To start off, this place was a huge disappointment, (I cannot speak for the whole group though as some seemed to enjoy it). No one was in the diner when a member of our party reserved a table, "Ten to 12 people are coming, and theyll be thirsty." was told to them. We get there, and there is ONE ice water there. Then people come piling in there and we wait patiently. The kids are drawing and laughing and being kids. 1 table, 2 table and many more are served before us, although we had arrived first. We had to all share menus, as they didnt have enough for us (not to mention they were sticky and drawn on). We wait forever and the waitress (who I have nothing against, very nice) takes our order. As I myself am not a huge pie-eater, I decided to go off on a whim and try a piece of wild berry pie. Nope, they had none. Okay, many stores run out, sweet potato pie was my next choice. ( They also didnt have coconut custard pie and silverware.) They did not have that either so I went with a root beer float . After that we waited about 30 minutes (even though it felt longer) They give us most of our food. They still didnt have their onion rings and 2 to 3 pies. The root beer float (as I cannot be certain) seemed to have freezer burn, as it felt as if there were chunks of ice in the ice cream. I gave up on that, and tried a bit of a friends pie, it tasted like sticky chocolate glue. Soon after the onion rings came ( 4 to 6 huge greasy onion rings that had their breading falling off.) There was no salt on them, and all you could taste was grease. Some water also spilled and there were barely any napkins or staff to help clean it up. Then when paying the check it took a very long time (but there were separate checks). Not great at all.

We recently visited Reececliffs Family Diner last weekend for breakfast. My grandfather (who lived in lakeland back in the 50s) has talked about how great this place was and how good the food was, so we decided to check this out and see for our selves. Reececliffs has been serving Lakeland since 1934 and still to this day the breakfast is still amazing. I had the western omelet with hash browns and my wife had the veggie omelet. Both omelets were a very good size and full of meat and veggies for mine and lots of veggies and cheese for hers. We were very happy and full by the time we left that day. I have to make another trip back there to check out the lunch menu for you. Its nice to have a small diner that we can go to when visiting Lakeland. Place like this are hard to find anymore.

The apple pie was AMAZING..... the rest of the food I did not eat & I took it home to my dog which in turn took him 2 days to eat. I do not know what these 5 stars are all about because this restaurant is far from perfect. It is just ok. So ok, I doubt I will ever go again. Not that this has anything to do with this but I felt like I was the only young one there and I am in my 40s. So I just have to question the age of the 5 stars & their taste buds. Go for the pie only.

Even if someone is selling something they still should not be disrespected! I was lied to and treated like less than a person. Thanks to my treatment thats one less menu to go through when i decide where to eat. If noone there can even talk to me like a human, ill always recommend against it. Judging by some other reviews this just seems to be how they operate. Guess they can afford it.

Good in the past. What I got this morning was cold truckstop food not fit to eat. Nasty. I left most of it. I will not go there again. Ever. I should have walked out without paying. It was bad. You know how a buffet looks after 2 hours ? That is the quality I got. $8 for something not worth more that $1.

Great local diner. Just passing through and my wife had the omelet and i had the waffle special (bacon is better than sausage) coffee and glass of milk came to $22. Good environment, nice staff, we went at 1030am and it was almost empty. Food came quickly and was great.

Breakfast is always really good here, and the lunch and dinner is consistently decent but nothing to write home about. Cant beat the old diner feel, and its been open since 1937ish. The service is always very pleasant and they have a nice patio thats dog friendly also.

We have eaten there a couple of times. This trip there, my husband wanted breakfast, but we walked in right as they were changing over to lunch. They brought him out a breakfast menu anyway. The food was great, service was great, and we will definitely go back.

My new favorite resturant! Feels like dining in grandmas kitchen. Food is amazing and staff is friendly and Hospitable. Southern homestlye at its finest! Weve have breakfast, lunch and dinner at reececliff and we love it all, especially the fried okra!

It was near closing and they did not turn us away. The food was wonderful, I had an old fashion Ruben sandwich with fries. The atmosphere was homey and friendly. It is a neighborhood diner. Booths, table and stoll at the counter. I am coming back.

The food was terrible the service was worse. It took 48 minutes to get food when we did get it it was cold. When we walked in 3 tables where already complaining about there food. Should have taken that as a warning. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE.

Had to take our order twice took over 30 min to get food. It was not very busy in restaurant. Finally got food and it was cold. Ham was dry and rubbery grits were lumpy and biscuit were cold and stale. Not a good experience.

Diner food with some slight quality issues yet to work out. Everything on my breakfast plate arrived cold, during heavy Sunday business. Also, fake butter and fake coffee creamer are standard condiments.

Im not the biggest fan of Reececliffe. The food is adverage, the atmosphere is adverage, and the service is adverage. I do have to give the meatloaf a shout out. Its by far the best thing on the menu.

The service is great and the food is simple but spot on. The menu explains everything and the waitstaff is patient. Prices vs quality and quantity is extremely reasonable. Reececliff has still got it.
