My wife and I have eaten at several Chinese restaurants near and afar, including overseas, and 1-6-8 in Apopka is by far one of the best. The prices are still reasonable, despite a recent price increase reflected in the new menus, because the portions are quite ample. Each entree dish typically serves at least two, especially if one adds the Family Meal option. There is always food remaining for us to take home, which provides one or more meals for both of us. In addition, we sometimes order off-menu because there are old favorites we like which are not on the menu, such as egg foo yung. We order these items because they are very tasty and reasonably priced. We frequently take the entire family (11 to 12 of us) there for a meal around the big table with the Lazy Susan. Service is exceptional as we have become friendly with the wait staff and operators. 1-6-8 does a good takeout business from what we see when we are at the restaurant -- more people picking up orders than eating in -- and we assume they are trying to keep their spending within their budgets while still enjoying great Chinese cusine.

Dinner. Food was very good. Fresh and tasty. Ordered the Eggplant in Garlic sauce. Wife had combo fried rice. Son had beef with broccoli. We all had an "egg" roll and wonton soup. Its a bit pricey for what you get. Portions of the beef and broccoli and the eggplant were decent. However the rice dish, which obviously costs less to prepare was not as plentiful as I would have expected. Tea cost an extra $1. Thats nominal, but other restaurants offer tea for free quite often. Also, the vegetable egg roll is not an eggroll, uts was a spring roll. I dont really care for spring rolls and wouldnt have ordered it if I was properly identified on the menu. Never the less it, like everything else, was fresh, tasty and wasnt at all greasy or saturated in oil. We enjoyed the meal overall. I doubt youd be disappointed with the quality of your meal.

This is the best Chinese in the area! I absolutely love their (made in house) egg rolls!! Eat them while they are pipping hot and order an extra one. Their orange beef is amazing and spicy. The quality of food is great, you dont feel all gross afterwards like at some places. While we often get it to go (and wolf down an egg roll in the parking lot) its really nice to have inside dining every once in a while. It is a little more on the pricey end but Id rather have quality. Lunch is the best value if you want to try it out. I often order the orange beef and add extra meat for $3 and youll have plenty for lunch the next day.

Then to make it worse I called to speak to the manager or owner and EVA I GUESS AN EMPLOYEE WAS RUDE and mean like if it was my fault!!!

A little pricey but the quality is much higher than any delivery/pick-up Chinese joint. It has a nice interior that you can eat in, which is unique for Chinese food. The portion sizes are almost obnoxiously big which is a plus and makes it worth the price. Never had a bad meal. Though while worth the price it is a little hard to fork over that amount of money.

Bought 3 meals for $45 & only gave me 2 sides of rice for the 3 meals. One rice was only slightly bigger than the other. They claim it is double, but clearly it is not. Only wanted to argue instead of giving us the proper amount of rice for these meals. For $15 a meal you should not be trying to rip your customers off with the rice. Losing our business

I have never been disappointed after eating here. Its an excellent place to go for both lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is nice and the people are friendly. There is never a long wait for the food. It would be nice if there were additional selections of spices to make the food even hotter.... 5/5

Expensive. Good food, but just good. Not worth the price though. Very expensive for take out. $75 for 4 meals, 4 vegetable rolls and one large soup (No drinks... take out) I know most places like this include the soup and crunchy noodles, but not here. There are many much better options in the area.

Im from NYC and chow mein and LO mein are kindve one in the same. The difference is the type of noodle for each dish. I was told chow mein pretty much has no noodles lol. Ill give them 3 stars for exchanging my food but wont be coming back :) food is OK..but cant compare Florida food to NYC food

Was told there was a 30 minute wait..understandable since it was shortly after Hurricane Irma. Astonishingly, every almost every table finished eating but NONE were bussed! We were waiting nearly an hour just to get seated. Not a good way to run a restaurant..in any circumstances!

Ive been coming here for over 20 years. This is the absolute BEST Chinese food anywhere around. Chicken Lo Mein and Orange Chicken here are exceptional. The lunch special with an egg roll and/or wonton soup is a great deal! Give this place a try. You wont be sorry you did.

Ok... so its not authentic - shoot me for liking good food regardless of "how" its prepared. All around awesome. Try the orange peel chicken - extra spicy if you please. Good stuff.

We usually order the beef and broccoli. They only serve one size for takeout @ right around $12. The beef is excellent quality, tender and the portion is good for 2 average eaters.

This is by far one of the better chinese restaurants around town. The food always tastes fresh and the portions are large. You will not go home hungry. Service is also very good.

The five flavored chicken at 168 is my favorite dish. I really enjoy the taste of the food and how they slice the chicken into such small strips. The decor is a little boring.

Ive had chinese at "a lot" of places.. and this is by far the best. Pretty expensive though, but you get quality white meat (chicken) instead of chefs surprise.
