Theres a sign at the door that says "icecream starts at 12" We werent really sure what it meant by that so we walk in and we see two people there. Both of them sorta talking to each other and the larger man having his back turn to us. The young lady says "hi" thats it. We greet them back and decide to look at the icecream menu and as were staring at it no one really talks to us. It was a good 5 minute of my partner and I discussing what ice cream we would get. So I told my partner, in a louder voice, "I think I want to try berry". And then the man who had his back behind us, who didnt greet us, finally turned to us and said "you two want ice cream? It doesnt start til 12. We sell pastries early in the morning. Theres even a sign" My partner and I just sorta looked at each other.. We said we werent really sure what the sign said. And that maybe well come back when it starts. So my experience was quite awkward and workers there were rude. The horrible sign they put on the door wasnt even clear enough. What you mean icecream starts at 12? Only one person greeted us (young lady) and the larger guy who seems to be the one in charge didnt. How do you not greet your own paying customers? Young lady says "Hi" and walks off. No one to really assist and ask what we wanted until the large guy over hears me talk about ice cream. There wasnt any explanation to why they dont start icecream until 12. What places do that? Im not upset that you have different hours and I couldnt get icecream. I work in the service industry and communication is key. The vibe of this place isnt welcoming at all and you know if you arent welcome you better go somewhere else. Thats how much I value being treated kindly. I will NOT be returning.

This place is just a gimmick... Its like a hibachi steak house, only instead of a mediocre Japanese food its mediocre ice cream. The end product is just average. Its not really ice cream but rather frozen milk. Dont come here if you are in a hurry. There are only three cold tables where they prepare the ice cream, and it takes from three to five minutes of prep time per order... So if there is more than ten people in line, you are gonna wait. We were told hour long wait times are not unusual, and this is for something that will maybe take you five minutes to actually eat. For the time/expense you are better off going to Harris Teeter and buying a half gallon of your favorite flavor. On top of that the A/C doesnt work well so it feels like 90 degrees inside this place. The staff is nice though and they work as fast as they can despite being handicapped by the inherent inefficiency of their setup.

Went there this evening, arrived at 8:58pm only to be greeted at the door by an employee who informed us that if we didnt place an online order then we would not be able to be served since they close at 9pm. First of all what kind of Ice Cream store closes on a Saturday night in June at 9pm. Secondly, is business that good that you turn away customers? I was in the ice cream business for many years and know that if you dont make your money in season you will never survive. It must be really good to turn away a paying customer. I dont care how good it is, I think it is a bad business model to close at 9pm on a Saturday in June. They have a movie theatre just down the road, they are losing so much business. They lost us as paying customers and a local competitor was happy to our $20 in business tonight.

I live in the neighborhood and tried out Jolly Rolls the other day. The process is really cool to watch and the Berry Fusion was delicious. Since its opening the lines have been a bit ridiculous & the space is far too small to accommodate the crowds. The space issue wouldnt be so bad if the layout was set up to allow better flow. The business that was previously in the space had the register at the far end of the counter towards the bathroom & the pick up area near the door. That set up made sure people were able to enter & exit the store without getting pushed in the crowd or into tables. If management wants to keep customers happy and people coming back they should consider changing the layout to better accommodate customers.

To those of you who are complaining about a long line I kindly recommend using the door. As for me I believe this is by far the tastiest and creamiest icecream I have ever had. If you are wondering why the line is so long it is because they must make the icecream by hand each time to assure the freshest possible icecream. I personally fell in love with the Fanta-C Icecream which is an icecream made with Orange soda syrup and Orange Fanta, this is something I have never before seen and it tastes just as good as it sounds. Honestly I recommend this place and if you are looking for great icecream this is the place I would come to.

Great ice cream! This is the first time Ive had anything cooked on an anti-griddle, and it turned out delicious. All ingredients (outside of a few sauces, of course) are the real deal. For instance, I got the Bronze Banana (picture included)... and they peeled a banana, chopped it up (hibachi style) on the freezing "cooktop," added the liquid sweetened milk, and froze the whole deal in mere seconds. Very very cool. While I watched them making it, I was halfway concerned that it might turn out dry or icy, but Im happy to report that the final product was creamy and smooth. Ill definitely be back.

I guess it is more about the experience of seeing what equates to about a single scoop of ice cream being scraped into rolls for about $5. The ice cream is more like ice milk, what you can get at any fast food restaurant, mixed in with ingredients of your choice. It was pretty good and I would have rated it higher if the ice cream was really that good. Save your money and get larger portions for the same price elsewhere that uses real cream for a creamy, filling treat.

Im Cuban, from Miami... So I know. The colada is no where near Miami standards, café con leche is pretty good and the pastelitos were delicious. Warm and fresh... Really good. Ill edit the review when I have the ice cream but went on a Saturday and there was a 45 wait from when you order to when its was ready. Way, way too crowded. Staff mentioned any day during the week is fine. There is also no where to sit, inside or outside!!!
