Upon moving to the area, we began our search for a good Chinese restaurant. After trying multiple places, we finally found Bamboo Wok! Thank goodness. Coming from up north, this restaurant was the first place we ate at that had ny/nj quality Chinese food. My husband, who is very fussy over his Chinese food, was very happy with his meal - from egg roll to wonton soup to fried rice to sesame chicken. Plenty of chicken, wontons stuffed, needed a little more pork in the rice but all in all, the portion was great & the food was tasty. Our whole family enjoyed their meals - even the young kids. Not one complaint. The staff is friendly & accommodating. We have finally found our go-to Chinese restaurant. Id have given 4 1/2 stars just because they dont deliver. Delivery would make our lives a little easier... BUT Bamboo Wok is still worth the drive for better Chinese food. Vacationers - Bamboo Wok is your best choice for Chinese food in this area. Believe me.

Oct 12 - Couldnt get through to make telephone order as always engaged! Drove down, ordered told 15 mins, phone orders permanently ringing in whilst ordering - speaks for itself!. Filled up with gas across car park, went back and ready within 5 mins. Food was excellent, will use again before holiday end. Note, this is more a take away than restaurant, has some seating to eat in, but more fast food type than evening restaurant type. Chose this after reading other buffet type reviews in area, not disappointed. Stayed at Bahama bay resort, Chinese is 5 mins away on 27 (right out of bahama bay, left on 27, complex on right prior/at next traffic lights).

This was my first visit to Bamboo Wok and I just ordered a bunch of take out. We got some egg fried rice, shrimp fried rice, steamed dumplings, fried dumplings, beef teriyaki, eggrolls, sweet and sour chicken and crab rangoon. Everything was delicious. I am originally from the northeast so I know good Chinese food. I have been living in Florida for 20 years and had yet to find any Chinese restaurant that was as delicious as where I am from. This place gets an A+! Well done and look forward to coming again! Thank you for a delicious supper!

I have been going here for almost ten years. Staff is fantastic and friendly. Orders are always made right and quickly. Restrooms are clean and they recently remodeled the entire building. food is excellent and they are always willing to accommodate personal tastes. They have excellent fried and white rice. Sweet and sour chicken is also exceptional. Egg rolls are a must add to any meal. i would recommend anyone who enjoy new york style chinese give this place a shot. A++

I have lived in Davenport on and off for over six years now and Bamboo Wok is hands down the best local Chinese Restaurant in a ten mile radius. Much better than some of the Chinese Restaurants down 192 (though Shanghai in the Summer Bay plaza is a close, but distinct second). The Krab Ragoons and the General Tso are my favorite; the portions are enormous for the special combination plates for dinner. I will always come here, and highly recommend it.

I ordered hunan beef and beef with vegetables. They gave me the same dish just adding chili sauce to one. The kung pao chicken have a top layer of whole peanuts instead of a cooked dish. We asked if we could substitute vegetable fried rice for the white and we were told no. When we opened the food there was plain fried rice in one of the containers. So we had a mediocre over priced meal. This place used to be good and accurate not anymore.

We order their General Tsos and Orange Chicken nearly every week with extra vegetables and it is always excellent. Their steamed white rice is among the best Ive had anywhere. Often when we go to upscale sushi restaurants I will say "their rice is good, but its not Bamboo Wok". I also like the fact that they accept tips on credit card for their employees, this shows a level of respect for their employees and it is greatly appreciated.

Fairly poor food overall. I ordered a delivery and was told it would be half an hour, but in fact, it took one hour. The crispy duck was anything but crispy, the pancakes were cold and the chicken with almonds had plenty of almonds, but not much chicken! And just to top it off, the prawn crackers felt like theyd been sitting out all night. So overall, it was fairly poor and I certainly wont be recommending nor ordering from there again.

Food was Ok. Egg rolls are really more like spring rolls. They got our order wrong. Ordered 6 wonton soups and received 1. When I drove back she shows me the receipt which was written in Chinese. Shows me her version of 1 wonton soup ordered. Looks like chicken scratch to me. Bottom line, make sure your order is understood and check your bag before you leave.

Why every time food tastes different for same dish such as orange chicken had today didnt even taste the orange Panda Express is better at least its about the same every time. Also notice place is getting dirty sticky tables and chairs and crud on floor, also guy that doesnt understand English that is at register a lot is sometimes usually rude.

One of the worst I have ever been to. The food was terrible. I order beef black bean sauce, special fryed rice and special curry with chips and could only eat the chips and a small amount of curry and rice as the beef didnt taste like beef it was under cooked what ever it was. Wouldent recamend at all

Nothing fancy but good food. We ordered three different dishes from the lunch menu. Had to wait approx 10 minutes for it to get ready. We were not asked if we wanted soft drinks which should be included in the lunch price instead we had to ask for it.

Completely hopeless. They got the whole order wrong and gave me somebody elses. Then I asked them to remake it and they told me to pick it up. They got it wrong again. I used to come here every week but this is the 3rd time. Never again.

we have tried: pork fried rice, sweet and sour pork & chicken, orange chicken, kongpao chicken, wonton soup and all were very good! the only thing we didnt like were the crispy noodles they include in meals. They are NOT crispy.

I love this place! They have great New York Style Chinese food. They are pretty fast with orders. They are very popular by the locals and they can get busy during a dinner rush and thats ok because its worth it.

This is the best Chinese food that we have found in central Florida. Its the only place we go for Chinese food. I highly recommend this place! The portions are really big and the food always tastes fresh.

Food is adequate, not particularly well cooked or well seasoned. However, it is almost always busy crowded noisy because it is located smack in the middle of several vacation home neighborhoods.
