This place is disgusting. I was there this morning. I sat that the bar style seating. After I ordered, noticed the cooking staff. The person who puts the sides on the plates had on no gloves. He was grabbing handfulls of fries, bagels, fruit, etc. all with no gloves. He was wiping the sweat off of his forehead and then handling the food. He went to get sour cream and stuck his fingers in the sour cream and then he was eating while preparing peoples plates. No one working there seemed to mind this happening. My food came and there was no way that I was eating it. I told the server and then he told the person. The guy put on gloves afterwards. They offered me something else to eat, but NO THANKS. I am just warning you all because this is certainly not the first or last time it will happen. OH YEAH, when I was seated, a cockroach crawled across the bar. No joke!

I had a great experience here! I got a salt bagel, toasted, with sundries tomato cream cheese. Hands down the best bagel Ive had in Atlanta. It was chewy but not raw, warm but not over-hot. The cream cheese was flavorful and thick. Service was quick, easy, and to the point. Restaurant is comfortable and clean. It was so inviting, I wanted to sit down and have a cup of coffee, but I had to get to work so I got it to go. This is a fast-faced, New York style shop. The style and tone of the staff reflect that. So keep that in mind before you jump to any conclusions about attitudes. These guys are great. A little confidence goes a long way. Hands down, best bagel shop I know of in the Metro.

This place unfortunately is one of few bagel options in Atlanta. I dont go here as often as I crave a bagel (usually go without...Im a native NYer) but sometimes my craving gets the better of me and EVERY time i leave disappointed. The waitstaff is rude, the manager is a punk kid whose worthless and the food is mediocre at best. I love fish and this last time, each type (kippered salmon, whitefish and whitefish salad) were ALL very fishy and didnt taste fresh at all. I dont understand the lines everytime I visit - my best guess is that theres so few options.

Its a good attempt at a deli, unfortunately for anything that is regional you have to go back to the area where the food is located. Im from NJ (southern) so I enjoy a good bagel and for those of you who know that that means Im talking about a bagel not a roll with a hold in the middle of it. I took my father when he came down and he enjoyed it because it was the closest thing to back home. Of course he went back home and hes enjoying deli food again. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get as close to the Northeast as you can get.

Undercooked, average bagels at best. Do not know why people from Atlanta would rate this place so highly, except everything down here is on a different scale, pizza, Italian food in general, Chinese food... its all fairly awful here. It is like saying someone is the tallest midget -- meaningless. Anyway, take it from a native New Yorker -- fly to NYC and get yourself a bagel. Also tried the chicken salad based on a review here... it was pasty overcooked chicken cubes with mayo and waaayy too much salt. OY!!!

At 9 am on a Thursday morning, I ordered a wheat everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and nova. the bagel was cool, and had been sitting out for a while. not freshly baked and not crisp. The veggie cream cheese portion size was miniscule, and didnt have much veggie content. I missed the scallions which were not present in their version, and the vegetable pieces were quite tiny. The Nova was not bad. It was quite busy, but bagel take out service was speedy. There are better bagels in north metro Atlanta.

As a Native Atlantan and a Southern Jew who grew up on the SnacknShop, I find that Goldbergs is a fitting successor to that august Atlanta institution. The food is consistently good, and the service is fantastic. Perhaps the only negative is the line to pay for ones meal on occasion; that wait can seem interminable. The owner, a South African Jew who came here after having enough of Apartheid, is a first-rate gentleman and a hell of a businessman.

I love Goldbergs. Typically I visit the East Cobb location and I can say I prefer it. This locations service is eghhh and the space they are in is far too cramped for my taste. Head up to East Cobb to get a little more elbow room and service that you fool really cares. I couldnt come here and not get an everything bagel. It is just the right amount of salty and delicious. Eggs are cooked well and latkas are a staple with some apple sauce.

As a Jew hailing from the Northeast, I just cant give Goldbergs a higher rating. The bagels are okay but the only other option is a freezer-section Lenders. The rugalach cookies are good but Ive sometimes bought them only to realize they were still frozen. I cant muster the courage to even try a knish. That said, the lox cream cheese and white fish salad is great!

Its not New York, its Atlanta, so ignore the comparisons. They do not use water from New York...but the food is fantastic! Id also take the Goldbergs staff hospitality over a NY deli (Katz) any day. No matter how busy, no matter the line, the staff is always nice. The only thing - check your to go orders...always. The latkes are amazing!

Bummed I didnt realize this place was amazing until 10 years after I moved to Atlanta. Simple yet so tasty. Hands down the best bagel and cream cheese Ive ever had. The service? Umm, top notch! Every single server is on point and Eric, the manager, gets to know every customer and hes part of why we come in just about every weekend.

The very best chicken soup in existence, consistently good service, terrific breakfast at any time, bagels that are just about perfect - Im running out of good things to say. The only thing is that they arent running out of good food! Try it - youll like it. Especially the club sandwich, NY Reuben, and the new Pickle Fries!

Its a pretty good Jewish deli but it really has no competition as it is the only one in Atlanta. Fun atmosphere but the wait can be extremely long. They have a great bakery though, espially their Challah. I recommend their holiday Challah which is covered in cherries and icing. Its simply the best!

This deli has gluten free bread and bagels, but it is not the best GF bread. It is Udid brand, and usually crumbly. There are so many better brands of bread and bagels (Canyon, Three Bakers). This place is always busy but the staff works pretty quick. Love getting a reuben every now and then.

Goldbergs was great when they first opened...no longer is that true. Rarely is the food good...chopped chicken liver is often sour...kept too long. Service is not the best either. Just an ok place for breakfast and a bagel...also needs a clean up of the entire restaurant!
