years old and not in very good health and we knew he would not be able to wait very long for a table. I knew they did not take reservations but I asked Kayla were there anything we could do for him. She suggested if someone in our party of 9 could come and get on the list and she would let me know about 15 minutes prior to our party being seated. That way I could call my brother to tell him to bring Mom and Dad. With Kaylas help my parents were able to walk right in and be seated. We were seated in one of the alcoves by ourselves. We had two really sweet servers that took care of our every need. Kayla went above and beyond her duties as the manager to help us with our dad! We had a great time as a family and it was due to the great service of the staff! I can not thank them enough for giving us this special day with our dad!

I just had lunch and I must say I felt somewhat confused. First I was greeted in the oddest fashion. The hostess asked may I help you. I said, Id love me to have lunch. She just looked at me. She was very nice however. I am a big man. She sat me at a booth. It was very tight and uncomfortable. Izzy, my server was great, very polite and knowledgeable about the menu. She was attentive and suggestive. I ordered the soup, salad and bread sticks. The first bowl of soup was awesome. ( chicken gnocchi) it was thick and creamy. The second was thinking and watery it lacked flavor and richness. My appetizer cost $2or so more than the pic but it was pretty good. Overall the experience was not bad. I will dine there again but will ask for a table and check the prices of items more closely. As for the soup? Well, I think they should practice consistency.

My wife and I visit Olive Garden about once every two weeks. We like the ambiance and the food as well. Besides, we had a coupon. Its not like mama mias kitchen but its good anyway. This past week we were seated in the bar area and our server was Matt. Sorry but I dont know his last name. His service was perfect. He checked in with us often, offering more drinks and food etc. When it was time to pay the bill he refused to take my money. He said that our lunch was "on him". At first I thought that he was joking, but he was serious. Forgetting the freebie, our lunch was just fine. I left a larger than normal tip and walked out with a smile on my face. Good food and a super server. All that you could ask for. Thanks Matt. I hope that we see you again.

Ive always loved the Olive garden, but had the worst experience this time! My wife got off work at 830 and we went hoping to have a great meal but as soon as we sat down at 920pm we heard our server get angry at the host for seating us in her section which made us freeze and feel awkward the whole time didnt realize they closed at 10pm we were there we really wanted to leave before our appetizer came out but we stayed hurried and finished so the server could be off work paying before our meal even came out so guys dont go to olive garden at 9 or later because youll probally feel the same way! $70 later im wondering why i even asked my wife if she wanted to go will most likely not be coming back!

Like all Olive Gardens they have great salads and pasta along with a chicken marsala that is perfection incarnate, but the thing that sets this Olive Garden apart from the rest is their staff. They have absolutly the best most courtious waiters and staff of any place in town, and they always try to smile and spread the happiness around so that you leave feeling better than you were when you walked in. They are willing to go the extra mile to work with people who are handy capped, and they try to accommodate special requests whenever asked unlike many places which care more about corporate policies than their customers. My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here on June 10 and had a great experience. We met with and talked to Kayla and her management team to set everything up and they were very friendly and were able to do all we asked. The head chef even came out and introduced himself and was very friendly and gracious in thanking us for coming. Great management and staff. Great customer service. And as always the food at Olive Garden was good. Thanks again!

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything about this place is the restaurant youd like to go to eat. It was a Friday and the place was really busy but we hardly had to wait at all before we were shown to our table. New to me was the novel way to order (via a sort of laptop) our order was delivered by a charming waiter within minutes. I even paid my bill and tip with this device all in all a great meal and great service.
