NOT what we expected at all, extremely disappointing! Sausage sandwich was SLICED sausage, 4 slices of pepper and slopped with a gallon of marina sauce on a bun! Disgusting and CHEAP! A sausage sandwich should be an entire piece of Italian sausage, NOT sliced. The eggplant sandwich...OMG! eggplant was sliced so thin and sparsely on the sandwich, again doused in marina sauce. CHEAP...Cheap...Cheap...cutting corners to customers and charging high prices for crap food...No Thank you! The beef sandwich was plenty of beef, only 4 thin slices of pepper and 2 thin slices of onion. When I asked for more pepper...they wanted to charge me extra...WHAT...charge me more money because I want more than 4 tiny slices of pepper...cheap, cutting corners everywhere. STAY AWAY!!!! The place was not packed...and Now I know why, crap food, cheap owners cannot add ingredients to meals that should be added and NOT charged extra for. The waitress was very pleasant, God Bless her to find a new place to work, this place was horrible. Lakeland has many other "so called" Italian restaurants...this is NOT one of them! Eat Somewhere else and save your money!!!!

I went to Ciao Bella on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 10 adults. We started with a couple orders of garlic knots as appetizers ($4/dozen), which were pretty good. Im used to Olive Garden as my Italian restuarant of choice, so I was a little disappointed when I realized meals at Ciao Bella dont come with salad or breadsticks. But, that disappointed was made up for when I got my meal. At the recommendation of a server, my wife and I split a large strumbolli ($13). It was huge and had plenty for us both to fill up and take home leftovers. Everyone in my group was pleased with the food and the service. I dont know if the food was any better than Olive Garden, but it was just as good and more affordable. Ciao Bella is definitely somewhere Id go again. Id give Ciao Bella 3 stars for food and atmosphere, but the value adds a 4th star.

I moved from NY 2 years ago and this is the best Italian I have had in the state of Florida! My husband ordered the Gnocchi with Pesto, which was delightfully swimming in creamy basil goodness. The portion was great he had lunch for the next day! I ordered the Eggplant Parm, which I have to say is the best I have had in my entire life. It was also a good size but I ate the whole thing!! We split a piece of tiramisu for dessert. One thing Ive noticed in Florida is most places ruin the dessert with sundae toppings, but not Ciao Bella, it was a pure tiramisu...old fashioned and delicious. Also, the family who runs the restaurant is from Italy, so take my word it is authentic! Our service was great, and the prices were very reasonable. Now that I am living in Lakeland I dont plan to eat Italian anywhere else!

I do not care who says this place is "good, local Italian" or even "okay", this so-called "Italian" restaurant has slowly declined for the past two years and now i am discontinuing buying their food. If you like extremely skinny pizza, 15" pizza that is said to be 18", poor sauce, hair in your salad (happened 2x to my wife), and overpriced food - go here. Not to mention, the little guy in the back is a jerk to him employees. No way for me. By the way, the only place you can get the pizza Ciao Bella claims to have, is by traveling to NYC . FAILURE!!

My wife and I were disappointed to hear that their 2nd restaurant in Lakeland had closed and despite the terrible review below, decided to try the original restaurant for dinner. We were so pleased that we did - the Bruschetta and crispy wings were lip-smacking starters. My wife followed with cheese ravioli and I had spaghetti with a meatball and sausage - all I can say is WOW! We have been to Italy many times and the food and service at Ciao Bella is as good and friendly as we have ever had. Geoff and Pam

Great food when they get the order right. Order and get charged for a 3 topping calzone to go, get home only to discover its a one topping. So disappointed. I just had surgery and so I had someone else pick the order up for me. The only recourse I was given was to drive out and pick up the correct order. I wasnt going to make my friend do that. Im hoping whoever got my order enjoyed it. Unfortunate.

Nothing special about this place. Olive Garden and Palace Pizza are the places to eat in N. Lakeland. Ciao Bella phone number to the north and south locations on New Years Day went to a fax sounding machine. So we had no idea if they were open or not. Plus the servers did not seem very professional when I was there twice. Again it is average so the food is okay but the atmosphere is lacking. Thanks

Authentic Italian food and flavors and great pizza. The portions are great and flavors amazing. Homemade white chocolate cheesecake dessert is to die for good. Love that it is a family run business that we are supporting. We have never had a bad meal here. You cant go wrong.

This is REAL pizza ...one of the best in Lakeland (second to Palace in my opinion). Also a plus that the owner makes authentic cannolis as a dessert option. The staff is friendly. As for their pasta dishes could use more flavor but still good.

I had pizza. The crust is really light and crunchy and the cheese is perfect. The staff is helpful but not hovering. Ive been here several times and my only complaint is that they didnt have fresh mushrooms for my pizza once.

Very good food, and great service. Enjoyed the Lobster Ravioli raved about by many others. Ciao Bella pizza like no other! Most of our local Italian faves are closed on Sunday. Ciao Bella made it worth the 30 minute drive!

I went here the other day with my friend and I must say the atmosphere was modest yet gave a great sense of a family restaurant. I had the margarita pizza and it was amazing. Best pizza i have had since moving to Lakeland.
