The food is amazing if you know what to get. This is probably the healthiest and best restaurant in Murfreesboro right now. To get a great meal, you must understand that the family running the place are Thai. They cook authentic Thai dishes with authentic and good quality ingredients in a way that is good enough to serve to their own family members. In fact, the owner mentioned that it is the same food that his family eats every day. He also mentioned they filter the water to a high level that is actually drinkable which is saying a lot for Murfreesboro water. I really appreciated this. I hate tasting chlorine. Back to the food. The Thai dishes are amazing there. Ask about the daily specialties and you will generally find something unique and delicious. You can mix and match as well. If you like a fish they have as a specialty and you like curry, ask them to put the curry over the fish... Delicious. As to the sushi and Chinese dishes, I have no idea. I dont know why you would order something Chinese or faux Japanese when you have really amazing and authentic Thai food available. My wife is Japanese so I know what good Japanese food is like, and their sashimi fish and techniques look ok, but neither of us were really interested in trying Lemongrass version of it. Stick with the Thai dishes and you will do awesome here. EDIT: She now eats the chirashi every time and loves it. One note I should make; If you like real Thai level spices, you will have to ask and make it clear that you dont want their "5 out of 5" spice level according to southern American terms. "5 out of 5" spice level basically just warmed up my mouth. Of course it was burning my wifes face off, but my point stands. If you know what real Thai level spice is and you want it, then you need to make it clear to them that you dont want American level spices. Then be prepared for the fire. Also, yummy sticky rice. MMM Im going back now.

I gave the 5 stars awhile ago but never left a review. I dont live in Murfreesboro, TN anymore...been gone for awhile...while I dont leave a lot of positive reviews (which I need to learn to do) I need to bring to everyones attention how great this place really is. We probably craved sushi a couple times a month and this was ALWAYS our go to place. We did try other places but they never compared to Lemongrass, so thats why we always came back. The waitresses were always great. Restaurant was always clean. Food was always delicious. The Spicy Tuna Roll and California Roll were always my favorite, they even made special rolls for us. Fish was always fresh and delicious. Never got sick, which is what would happen at other places. Hubby always got the Dragon Roll, Crunchy Shrimp Roll, Crunchy Crab Roll and a Crunchy California Roll, and the Tempura Bento Box. Of course not all at the same time but those were our usuals. Place may be a bit pricey but well worth it. We did order out once and they did mess our order up and forgot to put one of our rolls in the bag and we had already drove home, but we called them and they said sorry and asked us if we could come back and they would make us a fresh roll. They were always super nice. Glad they expanded for more seating too. I highly recommend this place for those who want to try truly good sushi and Thai food.

Decent sushi, interesting take on thai-japanese fusion flavors. I havent tried their Thai dishes yet. One of the few places that offers bubble tea that isnt frozen (I dont get the frozen thing). Recommend the Bangkok Roll for an appetizer - one of my friends declare it to be the perfect hangover dish. Lemongrasss selling point is that they offer decent-priced creative sushi, but in terms of quality, its neither better or worse than their competition. Theyre the perfect budget sushi place, as their rolls are pretty big for their price, and just one will fill you up. They recently expanded, which helped enormously with their previously crowded interior - their tables were too small to deal with the huge sushi plates, and accidents happened sometimes. Overall, a decent place for decent sushi.

Every dish my family has tried has been great. My young children even love it. The food is awesome and they give you big portions--enough to have for lunch the next day. The spring rolls are about twice as big as some other Thai places around town. The service is quite special, too. They treat us like royalty. The menu is extensive. There is something for everyone. We just wish we lived closer to it! Our favorite dishes are Chicken in Peanut Sauce, Combination Fried Rice, and Jungle Curry. If you have a favorite dish at another Asian restaurant, you should try the same at Lemongrass and see if you dont thing they blow the socks off the competition. Dont be alarmed if there isnt a crowd. They are tucked away in a location where people just havent discovered them yet.

I have been to many Thai restaurants in different parts of the world. Ive even had Thai food in Thailand many times at local places as well as at nice restaurants. I dare say that this is the best Thai food restaurant I have ever been to, unexpectedly as it might seem to find it here in Murfreesboro, TN, USA. As for the sushi, I am no connoisseur, but they also serve the best sushi I have ever tasted. The service isnt exceptional but I dont expect a family owned business serving delicious, authentic Thai food at a low price to be service minded in the American sense. They are not the fastest, but they are very friendly. Healthy, fresh and absolutely delicious.

Not sure what the other reviewers were eating but I eat Thai and sushi at least once per week at various places across Middle Tennessee and this is some of the worst Ive had in a while. Ingredients were not fresh and chicken in Pad Thai even had a bad smell to it. I never have meals returned to kitchen but this was so bad, I did. The staff was friendly and gladly replace my meal with sushi. Sadly the sushi was not much better, ingredients again seem like they were not very fresh and the sushi overall, was just not very good. Nice waitresses but I would definitely not recommend this place over any of the other Thai or sushi alternatives in the area.

Came in on my off day today, my first in 6 weeks. Dressed in my casual house clothes hair a little messy I didnt care because I planned to be in and out just grabbing something to go like Ive done here many times. I guess the waitstaff and host cared about my shorts, tshirt, and hair because I was definitely treated as if I didnt matter. I waited 15 mins and no one tried to take my order, offered me water, asked if I needed help with the menu, NOTHING! So I took my money money and the tip I leave on all to go orders and left. The host and waitstaff are absolute trash wont be back☺️ In the parking lot googling other to go places now.
