Im a fan of food, but never very picky...this was probably the worst experience Ive had at any restaurant. Went with 2 others and none of us came out happy. Lets start with the food, we ordered a couple of boneless biryani and apollo fish along with mango lassis. We were told the lassi was freshly being prepared and would take time - fine with us..fresh lassi is tasty. About 20min after sitting, the cook comes out and says they dont have any lassi (mind you, there were only a few tables filled on a Sunday evening) so we got a refund. 10min later the cook comes back out and explains that there was no more boneless chicken for the biryani, so we said ok to the boned variety...5min later, the hostess comes back and informs us that they have boneless and continue with that. In the meantime, we received the fried fish - out of the 5-6 large pieces, 2 were big chunks of batter (or so we were told)!! When we asked for something in exchange, the cook agreed but the hostess tried to charge us. 15min or so later we received the boneless biryani...this was ok compared to our experience till that point. Although, they managed to screw this up as well, I ordered spicy and friend ordered mild, the cook brings them out and has no idea which one is which. After all this, they had the nerve to ask us for a $2 difference in exchange of fried chunks of batter! I also agree with the other reviewers, being charged extra for a tiny cup of raita doesnt make sense. Now the ambiance - the floors look old and the hardwood looks rotten and is very uneven in places, the tables wobble along with the chairs. Leaves a lot to be desired. Ive been here 3 times over a course of a year or so (went when it first opened), 2 out of the 3 were bad, 1 was mediocre - this time will probably be the strike out. There are far better Indian restaurants in the area...that are probably less expensive. Maybe the take out is worth it...but I will not be trying it to review again.

The service and quantity is pathetic. No where close to its other restaurants in NJ & Dallas. Me and my other two friends went there for dine in. Hope others wont have the same experience what we had. 1. We waited for 30 min after ordering and we expecting hot biryani becasue it took so long for our order to arrive, but surprised that it was just warm. Dont know why they took more than 30 min for the order. 2. The quantity is very less. Me and my friend ordered mutton biryani and totally upset seeing the quantity. There were only 2 chops and it looked like they just sprinkled the rice on those chops. It looked like they were serving snack item and not a biryani. We felt they were serving for sample purpose. 3. We have to call several times to get the waiters attention to complain about the quantity, but he was not at all hearing us. Guess he is deaf. Even other restaurant staff also not even checking the guests if they need anything and everything fine 4. We asked for extra raita and salaan (masala gravy) and we waited for 15 minutes and again asked if we are getting those. Guess what, we told that they are working on it. Wondering if they are preparing those on cup by cup basis. Any sensible restaurant will prepare in advance those if they nearing to be out. At last we didnt get them. 5. My other friend ordered vegeterian biryani and he literally just got plain rice with no vegetables at all. 6. We told our honest opinion about the service & food but they were not keen on our review and he didnt even felt sorry that we didnt have good experience there. 7. The biryani tasted ok, but it is definitely not a dum biryani. We also ordered mango lassi and it was not good. 8. Even we over heard from other customers on the other tables complaining that they wont come back again. Hopefully this will be read by restaurant people and take some serious actions to make it better.

Went with a friend for late lunch, around 2:30 pm. The place was open, but all of the overhead lights were off. Waitress seated us, but would not give us menus. I got the menus myself. While I was looking the waitress came over and told us all we could order was Biryani, nothing else on the menu. We ordered two goat biryani plates, one spicy and one regular. We also ordered one mango laasi, one sweet laasi and a Coke Zero. There was one other family in the place, who were eating a variety of non-Biryani dishes and were obviously Indian. I dont know if only allowing us to order Biryani was a bias because we were not Indian and the owner thought we wouldnt eat/appreciate his food. I have eaten Indian food for most of my life and am a student of the culture and cuisine. Anyway, both of the Biryani plates were super, extra hot. The laasis were pre-made and sitting in a cooler. None of those were the biggest issue, however, As we were dining, our waitress LEFT. As in, left the building, went home, clocked out....no one asked us if we needed anything- she just LEFT. The owner/manager stood at the cash register and talked on his cell phone while changing Hindi music videos every 60 seconds, clearly wanting us to pay and go. Now, I know it was an "off" time, but if you dont want to be open between lunch and dinner time, CLOSE THE DOORS! Dont make your customers feel like they are an imposition or they, like us, wont come back. I couldnt even ask about the spice level of our food because our waitress was gone and the owner could not have cared less. I will spent my money on better Indian food at restaurants where my patronage is appreciated.

Before going to review first My policy is "NOT TO WASTE THE FOOD". With out seeing Rating Today(Mothers Day) I went to this Restaurant with my Wife and daughter and For Mothers day special They provided special free Biriyani (with desert) to my wife. Before reaching (12:30 PM) restaurant we thought it would be rush with all Moms because this offer. But after entering restaurant I was incorrect (Because I am the first person). We thought of to dine out side to enjoy fresh air, but its bad smell(with all smoked cigarettes) and then we decided to sit inside. Then I ordered one chicken biriyani, chicken 65( which my daughter favorite food) and special biryani for My wife. It took almost 20 Mins and they bought chicken 65. Believe it or not they just bought chicken mixed with red chilli sauce (first time I ever saw such kind of recipe in any restaurant). After tasting that one its really hard to eat another piece. Its just like sponge . In another 15 mins We got our order Goat Biryani ( Moms Special) and Chicken Biryani. Its not fresh and they just bought it previous day Biryani. When eating Chicken biryani I felt bad smell from piece and I stopped to eat. The goat biryani even it is not fresh but some what tasty. then my wife and me had completed only Goat Biryani. At last final moment came to pay the check. Before that they bought complementary desert (Gulab jam). I am done I think its better not to talk about desert. I thought of not to give single penny as Tip, But I dont have choice and its not allowing me to Pay the bill. Then at last i paid the bill with 10% tip. This was Horrible lunch in my life and they spoiled Mothers Day .
