One would think if you ordered food on a Tuesday night that it would be freshly made.....WRONG! I dont even know where to start....the won tons were rubbery and if left out of the flavorless broth (no pork or onions), they turned brown and hard. The "special" lo mein had bad shrimp in it (really hoping we dont get sick), the fried rice was so dried out you couldnt eat it without mixing something in it. Additionally, they gave us a total of 6 chow mein noodles and NO fortune cookies. All that being said, this was the first time Ive ordered food from this place and I will NEVER order again, and I certainly would NOT recommend this "restaurant". I would post pictures but the food all went either down the disposal or in the trash outside

Clean restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. My pork lo mein dinner special ($7.95) was delicious and a real value in that it was enough for two meals. Plenty of large pieces of roast pork and tasty fried rice. Egg roll was yummy too. The interior of the restaurant has four tables, each seating four people. A detailed menu board above the order counter is bright and enticing. A wall size mural of the Shanghai skyline brightens the interior wall. While parking might be less than ideal due to the location, it does add a suggestion of authenticity for a real New York style Chinese take-out restaurant.

I think the food at Shanghai resturant is excellent with regard to Chinese take out. Ive eaten at several similar resturants and bar none their food/flavor combinations are awesome. The service however is something left to be desired. Whoever it is that answer the phone (woman) is HORRIBLE at customer service. I imagine she must be an owner or partner. If you can get past that, its worth the experience. I dread speaking with her but happy when I get my food!

You wont be disappointed. Great food at a reasonable price with friendly and accomodating staff! A must for lunch or a quick call-in take out family meal. Tough to find a great NY style chinese restaurant in Central Florida but now we have one. Great food and portions! Try the Singapore Chow Mei Fun...awesome. This comes from someone with a very discriminating taste for my NY style chinese food, having lived in NY and throughout Asia.

The food is good but the lady that answers the phone doesnt speak English well, is very grumpy and impatient. The young man who answer sometimes is much easier to order from. The food is usually good as long a you get the order in right. If you order at lunch the price is even better and the portions are almost the same.

Ive been coming here over a year now, and Ive never had a bad experience. The service is always quick, and the staff is very friendly! Theyre accommodating to dietary needs, too, which can be difficult to find as a vegan! Overall, good food with big portions and low prices.

The Mongolian Beef was very good but I expected it to be spicier being it was listed on the menu in red as "hot". I would get it again and would suggest they spice it up a bit more. The food came out fast and the hostess was very pleasant. Overall, a good experience.

So decided to walk from my apartment, visit the local merchant and after two different trips, I can say the food was good, and the service is much improved from first trip there. Been several times, and happy with the food and service each time!

Same prebreaded frozen chicken crap they have at all of these Chinese restaurants around here.. I dont know why its so hard to find decent Chinese in central fl... Food was barely edible. Wont be going back.

The dumplings were a hit with my two boys. The noodles were good. Chicken broccoli portion was good with lots of chicken in it. Would definitely go back and try other dishes.

Nice lunch place and friendly service. We enjoyed it very much. You can substitute rice for extra vegetable. Good portions, they are very generous. We will eat here again!

For good Chinese takeout fast, you cant beat it. Dining area inside is sufficient if you prefer chopsticks (as I do), otherwise theres just plasticware.
