Took 45 minutes to bring out simple breakfast plates for a table of 4 when the place was not crowded. Ham was tougher than rawhide. Grits (how do you screw up grits?) tasted unlike anything I ever had in my 30 years of living in the South - more akin to wallpaper paste. Service was good but probably because they were anxious to kick us out at their 2pm closing time. They say "Best Breakfast in Lake County". Anybody that ever makes claims like this I always found to be horrible. This was the case here.

The food is tasty and the service is friendly. Sometimes there is a wait to get seated, but its worth waiting for. Some of my familys favorites include: waffle, hash browns (ordered "golden"), biscuits and gravy, grits, chicken salad melt sandwich on sourdough bread, philly cheesesteak, soup, and the fried green beans. The iced tea is good too.

Asked for an explanation from the lady at the front as to why our bill was so much, however I didnt ask for you to be rude while doing it. We already had a problem here with a waiter that made my wife feel very uncomfortable. Definitely will not ever be returning. I suggest going somewhere else if your looking for a mediocre meal.

Ordered my food to go since I work down the street. Food was fresh and DELICIOUS!! Only took ten minutes!! Most pizza deliveries or even pick up is 30 min or more and I got my food in ten! Thats top notch in my book and for descent pricing too. Definitely will be eating here/to go again and telling my friends to check them out.

It is our "go to place, and it is also the place that is loved by everyone we know. Whenever we are out or "too tired to cook", we all stop at the HSC. The food is always good and the service is like visiting old friends. Is is definitely the place to go in Mt. Dora. Our only wish is that it was also open for dinner!

Great prices, great service! Food is good too when it isnt swimming in grease. My favorite is the breakfast burrito with bacon and a side of hash browns. Lately the hash browns have been served in a pool of grease so I usually have to soak it up with a bunch of napkins. Otherwise, I do recommend trying it.

Been here a couple of times and I have noticed a trend. The servers arent fond of young people and will give you negligent and rude service. They have full blown conversations with the older patrons while ignoring you. Wonderful food though

Just passing through and decided to stop for breakfast. Very glad we did. Excellent breakfast with a friendly staff. The prices were on point. I live 1 1/2 hours from here but I will make some day trips come here for their grits!

Food was good but very over priced. I loiked up the menu online which had greqt prices on it only to find when i got to the restaurant the prices were double that. Online menu needs to be changed because its false advertisement.

This is our go to breakfast place. Gets crowded quick and wait times can exceed 20 min. sometimes but worth the wait. Staff are friendly and attentive. The food has always been good. Limited parking at times.

very popular place on Saturday and Sunday mornings better get there early. Be sure to order this Southern Benedict its sausage egg on a biscuit with their homemade gravy which is the best Ive ever tasted.

Freindly, fast service as if you knew them! Good SOS, Eggs, hash browns. The fried chicken salad was refreshing with plenty of tomatoes and everything was chopped so I only needed a fork! We will be back!
