Well its been about 6 months since I last popped in to Burger 21 and it seems that not a lot has changed other than ownership. There was a brief period in late summer, after our first visit where the restaurant was closed. We decided to give it another shot and see if we liked it any better than our first go around. Now the first time wasnt bad, it was pretty tasty just not knock you over the head outstanding. Sadly that hasnt changed either, We both decided to get burgers this time. Me, the Turkey/cranberry featured special and my dining companion the Bacon Cheesy. The Turkey burger special was topped with goat cheese, cranberry chutney and honey mustard together with typical burger veggies. The Bacon Cheesy was slathered with mayo and mustard in addition to the lettuce and tomato. The turkey burger was tasty although a little strange. It looked like a preformed, breaded turkey patty. I dont think it was but it sure looked like it. It had flavor compliments of the toppings but the burger patty itself was kind of dry and lifeless. It actually resembled a patty of fried tuna salad (not that I would fry tuna salad .... come to think of it..hmm). The one thing the burger has in abundance was honey mustard, lots and lots of thin, drippy honey mustard. the bacon cheese burger had similar issues. When ordered the burger was requested to be "medium" however, much like my yardbird, it was pretty far to the south side of dead. Rather than having a honey mustard explosion it was a slathering of mayo and mustard. Some people like a burger and some people like mustard garnished with cow I guess. So how was it? This is one of those reviews that is a little hard to write. It wasnt bad, We enjoyed the burgers. Was it worth the cost? All told two burgers, fries and a couple of sodas came it at a hefty $29. Thats a lot of dough for a pair counter service burgers. The question was asked would I rather come to Burger 21 or the Freakishly jammin place over on Powerline and McNab? Honestly, I cant say that anything really draws me here. Its close to my house but maybe Id rather go on adventure. Burger 21 ultimately comes in at more like a Burger 15 1/2

Went there the other day for the second time. The girl at the counter made a complete mess of the order, fries never came until the burger was gone, ruining the experience. We repeated the order to her five times, it was so easy, two cheeseburgers and one fry and one soda. Owner arrived in GIANT pickup truck (a Freightliner) covered in Trump stickers and waltzed in during this, with only three other customers. As I was getting my money back for the fries, he comes up and shoves some free french fry coupons in my hand. He watched it all unfold, yet his only help was the coupons. I handed them back. Too many good burger places in Fort Lauderdale to fill this guys pockets. The burgers are only average and with Shulas on 17th Street Causeway and Burger Fi all over, why take a chance theyll screw up the order?

This isn’t your ultimate gourmet burger in Ft. Lauderdale. But it’s quite a bit tastier than say Five Guys or In-N-Out. The prices are reasonable, around $8 up to $12 for the OMG burger. Indulge in their daily special and don’t go overboard with options and you won’t spend much more than a fast food joint. The burgers are a bit on the small size at 1/3 pounds. But it’s fresh and delicious. In addition, there is a sauce and topping bars that is great for dipping your sweet potato fries. The Chipolte and Thai catsup were excellent. You order at the counter but your order is delivered to your table. I don’t think a tip is expected but I left a buck. I believe the consensus opinion is correct. This is a 4 out of 5.

Excellent range of burgers, love the option of a proper gluten-free bun, I ordered the OMG and it was REALLY loaded! Fries were decent and loved the array of sauces, with the gluten-free options being clearly labelled. For a small group of difficult customers - as well as my gluten intolerance, my vegetarian travel buddy enjoyed his black bean burger and the guy who is allergic to potatoes was very happy with the sweet potato fries! Its rare to find somewhere who can cover our needs so conclusively :-) Only thing I can fault is the metal trays they serve up on, they dont seem to keep the burger or the fries warm for long enough :-/

One of the best counter service burger joints in the Fort Lauderdale area! I liked them better than SmashBurger and BurgerFi, which were my go-to places the last year or so. On par with Five Guys for quality of food, but much less crowded and wider selection of options for their food and desserts. My wife and I first got a taste of Burger 21 up in Orlando (near I-Drive somewhere), and we were so happy to hear that they opened a new location down by us in Fort Lauderdale - go and give them a try, the burgers are awesome!

Me and my partner have been going here for about a year now. The place closed down and reopened under new owners, and Ill tell you the new owners are very hands on. The staff is amazing and the food is delicious. If you are like me and dont like the bun ask for a lettuce bun, it makes the buger taste even better. Now Im craving a monterrey chicken and my regular root-beer float! Mmmm

It had the veggie burger and my dinner date had the chicken sandwich. My burger was a hockey puck and tasted horrible. My dinner dates chicken was rubbery and he was not happy with it. Was there once before it closed down and it was bad. Thought they would have fixed the problems when they were shut down but did not. Problem is that they should have remained shut down for good.

Food is OK, cold fires and a rude manager when I told the server to ask for fresh fries she went to the back and ask for fresh fries and got yelled at. I then heard her say stank ass about the staff in the back. Yuck I am guessing he was farting. The server was nice but the manager is nasty he brought the new fries out and rudely said are these hot enough for you.

Overpriced for what it offers. Just paid $14 for an okay buffalo chicken burger and medium sized strawberry shake. When the server brought out my order without fries, I learned that you have to order them seperate. So, for my first time at the place, I need to bring my glasses and read the fine print on the menu to get fries. I feel duped.

We had a terrible 1st experience but have it another chance... No third chance! Got our order wrong AGAIN!... Fries were cold... Only saving grace was the great girl who took our order at the register and apologized for our bad first experience even though she had nothing to be sorry for...
