I was in town visiting on business. On the way to a presnetation meeting I yelped for a good coffee place. I hate large chains where the coffee is always burnt. Well, this place was head and shoulders above many small shop brewers even in N.Y. their coffee guru Cayleb walked me through his process and made me a cold brew redeye that powered me through my day. If you are from the area you absolutely have to stop by, its located upstairs. The hours say they open at 8 but they are to serve you at 730 for sure. If you like coffee you dont know what you are missing. They even roast their own beans. Local people, local brew. Check this place out!

This place has gourmet coffee, smoothies, lunch that is made from locally grown and sourced ingredients, and free wifi. The owner is super nice and has done a fantastic job of decorating the shop to give it the perfect relaxing atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the outside veranda. The shop is located on the second floor of what used to be a bank building. Do yourself a favor and stop by.

Went for the great reviews, stayed because it lived up to them. Beautiful, elegant atmosphere paired with fantastic food and cappuccino makes for a successful business. Would highly recommend. Also, its on the second floor of the building which if thats why its called Higher Grounds, thats really funny haha

The chicken cesars salad is my favorite here. I think is the only thing I eat here because when I come in the girls already know what I want to order lol!!! The service is great and the quality is 5 stars. Good portions and relaxing atmosphere... great place to escape from office for an hour lunch.

Great little coffee shop. They have a nice balcony as well on which you can smoke. Great to have a place that sells coffee and at which you can smoke. Am I right?
