For those of us who grew up in the area, Triangle Hoagies where literally a staple in many homes. These hoagies were the version of fast food in our house (Im 51)if you knew you were having them, you couldnt wait to see that paper wrapped battleship on the table!!! These paper wrapped pieces of deliciousness were at everyones celebrations from then and still today. Some may not understand the love affair with Triangle hoagies, try just one and youll begin to understand

Its OK. I ordered the cheese steak since everyone was raving about it. The bread is good...the steak is a very generous portion. Its cooked well...the servers are polite and fast. But the taste...not so much. My cheese steak was watery and tasteless. NEVER eat them in your car...youll have drippy, saturated hoagie juice to clean off your seats and clothes. Im going to chalk it up to a bad day and try a different sandwich another time.

Ive been getting Battleships here for as far back as I can remember, since I was a little kid. And apparently this place has been around since my mom was a kid, and since my granddad was a kid. Its not much to look at -- on the outside our the inside. But I will never get tired of their subs, for as long as I live! To me, this place is a Pittsburgh staple, I would bring out of towners here! Thanks, Triangle!

If you want a sub, forget subway. If youre in the area, this is a must stop shop. These sandwiches are legendary for such an unassuming bar. Ive driven half an hour our of my way just to stop here for lunch. Definitely worth a look in. If youre getting there near noon, call and order ahead of time because the line will be out the door.

Google or whoever really needs to fix the prices on the menu. Says the Italian super battleship is 13.25 , ended up being 17. Ive been here multiple times, highly recommend the cheese steak or Italian . Call ahead cause its frequently busy on weekends & lunch/dinner time

A pittsburgh sandwich shop with good enough bread that it doesnt need to be toasted. Real oil and vinegar not store bought Italian dressing and the local sandwich shop feel of a dive bar. Great bang for you buck classic hoagie and they are gigantic. L

Got lunch once a week for two years there,while working at Braddock dam. Even drove from northside and got a bunch of hoagies and delivered them to my wifes work in Butler. The people couldnt believe the size of the hoagies.
