First off let me say that if a restaurant forces you to use valet parking, then the parking availability usually is very difficult to obtain, but not here. When you pull in to the right they had maybe 15 parking spots (all full) and 10 handicap spots (all empty) and to the left was valet parking. The valet parking could hold maybe 50 to 100 cars. What the heck it was mostly empty and yet with no regular parking available I was forced to use valet that wasnt even necessary for this dumpy restaurant. This is the most UN-Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. The menu didnt even have tacos de carne asada. I said something to the waitress and she said they did. I told her its not on the menu and she said its new and not on menu. I ordered it and it was disgusting. Who puts feta cheese on tacos de carne asada? The meat was cut way to big so it was very chewy. YUCK! The meal came with rice and refried beans. The beans had no flavor and the rice tasted very old and bland. The tortilla chips were fried in old oil and tasted very greasy and bitter. The salsa that came with the chips had no flavor. They also provided one cup of spicy salsa which was OLD. My daughter had chicken fajitas. Fajita meat should be grilled whole then cut into strips and mixed with peppers and onions, but not this restaurant! They cut the meat into huge chunks and cook it mixed with the onions and peppers. You cant easily put huge chunks of meat into tortillas. My daughter loves gaucomole and this gaucomole was so nasty that she wouldnt even eat it. My husband had a burrito with rice and beans. He said the burrito was barely edible and he hated the rice and beans too. He ended up with severe diarhea about 5 hours after eating. This restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, I would never recommend it.

It was an early afternoon one weekend, and we were craving some Mexican food. We decided to try out La Bamba. The place is always packed when we drive by, so there seems to be a high demand at this location. We get there right when they open, so the parking lot had plenty of open spaces. The restaurant was nearly empty but filled up quickly as we ordered and ate. I decided on the cheese enchiladas. I had them trade out the beans for plantains. The plantains were amazing. That was probably one of my best decisions of the week. ...just kidding! I was happy with the service and the food. A few weeks go by, and we decided to get takeout here on a weeknight. It was around 7 p.m. or so and the place was packed like always. Fortunately, we called ahead, and they have a small area to park for pick up only. Otherwise, I would never bother dealing with that parking lot. My only gripe was ordering over the phone. The girl took my order, and she was a little short with me and hung up as soon as she had the opportunity. It was just very abrupt. I get if you are busy, but I took like 30 secs to tell you what I wanted. A little more respect would have been nice for someone who already knew what they wanted. Other than that, the food is great, and they have plenty of vegetarian options. Ill definitely come back and hope that girl who takes the phone orders has better, happier days.

Everything about this place is great. They have a very friendly and welcoming staff. Not one of them looked upset to be at work. Most of the staff is bilingual so you dont need to speak spanish to get AMAZING spanish food. Ive only been here twice both times on Monday during all day 2.50 big house Margaritas. You only need one otherwise you might need a DD. Ive have had there chicken mojo, fried pork chunks(as app not meal), and last time their Wild Grand taco bowl thing. They have smashed fried plantains that are FRESH not that pre frozen crap. They do simple food but do not cut corners EVERYTHING is made from scratch and you really can taste the difference. But the price is very low. Me and my girlfriend had 3magaritas and two meals and it was 46$ with a 10$ tip. This is the first review Ive ever done but this place deserves it. As long as I live in Florida I will eat here. Its better then your mommas house.

Im from Los Angeles and let me just start out by saying this place would FAIL in L.A.! This was the most disgusting "mexican" food I have ever eaten! I guess the people of Florida are sorely mistaken when it comes to real Mexican food because this place was plane nasty! I got a very expensive plate. Ordering was absolutely ridiculousness! Our waitress was so rude, maybe it was because I had two children who knows. One my overly priced shrimp meal was served I began eating this and it was full of sand! They had not cleaned the fish properly! 30 minutes later the waitress deiced to come back, by then I was no longer hungry and just wanted to leave. These cooks need to take a lesson on how to cute authentic Mexican food! The owner laughed in my face when I nicely complained about my food and that was the icing on the cake! Never again will I eat here!! Gross food Wheres the real Mexican food at!?

La Bamba s as I remember, had both good food and expectable service. Perhaps it was growth, popularity, or cutting costs and keeping prices low, this is not the same restaurant it once was. Honestly, it might be me, or being particular when It comes to Mexican Food or maybe its the fusion of Mexican food and some "Spanish" food of unknown origin. Bottom line, it does still seem to be popular with locals that perhaps do or more likely know what good Mexican food is or its preparation, very close to large retirement communities and cultures unfamiliar fare. On Friday, Saturday nights the parking lots remain full, the service continues as erratic, receiving ones appetizers and entrees often simultaneously, god help you if that waiter gets away without asking, "Is there anything else I can get you", then you might just be out of luck in getting anything other than the bill.

The food was good, but not what expected. We parked our car in the lot, and then had an attendant, come get us and tell is its valet only. We said we didnt want valet and were already parked. They took our keys anyways and we walked to the restaurant. The inside needs a bit of TLC, looks like an upscale restaurant outside, but the furniture is very basic and old. The food was good like I mentioned, and prices were standard. The service was not bad either. I would maybe go again, but I doubt it, especially after the parking situation. I believe only upscale restaurants that dont have their own parking lot should valet, and not make it mandatory to the customer. They only have a place for about 6 cars that were not in the valet section.

The waiter was slow and he mumbled as he talked, we couldnt understand what he was saying. After a long wait, he brought out our chicken fajitas which was burnt. The chicken didnt have a taste and neither did the peppers that were mixed with the chicken. We asked for more lettuce, cheese, etc. to eat in the fajitas but they were reluctant in giving us anymore. We ordered chicken tenders and all we got were two tenders and hardly any French fries. Waiter rarely refilled our drinks and overall, nothing tasted good. After a certain time in the day, they force you to do valet as parking is very limited. You cannot park without paying for valet. Plus, it was expensive compared to other Mexican restaurants in South Florida. We wont be coming back.
