Two part review... (because the first visit was horrible but I wanted to give them another chance) Visit 1 Came with a party of 8. Waited over an hour for our food. Half of the orders were wrong when they did show up. I ordered a Buffalo chicken calzone. Got a calzone with just cheese in it. We were running late so I figured Id try it, but it wasnt good so I didnt even finish it. The dough does seem good so its likely that their calzones and pizza are good when made right, but its unlikely Ill be back to find out... Visit 2 I love pizza and I felt like this place would be the only place around to get a good one, so I came back anyways. Plus, the first visit was so spectacularly bad, I hoped it was a fluke. It was. The time it takes your food to come out is still high, so dont come here for lunch unless youre ordering the lunch specials. My appetizer came out about thirty seconds before my pizza did, which was weird. However, both were very good. I have no idea what was going on the other day, but everything I ordered came out perfectly this time. In summary, they seem to have the occasional bad day, but overall a great experience (as long as youre not in a rush). Not my most favorite pizza in the world (that title belongs to Pepes in New Haven, CT), but its definitely one of the better pizzas Ive had south of the Mason/Dixon.

Service here is always awful and very slow. I like the food and come here regularly but regret this location is the most convenient for me. Other mellow mushrooms avoid making customers wait fifteen minutes before servers greet tables, or before drinks come, or after food has been sitting waiting to be run. Once, a server walked around the entire restaurant with my pizza, did not approach any tables, and eventually returned it under the heat lamp. It would have been funny if we did not plan to come to the restaurant to eat. Usually, I try to just call and place an order for pick-up. Unfortunately, I also usually just have to come to the restaurant because no one answers the phone. The food is consistently good as it is at other mellow mushrooms. The service at this one is just uniquely bad.

I had to stand at the front door when I walked in for a little while longer than I thought I should considering it wasnt busy at all! I felt a little rushed by the waitress when looking at the menu. I kind of wanted to have an appetizer with my meal but she kept flipping through the menu for me at the main courses without asking. Now of course I couldve asked for the appetizer but if they dont need my money I wont force it on them! She may have been new! Otherwise the pizza was pretty good so dont get me wrong but to me nowadays customer service experience is extremely important not just the food! (My reason for only ☆☆☆!!!)

Place an order for a large pizza..2 beers..a salad..and a kid drink. Got everything bit the pizza. Manager just walking around. Our server kept disappearing. 42 minutes passed and no pizza. Mind you..the place was not busy at all (no lines...no wait). Did see the cooks joking in the back...especially since we were sat in front of the cooking station. Wound up just asking for the check. Paid and left. Had poor service 3 times there. The first time the manager had comped my meal...he finally noticed me ditto g for a long period of time. I will never refer...or return to Mellow Mushroom in College Park, GA.

Long wait for lunch to be served after ordering. Wait staff seemed to be stretched thin for lunch crowd. Ordered the pretzel bites, was told they take 20 min to make. These were not good... very doughy and soft. Didnt really taste like pretzels. Ordered cheese slice and house salad. Salad was nothing special but cheese pizza was decent. Steak pita was also not great and my coworker did not finish. Price is reasonable but overall food is average and wait was too long. On plus side service is very friendly.

I visited Saturday July 28.. I had been at a church conference that ended late came to Mellow mushroom with my best friend from second grade we hadnt seen each other in 10 years and growing up Mellow mushroom was out favorite pizza hint the reason we made it a point to go. The white pizza with spinach was amazing Jennifer our waitress she knew we got there late and she made our visit extra special she really took good care of us☺ we most definitely will be back.. thank you

The staff was fine but all while we were there we kept smelling burnt food. Then we recieved a pizza with a burt smelling and tasting dough. On top the pizza looked good but when i bit it and then looked..nah..i got the pizza removed from the ticket..i eat at different locations this one i wont be coming back to. My margarita and pretzels that i never ate came out ok...but the Virginia ave location i dont like...the menus are a bit busy as well.

A solid 3 to 3.5 stars. The ingredients are nothing special. A better mozzarella cheese would improve the taste. The sauce is definitely on tge sweet side. I had a calzone. I chose a veggie selection, but wanted some meat in my meal. No problem. They added sausage, as requested. OK atmosphere. Medium volume rock music. Fair selection of beer on tap (Brooklyn brewind and Sweetwater, among a few others). And free wifi tops it off.

The restaurant looks very nice and new from the outside. A welcome addition to the area, and a great competitor to Oz and Johnnys pizza. I had the meatball sub and it was very tasty. If you go during lunch, you can get a half meatball sub with chips and a drink for $9 and change. I went with the large meatball sub and had tap water for about 20 cents extra. Well worth it. This will be on the list of potential lunch outings.

Seems decent for a family outing with the kids. Dont come in the evening by yourself. Staff doesnt come off as concerned or helpful. Just robotic. The bartender was not welcoming at all. Pizza was good but its MM. Didnt expect anything less. Think this location could use a little training in customer service. And all you bartenders out there? You make your tips by engaging with people. Learn that.

Food is pretty good, but it has always been really cold in the restaurant. Im not talking about on the cool side, I mean it is cold. The bartender told me it goes from being really hot some times to being really cold, as if that was some sort of excuse. Ive only been there in the evenings, so maybe it does get hot in there during the day, but they should try and manage the temperature better.

Very nicely decorated and comfortable. Their pizzas are off the chain! I highly recommend it. Moderately priced, fast service and friendly staff. If youre looking for a nice meal and a place you can visit with others thats not too noisy and is comfortable then give this a try. They also have vegetarian selections so everybody can find something they like.

We were visiting Atlanta and looking for our Sunday night pizza. The Mellow Mushroom was just down the street. The place is in transition from an oriental restaurant. The staff was great very helpful and friendly. We had a house special pizza that was very good. There was a good selection of drinks also.
