I discovered this place 3 years ago, while living across the street. It was a great place to have some very tasty italian food, without having to fight the crowd. I was thinking of driving there for dinner recently, and almost changed my mind after seeing a review here. I did go there for dinner, and the food is still fabulous. I had the seafood medley special, my girlfriend had chicken marsala. Both plates were completely empty when we were finished, but we managed to save room for some strawberry cheesecake. The cheesecake was delicious, as well. I really dont think Porcini gets enough credit. Granted, its a bit hard to find, and you might not even notice it driving by (its inside the Sherry Fronteac hotel- dont ask me where that name came from). The food has always been good when I have gone, the service was prompt, and it did not take long to get our food. I will still drive an hour to get there, when I am in the mood for some good Italian food.

Excelente comida!! Un poco vacío el restaurante pero imagino que es por la ubicación... adentro del hotel sherry frontenac. El linguine mare estaba delicioso y los mariscos muy frescos. The food is really delicious here and the service was great I could recommend this restaurant anytime

Best Italian around! Ive had several different dishes from pasta to a chicken entree and all have been fantastic. Yes, kinda hard to find (actually inside the Sherry Frontenac) and parking sucks, but do yourself a favor and make the effort. It is worth it! Prices a reasonable considering the location and quality of the food.

Passed by this place all week cause its in the Frontenac hotel so we didnt know what to expect for something authentic but glad we did. Had the lobster ravioli, linguine del mare and desserts tiramisu and a real dark chocolate mousse. The service was great and a nice glass a wine to top that. Recommend it to anyone !

Note to self... If there are no recent reviews and the restaurant is pretty empty walk away. Spaghetti sauce was salty. Margarita pizza was regular cheese pizza with fresh chopped basil on top. Calamari left us with an awful fishy taste.

Guy added a 20% tip automatically to a table of 4 and tried to take it back. Restaurant was dead. I GOT FOOD POISONING. Worst $25 Ive ever spent, didnt evem taste authentic at all. I ordered chicken parmigiano and penne with alfredo sauce.

They dont open on time. I came at 12 while their board says open at 11 but they close. I dont know about the food i tried subway cross the street

Good Italian food. Dumplings with spinach and ricotta were delicious, and the quality of the tomato sauce was at par.
