I was really digging this place when it opened up initially. However, the last time I went there they added automatic gratuity to their drinks. As a fellow bartender I can somewhat sympathize with the fact that there are a lot of S**tty tippers and straight up low class people in Miami (a lot of that stemming from people from Latin countries where tipping is not really customary). Unfortunately, my last experience there consisted of a watered rendition of my favorite Anderson drink "Death by Stereo" which I usually love, but not this time. Not only that, but there AC was having issues that night as well, which happens in Miami of course. I havent been back since but will probably give it another chance at some point. Sorry if this mixed review offends some people, but Im just keeping it real. Hope everyone else has a better experience than I did that night. Cheers!

This bar, which took over the space formerly occupied by the beloved Magnum Lounge, has a few themes going on—its part tropical, part 80s, and more than a little kitschy. Themes aside, its owned by a mashup of notable Miami restaurant alums from places like Broken Shaker, Workshop, and Vagabond, so the cocktails are excellent—pick up rum drinks at the tiki shack outside, or 80s-esque cosmos and appletinis inside near the juke box. Food-wise, you can expect an adventurous menu of bar snacks like a Korean vegetable pancake with kale and kimchi, or a burger with aged comte, caramelized onions, and horseradish crème fraich—they also have nacho fries, if thats more your style.

Our waitress was very nice but thats about it. The place is very loud - between the traffic on 79th and the music sound system. I was very chocked to be asked for my credit card when we ordered our drinks since we were seating at a table - its kind of like paying for your meal before youre even served in a restaurant... No light at all which is quite frustrating because you cant even see the check details when its time to close the tab. I was eager to know this place as many people spoke well of it, Im highly disappointed and do not recommend.

Totally recommend this bar! Awesome vibe with music at perfect volume so great for a first date or group gatherings. I can tell its a popular place judging by how crowded it was by 11 on the Saturday that I went. Delicious cocktails that change every three months. Food was also a hit. They made an awesome vegan wrap for me that I cant wait to order again. Theres street parking but also for convenience, valet for only $5.

The place is beautiful, the music is great. They had a jazz group play when I was there. But the service is terrible!!! I went with a large group, there were like 5 servers but no one wanted to help us. They were so rude. There was only one lady that was nice enough to take our order. The food was ok but too expensive. Then to top it all off they messed up everyones bill. I wouldnt go there again.

Probably one of the best cocktail bars in this up and coming neighborhood. Situated in an old piano bar, The Anderson serves great cocktails, offers a wide variety of music, indoor and outdoor seating and a great atmosphere. I particularly liked the genever negroni the bartender served me.

Interesting setup with a dark indoor bar with music, a large outdoor patio with a small bar in a shack in the back. Very odd mix. The drinks are good, service was decent, and the prices were Miami Beach prices. You do have to valet, which isnt ideal. Not sure Id come back.

Its a jazz bar, its a place to Dance awesome music from the 80s and 90s, its a casual restaurant, its a tiki bar with cool crowd, its 3 places in one with a fun and casual ambiance. We love this place , so much fun, best original bar in Miami.

Love this place! I am a local and this is one of my go-to places for happy hour or to chill with my friends. I like the relaxed atmosphere and the great bartenders. The food is also awesome. The chicken sandwich is the best!!!

Cozy secluded spot. Ambient lighting by the bar with amazing drinks. They seem to know all of their customers and treated is very nicely. I didnt try any of the food, but if its half as good as the drinks, youll be thrilled.

Cool gem. Liked the atmosphere. This place has excellent cocktails. Theres a very cool outdoor area. I went there on a Friday night so parking is limited. But theres a good chance youll find a spot to park down the street.

Great bar with two distinct areas. You can stay indoors around the bar area and enjoy the music or hang out by the sand in the tiki bar in the outside area. Either way, great cocktails, great music and great vibes.

Great - went for happy hour and a snack - drinks were perfect and the Japanese hot dog and chicken sandwich were very tasty . The whole vibe is old fashioned cool lounge feel . Big upgrade from Magnum .
