5 stars for atmosphere, bar service, and beer. TVs are absolutely everywhere and we enjoyed watch a whole lot of all sports. Definitely a hoppin place. So many beers to choose from. I didnt see a choice for one but 4oz 8 glass tester board would be fantastic! The food, 5 stars for the stuffed shrimp, wow those were good, but 1 star for the fried fish and 1 star for the black and blue salad. My salad didnt have blackened skirt steak, nothing of the sort, yet instead philly steak. Not sure why because I could smell a grill going the whole night, unless they ran out but that would have been nice to know because I cant stand philly steak especially on a salad. I didnt return it because I was hungry and didnt want to wait for anything else. Also, no blue cheese in the salad. The fish, remember the term "wheres the beef"? Thats what applied here. When the hubby was done it looked like he hadnt eaten anything because as he left a pile of the breading since it was loaded with it. In 2 beautiful looking hunks of fish there was probably about the size of an index finger amount of fish in the breading. We sure wouldnt have paid the regular $12 for that so I assume the special price is half the fish. All in all a decent place which we will try again but I will probably get one of the burgers I saw in another reviewers picture or ask questions about the food first.

We live nearby and this is our go-to sport bar. I love the atmosphere and the tv placement is awesome! Im a huge beer enthusiast so the rotating taps always make me happy. There are a couple issues though: 1. The beer menu is hard to read from anywhere except at the bar because of the script and chalk colors. There should be at least a paper beer list at the tables. 2. They seem to be going through some growing pains because it always seems short staffed. Weve had hit or miss service, servers that didnt know the beer menu (which is very frustrating when I cant read the rotating taps and have to get up and walk over to the bar to figure it out for myself), food items listed on the menu that are no longer served, waited 5-10 minutes to get seated, etc. 3. And a tip from a good cook: the bourbon glaze on the salmon is pretty sweet. A little balsamic vinegar and black pepper will take it to the next level. However, none of this is going to stop me from giving this place a good long chance because I love watching football and its the closest option to my house. I fully realize that its new, and that staffing issues are hard on everyone. So I wont stop going, and Ill just keep my fingers crossed that it gets better!

My husband and I had dinner here shortly after it opened. We had heard that this was finally going to be the restaurant and pub that it was in for the long haul, after so many short termers who just couldnt make it work in this restaurant space. We left, not only unimpressed, but having made the decision that we wouldnt be going back. Fast forward to last evening when I had to attend an HOA Board meeting there. Am I ever glad that I did! I honestly believe that Tapps Ale House is a winner and WILL make it for the long haul! I ventured from the usual pub food and had the salmon. Salmon can be hit or miss and is often a miss if youre not in the Pacific Northwest. For me, this is always a true test of a chef, if its on their menu. I was thrilled! It was cooked perfectly, the flavor was outstanding....not at all fishy as it often can be....and I really cant applaud the risotto enough! Perfect flavor AND consistency! A nice side of correctly done asparagus made this an excellent meal. Service couldnt have been better and prices were reasonable. I will most definitely be back and my husband is in for a wonderful treat when I (we) go!

Update: Tapps has changed my opinion for the better!!! The other night I had Tapps for dinner. The service wasnt up to par, but the owner has tried to make it right by offering a gift card and making my experience better. So I will give them another try because the food was really good. So I say great job I trying to make your customers happy when something doesnt go well. Tried Tapps for the first time after living in Hoschton for over a year. The waitress and her trainee were awful. We waited about 10mins before they even acknowledged us. They kept disappearing. At one point to I asked for a refill and its took over 15 mins to get my drink. We ordered an appetizer and it took 45 mins to get. The waitress didnt check on us or let us know the status at all. Its sad because the food is pretty good, but the service experience makes me not want to come back. Very disappointing.

We walk in..... The bartender was already VERY DRUNK, yet we try to ignore it, but it was kind of hard when it takes 25 minutes to make two drinks because she forgets what we even asked her for. She could barely speak right. Was extremely rude when we corrected her drink making and she goes: “um I’ve been bartending for 21 years, you think I don’t know how to make it?” Yet she made them completely wrong because she was wasted by this point. Then by 11pm, she ends up punching a customer in the face because she was talking to her boyfriend. Horrible bartender and person in general. Yet all other employees saw her act this way and completely ignored it. Awful first time experience. Will not recommend to anyone. You might want to hire bartenders who won’t get wasted while working.

We got here at 7pm tonight. A slight wait is to be expected on Friday, but we didnt get our food until 9. When it arrived, it was apparent that some of it had been sitting for a while. My coleslaw was hot, the lettuce and pico de gallo were a nasty brown pile on the plate. Despite the fact we were all starving (and Im pregnant and starving to boot), there is food left on all of our plates. The decor and atmosphere are cool. I guess if youre just looking for a place to drink, it would be good. Do yourself a favor and dont order food.

We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and they had one server working. Poor girl had a full house and was doing her best. After an hour of waiting the rest of my table got their food but my burger had been burnt and I would have to wait for a new one. Not a big deal as they comped it, but my new burger was basically raw...overall I think just poor management. No fault of the serving staff

Really enjoyed here! Staff was super friendly and the food was great! Will definitely eat here again if we travel back this way. My only suggestion was, during dinner, the sun was setting, and we were in a booth near the door, and the sun was shining straight in my face thru the window above the door, so maybe a little blind or curtain to cover that. But everything else was great!!
