Horribly rude service from the girl working tonight 8/31 @8pm. My husband and me are on vacation (and are actually considering moving here) and I wanted some ice cream. This place has great reviews so I asked him to go here. He walked in said hello and the girl working looked at him, said nothing, and looked away and started washing her hands so he walked out. This is not the first rude encounter we have had down here. What the issue is I am not sure. People in St. Louis, MO where we live were rude but not this rude! What is up with the people here? They are either really nice or extremely rude. Not sure moving here is an option anymore. I really wanted to try their ice cream too.

We were in PCB for the day during our vacation to Destin. We were hot and tired after several hours at the beach and looking for some delicious ice cream to cool off and enjoy. We found it!!! This place is a mom and pop style shop with friendly people (probably the owners) and some of the best truly homemade ice cream Ive ever had! Theres nothing fancy about this place. Youd miss it if you werent looking, but boy can they make some great ice cream! Be sure to taste a few before you decide. They dont mind and youll need help deciding. Every one I tried was delicious. They use real coconut in their coconut ice cream. Yummmm! Well definitely go back!!!

The ice cream was good but the reason it received 3 stars is because its cash only. And in todays society not many of us carry cash...oh but wait...they have an atm. Lol...so if we want ice cream we have to pay a surcharge fee to get cash. Luckily I actually just took cash out prior to going. We wont go back, even though its a walking distance from our room, because we dont carry cash.

The moment I walked into The Homemade ice cream shoppé my life changed forever. I ordered a medium fudge brownie (from the beautiful lady up front). By the looks of the ice cream I was not impressed, however when I took my first bite my jaw dislocated from a flavor explosion. My life will never be the same knowing I will never have up ice-cream up to these standards.

My absolute favorite ice cream, ever. My husband, daughter, and I come down pretty frequently from Birmingham, Al. When we come to the beach, we visit here, multiple times! Haha Its way to good, to only have once a trip. Wish the price was a little less, but I clearly keep buying it. Haha GO HERE.

Aaaactually a 4.5, the last .5 was lost on the semi grouchy servers attitude. But she was alright and the ice cream was phenomenal. Walk to the left once you get inside, lest you get yelled at. Enjoy! Were going back again the very next night!

Average at best. I had the fudge brownie and the flavor seemed off, not quite sure what is was...sort of like powdered carnation mix. The place could use a good cleaning. Chairs were stained and some of the tables were dirty.

I visited in July of this year. The ice cream was wonderful! I had banana and peanut butter combination and it was delicious! We visited more than once during our stay. I would be in trouble if it were in my home town.

The ice cream is wonderful! We went twice on our recent beach trip. The older woman working the counter seems to be mad at the world though. Proceed with caution. Fortunately the other staff were friendly and smiling.
