I ordered a 2 layers spider cake for my sons 2nd birthday paid $49 dollars plus tax. I was so excited because i had tried the cake and hands down one of the best cakes Ive ever had. The customer service was great very nice and helpful dont have any complaints on that aspect but on the actual birthday cake for my 2yr old son is a whole different story. I went today picked up the cake the young lady helping me, opened the top of the box a little because it had a bow so from the top everything looked good. I very carefully place the cake in the back floorboard of my car turn on the a/c and proceed to drive home very carefully. As i drive home i leave the a/c running full blast with it blowing to the floor were the cake is at, mind you i have very cold a/c and i personally was freezing but didnt lower it thinking of the cake. I get home excited to show it to my wife and inlaws when i undo the whole box the cake is bulging frosting on one side and on another there is a split in the frosting from it drooping down. Needless to say my excitement turned into anger as i know i did everything in my power to make sure nothing happend to it and it mustve been something that happend at the store. I now have a disfigured cake for my sons 2nd birthday and dont have any time to go get another very dissatisfied. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone but if you end up buying a cake from here learn from my mistake and make them open the whole box and inspect it before you leave.

I CANT BELIEVE I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW. I WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT TRYING BETTY CAKE FOR MY DAUGHTER BIRTHDAY. I CALL BETTY CAKES ON 01/30/17 @ 10:15 SPOKE WITH A LADY THE WAS SOOO RUDE I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE IT. ALL THE GREAT REVIEW AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBER TELL ME THAT THEY HAVE THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HOW EXCELLENT THE CAKES ARE. I EXPLAIN TO THE LADY WHAT TYPE OF CAKE I WAS LOOKING FOR AND THAT I AM TRAVELING FROM JACKSONVILLE, FL TO GET THE CAKE. I CAN’T COME IN PERSON TO BRING A PICTURE. THAT I AM OK WITH THE ARTIST FREE HANDING IT. BUT GIVE ME SOME TYPE OF PRICE. SHE SAID SHE CAN’T AND CONTINUE TO BE RUDE. I JUST ENED THE CALL. I CALLED BACK A DIFFERENT YOUNG LADY ANSWER THE PHONE WHO WAS VERY NICE AND TOLD ME THAT I WAS TALKING TO THE MANAGER WHEN I CALL THE FIRST TIME ( WOW) I LEFT A MESSAGE FOR THE OWNER BETTY TO CALL ME BACK . SEE IF I GET A RETURN CALL BACK.

Ordered a cake a month ahead of time, designed the cake from two different pictures in their photo albums of previous cakes combined, the day before pick-up they called and told me it couldnt be done, which was very upsetting considering it was made previously before and they told me it in fact could be done and the whole party was themed around this cake. They told me it could not be done because of the weather, what gets me is the weather would still be the same from July to August? I also paid extra to have the cake Lemon flavor, I got a vanilla cake. Super disappointing, will not be going back.

I love the food and the cakes are out of this world. On my way from Tampa to Palatka I stop by for food and if I am not that hungry always cake to go. Even the sandwiches are divine. Those slices of cakes are a religious experience for me. Spider cake is my favorite and happens to be one of the regular cakes they have every day. Sweet tea is also amazing, kinda sad that I have to drive north for good sweet tea.

Very slow at lunch time if you work, I waited 45 minutes for egg salad. The cakes are very good though. I have ordered 3 speciality cakes, 2 came out wonderful, 1 tasted fantastic, but was the exact oppisite of what I specified. I even had a picture, told her what I did not want it to look like/have on it, and all of that was on the cake.

This cake is sooooo delicious! Recently Ive been on a soup kick and Betty Cakes soup is just as delicious as their cake. Their customer service is as good as the food. I really love this sort of hidden gem as its nestled in the back right hand corner of the store, "Your Hearts Desire".

I LOVE the gluten free cupcakes! I tried it with great hesitation and had zero reaction! I have been gluten free since 1987 and have not been able to have cake at all! The bakery came highly recommended. Staff is professional and delivered exactly what I ordered.

Betty Cakes Cafe was a surprise for me. From the outside it looks like just a gift shop. Then you find inside this nice little cafe, with the best cakes ever and they also serve lunch, with a very good customer service. Very chic!

Very helpful and accommodating staff, especially Malone, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. The Italian Creme cake they made was not only beautiful, it was delicious and fresh. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
