My husband and I went to Goodrich Seafood after seeing the restaurant featured on Emerils Florida show. Located on the river, this is an ideal place to get away from it all while watching pelicans, seagulls and dolphins. Chances are youll spot a few fishermen on the nearby docks. The food is always fresh and plentiful. Goodrichs serves breakfast from 7-11:30am daily and offer an Early Bird Special that includes free coffee from 7-9am. Discounted rates apply to the breakfast feature during that time. Other menu items include pancakes, French toast, eggs, and omelets. They have a crab and corn chowder that is off the chain! I use it as dipping sauce for their delicious hush puppies. One thing I like is they offer a half-order of smoked fish dip which is the perfect size appetizer. Along with fresh local seafood, guests can also enjoy items such as chicken wings, chopped steak, chicken breast, and ham steak, as well as a country vegetable plate. Goodrichs is a family-friendly restaurant, but also suitable for date night. Grab a table outside and enjoy the salty air. Just do not feed the birds! Great place, great food, great service, and affordable prices.

I want to say this first. I had a bad experience the second time here with certain things especially the server and I talked to the owner and he was very nice and understanding of the situation that went on and he fixed it right away no questions asked. I come all the way here from altamonte and get a babysitter for my 3 other kids so they will not act up in a resturant but I bring my 8 month old breastfed baby with me so its important that I get what I want when I do have the time to actually go out. Fish is awesome!!!! Hush puppies are dry but I could always tell them so they could fix that. Its no big deal but I do love hush puppies so if they fix that problem I would love that. The fish is worth coming all the way from altamonte for it. Fish chowder is awesome when its earlier in the day because there was a lot more fish in it. But on a Sunday at 4ish its almost gone, the chunks of fish that is. But its a beautiful drive up to oak hill. I love it and people are so friendly there. I just wish our server was nicer and not just at the end when she was giving us the check.

I have been here 20 times or more since it has been under new managment.. The first time I went there I had shrimp and it was so good. Then went with family and friends we had a really good time. The food was geat. The service is the worst in Volusia County.. I went and had lunch Friday 3/26/09 to try it out for lunch. I had the WORST server ever.. Her name was JODI.. She very slow, she leaned over on the table and was less than an inch away from my face I was so disscused by the time I left. I told the owner that I would not come back until he could get decent staff in there. She smelled like she smoked a pack of ciggaretts before she handed my food to me. I will not go in there again until they get fast mulit taskers server that can take care of 8 to 10 tables at a time. I am a server at Wing House a really busy restaurant. I wait on 10-15 tables at a time.

My husband and i and my daughter and her boyfriend went to eat there yesterday may 14 . We had terrible service the server was not kind at all she was very rude as soon as she came over to take our orders ,she never came over to us to see if we needed anything, at one time she came over and she did not give us time to ask her for something she walked away so fast. My daughter had asked her for some sauce she came and brought my daughter the sauce at the end when we were leaving , horrible service will never go there again ,the server had a horrible attitude, and the food was not great at all. I rarely give bad reviews on a restaurant but this one got one bad review from me. Giving an update on my review the name of our server is Rita very rude server so if you go eat there make sure you do not get her .

Loud environment. Food is mediocre. Breading on fried flounder was just bland. Seafood platter was disappointing, greasy, and not worth the price. One of the party had found multiple hairs in her food. Server said manager would come by, manager never showed up. Chowder bar, not so much. It is a couple of crusty pots on a small table with red chowder. I tried a few bites and it just wasnt very good. No one in our party liked it at all. Only thing this place has going for it is the view and the guy singing and playing guitar was pretty good. I have had better seafood at countless number of places in the area for the same or less price. Dont waste your time or money. I have cooked much better at home, so go some place that actually serves good food.

Waitresses are Great and Friendly, Food is served quickly and is made very well. The problem my family and I do have although Is that when you order All you can eat plates [which are quite expensive, upwards of $20 a plate] They DO NOT allow you to bring ANY OF YOUR LEFTOVER FOOD HOME! I mean at those prices it should be NO PROBLEM! Makes no sense to just throw away perfectly cooked leftover food? Other than that its a very cool atmosphere and they always have a smile on their face and lets not forget they have an amazing fish chowder always hot and fresh! Would rate a 5 if they allowed take home boxes on the All you can eat.

We stumbled upon this little gem randomly one day while we were in the area looking for lunch. This place has some of the BEST fried shrimp Ive ever had! The medium split white shrimp are amazing! The portions are generous for the cost, the platters come with two sides and a cup of the fish chowder which is always very yummy! Its one of the places I take family when they come into town to try out. I would definitely recommend making the drive over. The outside deck is beautiful overlooking the water.

This is a great place to eat to sit outside and look across mosquito Lagoon and just enjoy old school Florida seafood nothing fancy here just good fried seafood. Its hugely popular we suggest go in here for lunch during the week in the evenings at can get quite busy and on the weekends there is a long wait its a great place to go fishing at the public dock which is just right beside it and many times you have boaters pulling in with their own catch to clean and have the restaurant cook it for them.

I have just resently discovered this little gem! Food is always good, service is always good and the owners are always friendly. Expect a wait weekends at the "dinner hour". Outside seating is nice on warm days, seeing that they are located right ON the river. Bathrooms are VERY clean, a pet peeve of mine. Its not a fancy place, not fancy food but, fresh good food! Come try it and discover a great little place! Grab a cold one and relax!
