My girlfriend and I visited your restaurant last night around 7:30pm, The place was jumping and there was a great vibe in the air. Our server was named Josh and when he greeted us it seemed that a nice dinner date was beginning. Well.... Let me tell you about Josh, right off the bat we order our drinks and an order of coconut shrimp for an appetizer. Drinks came and my girl had asked for lemons for her drink and asked again since he forgot to bring em. Ten minutes later he comes to take our order, we order and ask for lemons again, finally we get lemons (no biggie, busy restaurant and all). Ten more minutes go by and Josh brings out condiments I mention that I hope the shrimp comes out soon, he smiles and walks away. Couple minutes later he pops up and says "what were you saying about shrimp?" And I say "coconut shrimp, I ordered then with our drinks" his eyes get wide and he says he forgot and runs to the back returning a few minutes later saying "I pulled some strings and got you these" laying the room temperature shrimp on our table. Giving him the benefit of the doubt we eat the shrimp happy to finally have something to eat. So our food comes, he takes it to the wrong table handing out our food to strangers and as they handle our plates they realize that its not what they order. Josh apologizes and picks our food up and brings it to us... My order is wrong.... He takes mine back and we sit shocked, my girl realizes we have no silverware so we ask a wonderful nearby server who gets our silverware immediately and is very pleasant. Josh returns with my cold food and I go to talk to a manager. He tells me hell take care of it then proceeds to avoid me the rest of my visit. I eat my food fast, ready to get the heck out of this circus act, and get my check. Fifty bucks for two meals that were wrong, handled by strangers a table over, and cold. I look for said manager and he takes off to the back the second we lock eyes. I pay my full bill and walk out of the restaurant vowing to never come back. Joshs incompetence was on a whole other level and the thing about it is he just didnt care... If he would have been in the weeds and really busy I could and would understand but this guy just did not care and thats what got to me. Im local as well, not a tourist and we go out every week to eat. Will not be eating there again and will tell everyone we know about the terrible service and awful meals at Palm Pavilion.

So here is how everything went down... For my 21st birthday I took a plane trip back home to Tampa to see my family. One of the plans was to go to the Palm Pavilion. Our waitress started by slurring her words and not being able to carry to drinks to our table so they ended up going on some of our laps. Upon watching her a bit more out of straight concern for her well being, she continued to run into poles around the restaurant and having a very hard time achieving simple tasks. By no means was I upset with her. The only feelings I felt were worry. She was in no shape to be waitressing at that moment and she quite honestly kept running into the poles throughout the restaurant. I spotted a manager. This managers name was Dan. Not ever have I met someone quite like Dan before. I wish I could tell you that I told him I was concerned for our waitress, was she okay, and him let me know he would check on her. Instead I told Dan "Is our waitress okay? I am concerned a bit for her." Dans response : "I just got here at 4. I dont have time for this." He then proceeded to walk away glaring at my family and I. THEN, our waitress came up to our table and said "my manager said we have a problem. Is there something that I did wrong to you?" Upon leaving our waitress be and letting her know we just would like our food, I continued to receive glares from good-ol Dan. After feeling uncomfortable I got up again and walked straight towards him to let him know that I too have worked in the restaurant industry and I understand that it is tough. But this is no way to treat a customer. He saw me coming and quite literally HID in the kitchen. Give it about 15 more minutes and my father found him and let him know that we were in disbelief by how we were treated. Dans response, you may ask? You know what sir, I am DONE with this. Where did he storm off too? Oh, yes.....the kitchen. We left after having our order screwed up big time. Palm Pavilion, I am in total disbelief by how we were treated. I have a good amount of people I know in the Clearwater area and you can bet I will be letting all of them know about this experience.

I have been coming to your restaraunt for over 15 years, but never was treated so rudely as we were treated tonight. We had friends visiting from Germany and there were 10 of us, and we were ordering some appetizers, and yes mostly drinks, but 10 of us ordering....well you do the math. Then we were told, very rudely, by one of your hostesses we had to leave because you wanted our table for a party of 6....that it is your policy. Three things wrong with this...Fiirst, if its a policy where is it written? Second, the right thing to do would to have asked us nicely to move to another table and have a table available for us. Third, we couldnt move to the bar, because we had two minors with us....not that any of you asked. I have ALWAYS recommended your restaraunt over Frenchys when we have company for the atomosphere and the Grouper, but will NEVER again. Through the years, I have literally spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars and I hope you realize that there are customers and there are your loyal customers, and you have a lost a loyal customer. Those are rare especially in these tough times. It truly is a shame. And the fact that you choose your customers telling us basically our patronage was no longer welcome over some other customers is amazing. A guest is a guest! We were not loud, we were not drunk, we were just enjoying the music and atmosphere which is what your place has always offered. And....on another note....why did we never see the manager to explain this? Especially since it was evident all of us were quite upset. Maybe the hostess didnt get them because she knew she handled it wrong.....just a thought. I am soooo upset about all of this. I have been in the hospitality business for years myself, and I would have been fired for the way we were treated tonight....and yes, I went off on your hostess, I admit that....but I never cussed or swore at them (unfortunately I cant say that for the rest of my friends). Everyone was quite upset. We were treated wrong on so many levels....and it truly is a shame that you will never get my or any of my friends business again.

The restaurant was not busy when we visited. About half full. We asked to be seated inside, and waited 10 min before no server ever came to our table. We saw people on the patio being served, so went to the front to ask to be seated outside. Our server on the patio greets us right away and we order our food with our drinks, since weve had plenty of time to look over the menu. I ordered the Southwest turkey salad to try something healthy-ish. The menu said it came with a chili lime vinaigrette dressing. When the salad came out, all the veggies looked fresh and delicious, I was quite excited for the salad. But it was served with a thick mayonnaise based sauce, instead of the chili lime vinaigrette. I had put the dressing all over the salad before I realized, so I asked the waitress if they could get me a new salad with the chili lime vinaigrette. Before this, we asked another waitress walking by what the sauce was and she said chipotle mayonnaise. Thats exactly what it looked like. So anyways, after a few minutes our waitress comes back out and says the kitchen said that was the chili lime vinaigrette. Im not that person to argue with a waitress, so I just asked for another dish. But that sauce was not a vinaigrette of any kind, it was clearly mayonnaise based. I dont know if they had a brand new chef in the kitchen or what. My boyfriend ordered the burger and fries, and didnt even eat half of it. It wasnt good. My replacement meal was the burger sliders and fries. The meat was cooked so hard that the outside was crunchy. At this point I was so hungry I finished it. Both of our meals came with fries, but we were served two different types of fries without having any kind of option. He got steak fries and I got medium cut fries. $25 bucks for a terrible experience. Eat somewhere else is my recommendation.
