A friend had been recommended this place as similar to Ricks on the River, so we gave it a try. Immediately after we got there, we realized it was way ritzy-er than Ricks, and it was clear we werent fitting in there -- made obvious by lack of service. We waited a while, and eventually a waiter showed up and asked what we wanted. One person in the party inquired about an iced coffee (wed looked up their menu online first, so we were aware of what they had), and he goes "Uh, I guess.. but wed just like.. pour coffee into a cup of ice?".. obviously not the coffee drinks listed online. He eventually came back with our beverages after a wait (strange -- wed seen him hit a table near by several times during that wait, guess they were regulars). We also wanted to go here because we heard they had great oysters (our main goal was a few drinks and some oysters), unfortunately our waiter dropped the drinks off, turned and nearly ran away from the table without bothering to see if we wanted anything... so we couldnt ask about the oysters. After another 15 minutes or so, he returned, pen in hand, wanting our orders. We hadnt even had a chance to order an appetizer (the oysters). We asked, and was told no on the oysters. We said we were good with just drinks. Another 20 minutes before he returned, my friend ordered another beer.. and we asked for our checks, saying we werent interested in eating dinner. This obviously wasnt the place we were looking for (bad service, no oysters.. PASS!), so figured wed free up a table (though there were tons open) and make our exit. Eventually he came back, and as he returned w/ our slips, he mentioned "Oh, there IS a sandwich menu, if .. you might find something more to your liking on that". Perhaps Im reading into it, but I took that as a slap in my face "oh, if were too expensive on the dinner menu for your poor self.." Im not going to say Im a rich man, but I make a decent living, so money for dinner isnt a big concern of mine. I could perfectly afford anything on their menu -- I just didnt want any of it. I tend to tip VERY well if service is worth it. This guy was an insulting jerk. Mediocre atmosphere, no oysters, crappy snobby waiters.. sorry, not going back. Im 32, and this was seriously the most insulting service Ive ever had. If you plan to go -- prepare to have a very expensive car and a popped-collar designer shirt...thats apparently the only way to get good service.

To Whom It May Concern, This evening I went to the Tiki Bar at Circles at the Waterfront. I was elated to have a small table open just as I walked in. The waitress was very cordial and I ordered a bud light and she asked if I wanted a menu to eat. I told her that would be great as I came down specifically to eat. The waitress brought my beer and a menu right away which surprised me considering it was very busy at sunset. AN HOUR LATER she had not come back to take my order. I went to the bar to get another beer and waited patiently for her to take my order and still nothing. Finally she came to clear the table next to me and I asked for my check. I was very upset to be ignored for so long and just wanted to pay for my two beers and leave. She asked me "are you not ordering food now because it took so long?" and she was very snotty about it. I replied that indeed I was not ordering food because she had left me to myself for over an hour. I was not upset and did not lose my temper with her and she was very RUDE. She informed me that she could have my food in ten minutes and I seriously doubt that. She then proceeded to inform me in a very rude tone that if I go anywhere on a Saturday night I shouldnt expect to eat within the time that I was there. ARE YOU SERIOUS? If any restaurant I am in leaves me for an hour to myself I am leaving. The waitress I am speaking of is probably mid 40s with greying black or brown hair. There were three other waitresses that night, one with a full back tattoo, a younger one and one with blonde hair. She was none of these. I am sorry I did not get her name. The bottom line is that until you employ quality people that do not have the attitude of sock puppets I will not be back nor will I tell any of my friends to come back. I will be providing all local outlets with my review and will be suggesting that until your customer service improves the only thing this place has going for it is the awesome location. This is such a shame because your establishment has such potential for greatness. With the location and the sunsets you have a real gold mine and yet you employ such horrible people.

I visited your restaurant tonight and experienced the worst customer service Ive ever had. After waiting on our table and finally being sat, we waited 14 mins before I got up and went back to the host stand to request a server. The host then said she would handle it. I sat down and another five mins later Robert finally approached our table to greet us. This is the same server that was serving and cleaning up tables all around us for those 14 mins but couldnt seem to notice the look of confusion we had while not receiving any attention. We patiently told Robert we would like to leave and no thank you on the drink order. He was very snotty and while we were waiting on a server he looked at our table several times and never bothered to notice we needed service. As a server I can promise you that I know when a table hasnt been greeted and or looks like they are upset. Even is the said table was not in my section I would have been in contact with the server or manager on duty ASAP. This is outrageous service for your prices. There were also two plates and a set of silverware missing on our table. To add to my complaint I wish for you to know that my mother is diabetic and needed a drink or food and did not receive this. She is diabetic because she has stage four pancreatic cancer. We were there to celebrate her birthday with her. Unfortunate this may be her last birthday and we wanted to travel all the way to your restaurant. Birthdays are a special day and I wanted her night to be special and enjoy some food, drinks and precious moments with family. I am appalled that your servers would leave us so neglected.

My husband and I ate at Circles last night for our anniversary dinner. The location was perfect, the view was amazing, and since we sat on the patio, the atmosphere right beside the water was exquisite. I ordered the Shrimp Diane, which came with shrimp in a spicy Cajun cream sauce, served over pasta. I am quite accustomed to being under the impression of receiving a small portion of food, at an upper scale restaurant that has prices higher than Applebees. When I received my pasta I was completely shocked to see the massive, colossal sized shrimp throughout the dish. There was a very decent amount and possibly more than 15. The only problem that I had with the dish was that there was a lot of sauce, however I used this to my advantage upon returning home. I was able to add more pasta to the dish and have a whole new dish because there was still a significant amount of shrimp. Anyway, the service was excellent; we had a middle-aged blonde waitress with chin-length hair and she was amazing. We also had our two-year-old with us who thoroughly enjoyed the freshly battered and cooked chicken tenders and fries. My husband had the lemon-pepper chicken in which he devoured. Lastly, which should have been firstly, we started off with the fried calamari. It was excellently battered and cooked, I would just prefer it to be more salty, that is a personal preference however. We really loved this place and cannot wait to go back soon to enjoy more great food and even head over to their tiki bar!
