Great burgers and amazing sweet potato tots with a decent beer selection. The Square Pub is a relative newcomer to Decatur Square. Although it doesnt have the deep beer menu of the Brick Store, it does have great food and a cozy atmosphere. Food: The food selection is fairly extensive. They have a great burger selection, everything from beef to fowl, to veggie, and a wide variety of toppings to make the burger experience different every time you come in. They also have a Southwestern menu, tacos, and even a brunch menu. Although I havent sampled everything on the menu, I can tell you the turkey and beef burgers are excellent. The Green Chile Burger is a must-try. My favorite side is the sweet potato tots. Staff: The staff is very friendly and the owner/manager is almost always there. Every time Ive been there, hes made it a point to ask how the service and the food was. If you seat yourself and decide to go up to the third floor, make sure someone knows where youre going, or you might have a long wait. Atmosphere: The interior is mostly dark wood which gives it a nice cozy pub aura. There are three floors of seating. The third floor offers a nice view of Decatur Square. Other thoughts: Their alcohol selection, while adequate, isnt as extensive as the Brick Store or Leons Full service, but with their food selection, Id definitely recommend you give them a try.

I previously dined at this establishment on a regular basis. Until I received some very discriminatory treatment from one of the servers there. She was very rude to me and I believe it was based on my race. After I had finished my lunch, I wrote a review on the back of the receipt, basically stating that I felt the manger was nice and the food was good, but the service from my waitress was less than satisfactory. I returned to the restuarant a couple weeks later and sat down at the bar. The same nasty waitress came over to me and told me that I was not welcomed there and would have to leave. I asked to see the manager (whom I had previously given a positive review) and he approached me and also told me that I would need to leave based on her wanting me to. Not sure where he left his balls that day, or perhaps he just shares the same racist views as his employee. Based on my experiences, I will never patronize this establishment again and encourage others not to as well.

If you like green chile this is your place. Its a multi-story pub inspired bar that has a southwestern lean on all of your standard bar foods. Want tots? How about tots with green chiles? Want a burger? How about a burger with green chiles? Pasta with green chile! Hummus with green chile! You get the gist. The thing is, its good! Oh, and they have most of the regular stuff without green chile if you dont like it.

Great place if you want to people watch. Located in the square this pub is a social mecca. Inside seating in a pub atmosphere, food is some of the best pub food Ive had (does the taco platter count as pub food?). Staff were quick and friendly, great casual place, but get ready to shell out for parking. Metered parking avail to lot and garage ranging from $3+.

Great food and service. Their beer selection is out of this world. Bob, the owner, is great! If you ever want to chat about beer he is your guys! Green chilies are a huge part of their menu so if you love those I highly recommend trying their food. The Hash is my favorite by far. Also, try to swing by for the Green Chile Roast!

Everything is made here including chips & dips. Try both the crab dip and green chili tater tots; theyre amazing! They have a brunch menu from 11am to 3pm on Sat/Sun and the pulled pork hash browns are great. They also have their full menu during the brunch if youre not feeling breakfasty. Brittany is a great waitress!!!

The Square Pub is one of Atlantas rare restaurants that is actually good and affordable. Great classics like pot roast and chicken pot pie, along with some really good salads, sandwiches and burgers. Reasonable prices and good service - staff was very patient and helpful with our toddler.

This place may be less great for those uninterested in drinking. Nachos are mediocre; not much on the menu. Burger toppings are a dollar each. Service is friendly but there may be understaffing. There are plenty of places in the square that do this, but better.

Service was a little spotty-- it took a while to get noticed when we walked in. The Square Pub doesnt really seem to have an identity. We ordered some nachos and they came out with the wrong meat but it wasnt a big deal-- they were actually pretty good.

This is one of my favorite local watering holes. They have a great beer selection (including plenty of local beers) and very good food. Everything from the usual bar food to tacos to salads. On Wednesday nights, all drafts are $3!

Great selection of beer on tap and in the bottle. Very laid back atmosphere--even on the weekends--makes it a great place to kick back and enjoy the day or night. A place Id gladly take family or friends visiting Decatur.
