I love the Brio in Winter Park and was so excited last night to eat at the one on Conroy near the mall. Disappointed doesnt even begin to describe the night. First they screwed up my drink order...I was pretty impressed with this since I had ordered WATER. I ordered the same dish that I always order at the other Brio. One of the servers (we had two) told the runner that the dish he brought out was mine. When I told him it wasnt (it was clearly the wrong meal) he argued with me and said, "Yes, thats what you ordered." So, I sent it back and asked for my actual meal. It was brought out in less than 5 minutes, which is great and all except that it was STILL not exactly what I ordered and more than that, it was burnt. It takes real talent to burn angel hair pasta. I sent it back again and decided that I would just munch on the bread at the table. My friend was asked if she wanted grated cheese on her meal. She shook her head, said, "No thank you." and the server proceeded to cheese away. They then threw away my friends leftovers when she had asked for a box and proceeded to argue with her about it! Finally, it took about 20 minutes from when we asked to get the check and they refused to split it up. There were SIXTEEN of us and the majority of us only had credit cards. Another half an hour went by while we complained to the manager who ALSO argued, but finally split it 8 ways....not really much more helpful. This was THE worst dining experience Ive ever had, and it was especially disappointing because the Brio in Winter Park is excellent and provides excellent service.

Stopped by here tonight with the wife as we got hungry while doing some mall shopping. I guess I should have set my expectations lower considering we were at the mall. Server was slow, spent most of his time shmoozing at the hostess stand and then rushing over to his various tables to, you know, do his job. It was kind of entertaining. The food was ok, bland. My plate came out insanely hot, clearly from sitting under a heat lamp, presumably while my wifes meal was being prepared. Even the spoon was hot that sitting in my plate. Found out the hard way. Ordered a couple of drinks from the signature cocktail list, they were ok, nothing special. Decided to switch drinks mid meal after finishing the first ones. Naturally the drinks didnt arrive until we had finished our food. And somehow, against all odds, they managed to mess up a whiskey and coke and a house cab. Neither of those are particularly special or difficult to make. The wine just has to be poured. But yeah, my whiskey and coke was in fact whiskey and flat pepsi. Im not a pepsi fan. If you serve pepsi products, you should say so. I didnt order a whiskey and cola, I ordered a whiskey and Coke. Oh and my wifes wine was bad. We left them both, paid and got out of there. So to summarize, bad service, bland food, and poor drinks. I wouldnt eat here again.

The waitstaff is very friendly, the restaurant is clean and spacious and beautiful decor. On the 16th of September of this year we chose to dine here for lunch, we came in through the wrong door and a member of staff directed us to the hostess, we were seated almost immediately, our waitress was supposed to have a young lady helping her but we never saw her. We ordered our food which looked beautiful, very well presented. First the bread and crackers, the bread was hard enough to break a tooth, so we passed on that, the crackers were ok if you like crunchy sesame seeds on it. I ordered a lobster bisque, ( before I say this, I understand it is a fishy salty soup, I love salt) but the soup was beyond salty, and not as creamy as I expected, I did however like the shrimp added to it. Then I had a roasted tomato pasta dish which also came to the table over salted, again I understand roasted and sundried tomatoes give a saltier flavor, but it was as if someone broke the salt shaker over it salty, I returned that and was pleased enough to eat it but not pleased enough to order it ever again. My friend ordered a salad and returned it, a sandwhich and returned it as well. Isnt someone tasting the food before it comes out? Dissapointed

I dont see how this place is a 4 star restaurant. We were on our way to the cheesecake factory or capital but the wait time was almost 2 hours so we said lets try this place according to its ratings. Wow was it a bad choice they had no line no waiting. We were seated and the wait began. The waitress came and took the drink order about 15 min later she passed by and I said we are ready to order the food. She stopped and took our order then left, 13 min for our drinks and 10 min later we got the appitizer 35 min in. Wow it sucked, 45 min in she brings a basket of bread. After an hour and 15 or so min we got our food and the kids are hungry cranky and wanna sleep. The food was hot just made and not tasty I had the angle hair pasta with boiled chicken that sucked. My kids cheese burger tasted 10 time better my wife had the lamb chops not bad. The time waiting ruined the night the waitress was overwhelm and it was obvious why they had empty tables. Not worth the cost at all and I am not comparing this place to none.

My girlfriend and I come to Brio everytime we are craving carpaccio. They have the best carpaccio in town at the most reasonable price. We always sit at the bar and the service is always wonderful. They are prompt on taking orders and making drinks. They are friendly and constantly checking to make sure everything is good. They have happy hour mon - fri from 3:30 - 6:30, then again from 9 - close. Many small dishes are $3.95 like the carpaccio and Tuscan tots. Great drink specials too. The veal milanese is fantastic. Two giant thin pieces of veal, breaded, with capers and a wine sauce. It is served with a side of pasta. The food is always flavorful, seasoned well and fresh.

This place is innovative, efficient, and delicious! My husband and I always skip the booth or table and go straight for the bar. It definitely paid off this time around. Not only does this place have an amazing bar menu (with amazing prices!) the quality is top notch. Lee and Matt at the bar know exactly what their doing. Not only do their drinks not disappoint, their service is on point. Since I tagged along for my husbands 5 day business trip, (and coming from NYC) this was the best place we found in Orlando! Wouldve never guessed in a mall! Dont let the mall fool you, this is the real deal! Highly recommend the shrimp and eggplant in the pepper sauce, absolutely wonderful.

My wife and I like to sit at the bar and have lunch. Its usually the weekend when there is a wait so the bar is a good quick alternative. The service is good, the servers know how the food is prepared and can make good recommendations. I find the menu to be somewhat limited. I would like to see some veal choices and more chicken dishes. I think this is owned by the same company that owns Bravo. Good reliable choice.
