The folks at The Anchor always cheerfully and accurately fill my late night to go orders. I only wish I could afford to tip them more. The food is pretty good for what it is, and the people are the best. It is a nice little spot for a low-key drink too.

Way too long of a wait. Yes I realize it was Friday night but it should NOT take 45 minutes to get food. The women next to us waited even longer just for appetizers. Food was decent but wait was way too long, will not be coming here again.

This place is a staple on Davis Island. Its not a pretentious sipper-fest of over-priced spirits. They have beer, liquor, a kitchen, a dartboard and some personalities. Anchor Bar is the closest youll get to Cheers in South Tampa.
