We went there 01-20-14 at 0100, dude with a mustache played on his phone for 30 min while we waited for a table to be cleared... One waitress yelled orders to the cook from 4 feet away (WTF?) then stood there and did nothing even after we asked if they would clear a table for us... She said we should just sit at the bar, which ironically had not even been cleared yet.... They even talked trash about other customers that had just left (they sat at the dirty bar for 15 min with no service before leaving.) The only person working was the chef... I understand that customer service can be difficult but how hard is it to clear a table? (They had at least 4 dirty tables to be cleaned.) There is absolutely no excuse here... Who ever owns this waffle house needs to take action otherwise they will continue to lose money. Never going to this waffle house again, avoid it like the plague unless you are a fan of wasteing your time and "Inconveniencing" the staff by your presence... Due to the poor service they likely lost close to $200 in sales from all the people that walked out before we did.

Hey to everyone who has had problems with servers please dont give up on this location I am hopefully about to get hired currently on maternity leave. Ive read all these reviews and ridiculous I was trained to acknowledge as customers come in beat them to the seat if possible get there orders if ready then call it in from the proper marker located within the kitchen if they are not ready get the drinks give them time to think then go from there. I have worked for WH for about a year I worked 3rd shift on the weekend the busiest nights but I had regulars every weekend who only wanted me If I get hired I promise I will make your experience memorable if you are alone Im the type of waitress thatll sit and talk if you have kids Ill entertain anything to make you happy But our motto is good food fast so to everyone who had to wait without acknowledgment I apologize once I go to my interview I will let the manager know

Waffle house of Dahlonega has the worse and most unedfiecient staff possible. The service has changed over the years. Last year and the years before, the service was acceptable for waffle house (i am a college student so I have been here often). The past two visit attempts I have made were absolutly awful. The first of the 2 last, I sat through it and finished my meal. I took 20 mins for someone to take our order. When we finally got our food, the orders were mixed up and completely wrong. Today, I attempted it again with a friend. We sat down;it was moderately busy. I made eye contact with a few servers and even the manager but NO ONE came to greet us or take our order. We left and will not be going back. I have witness what I described more than once with multiple groups of customers.

Our family eat at the waffle house more than any other place, we went to Dahlondga to eat at a place that was too crowded on a Friday night so we decided to go to the waffle house and it was a bad experience, poor sevice, meal was wrong, and the waitress was rude and made out like it was our fault and it would cost more too correct it... So if you want good service and to feel like your appreciated drive the extra miles to Dawsonville 400 and 53 store because Dahlonaga store will make you not want to ever go to another WH restaurant again very stressful place! Oh and the wait to pay for your meal will be so long you will start to think it was a free meal .

Absolutely wonderful! We had an excellent server named Destiny. She was great, very sweet, and took amazing care of us.The only downside of our visit was the other customer there. She was extremely rude to our server on many occasions after a slight mishap in the kitchen with her order. Even after she apologized multiple times, the sandwich order was corrected, and their check was discounted. We are pretty regular customers and have never had a bad experience with the people there.

Saw a lousy review on Yelp and had to try to counter it. Weve eaten here a lot over the years and whether its stopping in on the way home in my big truck after a month out or a Christmas day meal weve never been disappointed. We just ate there today and had great service from Hootie. They were busy too. Give them a try.

My sister and I just had dinner there, we had the hashbrown cheese steak bowl and asked for picante, sauce, it had brown crust all in it, the floor around grill and prep area was horrid, and then we got over charged. I dont think we will be returning!!
