I saw this restaurant and was struck by the beauty and ambience of the photos I saw on open table, so I decided to make a reservation for my dear friends birthday, especially since they promote 50% off on select wines for Tuesday night. When I called to reconfirm my reservation, I told The host my reservation time, and her response was the reason I decided to cancel my reservation. The reservation was made at 9:30 pm 30 minutes before closing, mainly because we were driving north an hour away to get there in regards of coming early. I was told to come early as to not upset the waiters, who might be in an urge to leave, and was told to expect an empty restaurant if I wanted to come at that time. In all my years of working in a restaurant, and enjoying new restaurant experiences, this attitude was a huge turn off and unfortunately I have no desire to experience what this restaurant had to offer . Please encourage your staff to change their attitude when it comes to guest satisfaction and Customer Service via telephone. Ive never spoken with a host who turned away or discouraged potential service because a reservation time, that was not to their satisfaction. Very disappointing. -Britney

Went here for cg restaurant week and really enjoyed it! The ambiance is pretty and relaxing. We had the ceviche and conch fritters for apps. The conch fritters had a nice texture but couldve used more flavor (like a dust of roast cumin powder or jalepeno). The ceviche was delicious. I had the jerk cornish hen for the entree and it was deliciously soft. It wasnt quite as spicy as jerk chicken usually is, but it had a nice light flavor. We had the apple tart and chocolate bread pudding for dessert, and both were simple, but delicious!

The service was subpar, slow and not very helpful with menu. The serving sizes were ridiculously small. I ordered what I thought was a churrasco steak, and I received 5 medallion pieces of steak, very disappointing considering the price. My wife ordered the salmon, as she always does, and has never been served such a small piece anywhere, half of a normal serving. No value and way over priced. Only gave 1 stars for ambiance which was nice. Would not go again.

This is my second time here and once again the food was amazing. My warm spinach salad had just the amount dressing and a nice addition of warm apples wrapped in bacon. My Mahi Mahi was cooked to perfection with just the right balance of flavors. My favorite, the bread pudding, was amazing and cooked perfectly. Our server went above and beyond and knew the menu inside and out. Def would go back again and again.

I just cant believe how amazing this restaurant is. Despite being perpetually booked in advance, if you can manage a reservation for a special occasion, youll walk away smiling. Service and atmosphere are exceptionally classy. The food is always impressively prepared and adorned with exotic flavors. Their chef (Cindy Hudson) is inordinately talented. An unequivocal dining experience in Coral Gables.

Went here with a group of friends and it was the first time I was trying out this restaurant. Got myself a Sake Sangria, since it was listed as signature drink but nonetheless, it was very disappointing. But for the main course, I got a West Indian Cornish game hen and it was good. The food was alright, never lived up to what I expected going by the reviews and not to forget, it was very pricey.

Theyve been there for more than a decade, and there are still fresh and new. I wish Cindy was there more often, because she is as warm and beautiful as her food. And I wish Joel can be are waiter when we have bigger parties. Ive tried, he wont. And he is a hunk too, but keeps reminding me that hes happily married though. Best food in all of Coral Gables by far..............

When you go out to a restaurant youre expecting a flavorful and special food; my wife and i ordered a lobster risotto unfortunately it doesnt taste as lobster, topping shrimp as garnish it didnt even mention it on the menu and rice was over cooked. We hope the chef could read this as soon as possible.

I was sold this restaurant by a fellow Jamaican. I am sorry to report, any authentic Jamaican cannot possibly walk away form this restaurant with true cultural Jamaican experience after eating the West Indian Cornish Hen. This was nothing more than tasteless white baked chicken at a high price.

Food was delicious and the service was as it should be. Service was there when they had to be and not there when they werent needed. I dont like being overly served. I like to have uninterrupted conversations and out servers did a great job at attending to us at the right moments.

First time we have been here. My wife has been wanting to come here for awhile so we drove down from Broward and it was fantastic. Drinks, appetizers, main dishes, atmosphere and wait staff all were great. A must do for a native and a great surprise for a visitor.

The food was delicious! I ordered from the restaurant of the week menu and wow, its a bang for your buck! 3 course meal for just $25! Everything we ordered was excellent and the service was stellar! My husband and I will be coming back!!!

Hudson is a chef (not a cook) creating Caribbean inspired masterpieces unique to her restaurant. The wait staff are professional and quite knowledgeable about the menu and its ingredients. The ambience is serene. One of Miamis best.

Fabulous consistent Caribbean food. Great chef who cares. Tuna is great and the hog snapper is fabulous. Great drinks and very professional staff. Expensive but worth it.

Really excellent palm salad & rum cake. Good atmosphere and location. Apparently on Tuesdays, the whole wine menu is half price. I hope to come back on a Tuesday lol.
