Scoops is my goto place when the kids demands for some ice cream must be met (try not to keep such evil temptations in the house). The ice cream selection is large and we never fail to find something new to try. The atmosphere does leave a little to be desired. The setup appears to have been done on a budget. Visible at the back of the store is exposed cinderblock and electrical panels. The seating is worn and hodge-podge. The signage and setup behind the counter has a very hand built vibe (not the good kind) and the staff is varied and non-uniform in their interactions and presentation. It is enough to make me wary about cleanliness and inconsistent operating procedures. Although we go there often, I feel compelled to keep me eyes peeled as food is prepared. But on a hot summer day, this place will feed the need.

Words cannot even begin to describe the deliciousness of their ice cream. Their chocolate fudge brownie and captains chocolate is so good, even when topped with hot fudge (really good hot fudge) - and thats a lot of chocolate. Probably the best Ice cream you can get from anywhere. I would recommend this place any day over any other ice cream shop in the area, including Cold Stone. Good prices, good service, good ice cream! No wonder the long lines each time I go in - its worth it.
