Okay so, this place is freaking impossible to find. Seriously. IMPOSSIBLE. Even with a GPS youd probably miss a couple turns, since the closer you get to it, the more it looks like you missed it somewhere since its surrounded by suburbs and non-commercial areas. Anyways, that bit of frustration aside, the food here was actually pretty darn good and I was surprised how quickly it was brought out considering the amount of people there. I was there with Joe L. yesterday and we got the pulled pork and brisket kimchi tacos. They were both pretty good portions and definitely satisfied me. The pulled pork tacos were slow cooked with coleslaw and filled with flavor from the sauce, despite the fact that it wasnt overflowing with too much of it. Meanwhile, the brisket and kimchi tacos were spectacular in my opinion, both in taste and texture. They were very juicy and the meat had a soft texture. Although if you must eat your tacos with your hand, then you might think this is a bit too much juice. To me though, it was great that it had that much, especially since the kimchi had the same flavor from it as a result, as did the tortillas. I honestly dont think all tacos are meant to be hand eaten though, so I really liked these. A good frame of reference for food, at least for me, is the fact that I pretty much hate most vegetables, and both these dishes clearly have vegetables. Thats how good they were. Overall, good place, also had live music, but wayyyyy too hard to find, and I didnt appreciate the fact that when my friend handed the phone to a staff member there it was of no use to me, and I was actually HUNG UP on.

Local pub with crazy good food. The chef/cook at this place works in a kitchen the size of a closet but turns out some of the most creative stuff you can imagine. The Chinese Breakfast is fantastic and the fried chicken is anywhere from very good to freakin great depending on whos at the helm that night. If you think you dont like brussel sprouts or cauliflower, youll change your mind at Steinbecks. Dont forget the wings, because even this seemingly cliche bar food gets special treatment as they are done partly in the oven and partly in the smoker to yield fantastic results. A nice bonus, despite what a previous review said, is the prices for the food are really very fair. The beer, however, can be a bit pricey but the selection is top notch and although there are some standards (theyll never be without Guiness) much of the beer menu changes regularly so theres always something new to try. That also goes for the menu, half of which is constantly changing and depends on whats in season and the whim of the chef.

Been in love with this place for years. The smoked wings and Chinese breakfast are my all time favorites here. Fantastic brunch as well and since it isnt well known there is never a wait! The drinks are very good, and the wait staff is super friendly except for the owner (sometimes). But if he isnt nice to you then you probably did something to deserve it. The food quality went down slightly since they changed chefs at some point in the last couple years. Even so, its some of the best food in Atlanta. The patio is great for people watching and Oakhurst is a wonderful community. Highly recommended!

Man, this place really really reminds me of the Porter, just not as big. And perhaps a little easier to find parking as well. I also like that its in Oakhurst and not right smack in the crazy that is Little 5 Points. I got the Chinese Breakfast, and holy crap is it legit tasting. Not that it is a Chinese Breakfast, but the flavors are just right. Which, compared to Porter and their Asian offerings, was definitely a step up. Add on to all of this the great beer selection (Green Flash this time), and youve got a GREAT neighborhood pub.

A casual local Oakhust spot with a variety of beers and some interesting cocktails. There are some innovative options on the menu like Mexican corn on the Cobb and kale/beet salad with brisket. The day I went there were several chef specials including spicy kale fritters I enjoyed. The double burger with bacon and onions is worth a try.

First place Ive walked out of in a long time. Indifferent bartender handing us two menus when we sat down outside, not placing them on the table but holding them in his hand for us to then reach up and gather. And then left. Didnt see him again, so we left, too. I can get treated much worse closer to home, so I wont ever go back.

This place is very nice, and the service is great. Seating is a little tight unless its open outside. The food here is very good but expect to pay a higher price then expected. Beers on tap are a great variety but you will pay for enjoying them also. This place is very nice, but dont expect it to be similar to a local pub.

This place is a cozy 40 seater located on a corner in the west side of Decatur. The bar offers perfect pours of Guinness. Our server was very friendly and gave great recommendations. The bacon wrapped dates stuffed with chorizo were a tasty appetizer and the Tower of Power burger was mouthwateringly good.

Second time in two weeks. Maybe I came after owners were gone on both occasions because all bar staff were eating and drinking behind the bar while I waited to be poured a drink. Cool space , but please serve your patrons who take the time to visit your establishment.

Cool spot that makes you feel immediately at home. Its maybe a little small, but its welcoming. Friendly staff, good bar food and nice selection of draft beers. I got to watch the US plays Germany in the last world cup in there and the atmosphere was wonderful.

Epitome of a neighborhood pub. The service is friendly. The food is awesome. Try the smoked wings. The beer selection is always changing and many of the beers are exclusive to Steinbecks.

My favorite local eatery. Always a great beer selection that gets updated often. High end bar food and the best brunch in town will keep you coming back over and over again.

Best fish-n-chips I have EVER had!!!!!!! Lamb burger was okay but not great. Great choices of beer. On the more pricey side but high quality and worth the extra few bucks.

Great place, but the food is overpriced. Its just pub food prices like a upscale restaurant. Too much!
