Its Friday night and Im feeling lazy so I wanted to order delivery. 1st off... $15min delivery so I ordered a combo and added some krabmeat rangoon to meet my minimum they were $5. Let me start by the delivery time... it took almost an hour and a half to get my food. I ordered online and paid with a card so I added the tip online as well. When my food got here the price was different on the receipt then what I saw online and guess what?.. that extra money was added to the tip!! without my permission... extra tip? for an hour and a half wait time... but w.e I was hungry so I go sit down and take out my food... I open the box of krab rangoon... A DEAD FLY!!! no joke. I should have taken a picture. So those went out, plus they looked dry and not cooked all the way and they were cold..like my food. The combo was alright just like any other Chinese restaurant. However I know I could have paid less for better quality somewhere else. This isnt the first time Ive eaten here but it is definitely my last. Overpriced to begin with then they charge you extra without saying. By the way I called to express my concern and the manager did not care that there was a bug in my food. Apparently thats okay if they are busy. Dont recommend.

Anybody who says they got bad quality food at Luya mustve either been really unlucky or really picky about their food. This isnt a fancy high-class restaurant, obviously, but the people who work there are nice and recognize you if you come enough. Their General Tsos chicken has real peppers in it, it tastes great every time and is a must try. Their Orange Chicken has actual orange shavings in it, and instead of tasting overly sugary you get a taste of orange you usually dont find in your typical chinese fast food place. They are almost always blazing fast with your order, even if they say 10-15 min it comes out usually in 7-10 mins. If youre at UCF, compare their food with the Asian Chao place in the food court, Asian Chao is more expensive and tastes worse. For example, just compare their orange chicken, Asian Chao gives you that sugary stuff thats standard fare for some fast food joint, Luya gives you some real orange chicken with a bunch of rice and egg roll or soup if you take their Lunch Combination Special. Give the place a try, its my favorite spot near campus for Chinese food and they offer their lunch special at all hours to students with ID (just ask for student special). Luya rocks!

Placed an online order for sesame chicken, General Tsos chicken and "krab" rangoon for a total of $27.47 delivered - upon arrival I asked the driver if the total was $37 (mistakenly thinking it so) and he said it was. So I gave him $45. Checking my order I found the rangoon missing. I called back and verified the total of my order, then asked for the $10 I accidentally tipped extra. The driver brought the rangoon but insisted that I only provided him with $35, although my cash consisted entirely of 20s and a single 5. The food was typical NY style fare and wasnt particularly expensive, but I dont appreciate dishonesty and taking advantage of a customers mistake. If I ever do business with them again, I will be using a credit card to avoid any similar situations.

Ordered delivery and received it in less time than was quoted... The fried rice that came with the combo platters was awesome! We love that it didnt have all the veggies/peas in it! The egg roll/egg drop soup was also good. Our only complaint is that we ordered one Orange chicken and one General Tsos chicken and we couldnt tell which was which! They looked and tasted the same! One of the take out boxes said "ORG" on the top so we assumed it was orange chicken, but both meals tasted identical! I hope we got two orange chickens and can try the General Tsos in the future, because regardless- the chicken was good!

DIdnt care for the entrees. I ordered veggies with garlic sauce, steamed dumplings, veg lo mein, egg rolls, orange chicken and sweet n sour chicken. The white rice that came with the food was mushy; very unappetizing. The veggies with garlic sauce was average; tasted like any other Chinese place. Ditto for the Egg rolls , dumplings and sweet n sour chicken. I threw out the lo mein because it was very mushy. The two stars is for the customer service; very nice woman who answered the phone. I would order again but only the appetizers which, frankly, ANY chinese place can get right.

If youre at UCF and need a place to stop by and eat lunch, this is a good place. However, I completely agree with Foodie13s sentiments. I always feel the same way when ordering delivery from them. Its not a good idea. Dont order too much food from them because the quality goes down and in the end you just feel cheated. The duck was $25 and it was hard, too salty, and dry. I can buy freshly roasted duck from the supermarket downtown for $16. You can definitely buy better food elsewhere, so this place is really just good for students on a quick lunch break.

I wish I wouldve read the reviews before I wasted my money on this. This has got to be thee WORST chinese food I have ever had in my 52 years on this planet. The chicken tasted old, the wonton soup was too salty, the fried rice had no flavor at all and it tasted stale, the egg rolls were soggy and dripping in grease, the shrimp and lobster sauce looked like snot and there were only 4 shrimp. I will never order from here or recommend this place to my neighbors dog. Also they charged my credit card more than the recepit stated. BAD, BAD, BAD BUISNESS

First time I ordered here it took 90 mins for my order to be delivered. It was lukewarm and the general tso chicken was hard. I would have cancelled it but I didnt have my car and I was starving at work. I tried to order from again today because they are the only chinese restaurant that will deliver to my job and they charged my extra because their prices had changed and they hadnt updated the website. There was NO WAY i was spending $20 on food just for myself. Thats insane. I wont be ordering from here again.

Heres the trick with Luyas: do not order delivery, do not even make a phone order for pickup. Come in person, place the order face to face, then have a short wait and chat. This will avoid a lot of mistakes. Their veggies are nicely crisp and their hot and sour soup is decent. I like their Kung Pao and General Tsos chicken dishes. Prices are low for standard fare. The owners are a family (common for this type of establishment) and are friendly - but again, the face to face interaction makes a difference.

This place absolutely sucks! I ordered what I thought was bourbon chicken, boy was I wrong. The chicken had a horrible taste (was definitely not bourbon), and the meat.. I hope was chicken, was rubbery and tough and smelled horribly! Not to mention I didnt even finish my meal and I was sick (ill let u think that one out) for a whole week.. it was HORRIBLE!! I will never eat at this place nor will I ever recommend it to anyone, not even my worst enemy.
