Im so very disappointed with this establishment and how theyve chosen to handle a reservation my husband and I had for Valentines Day. Even though we reserved our table a month ago, they cancelled our reservation without notice, then emailed us stating they have chosen to do a wine dinner instead. Unfortunately, their menu for the wine event is not vegitarian friendly nor did they offer to make accommodations for us to attend their event by proving vegitarian pairings. Valentines Day is next week and we have been unable to obtain a reservation anywhere else. While I recognize from a business perspective they can make changes to their event as they please, Im disappointed in the customer service and the response we received regarding our frustration. There are A LOT of great authentic italian places in the Orlando area. We continued to visit Antica because we believe in supporting our neighborhood small businesses. We told our friends and tried to send over as many people as we could. I regret having done that. We wont be visiting here again.

Its a shame because we really like this place but they screwed us on Valentines Day. We had a reservation for over a month which they canceled 6 days prior to it because they decided to have a "wine dinner". Nowhere on their information on that night does it state that they would not be accepting reservations for any other time and nowhere did it say this was the only event they would be offering that evening. When we made the reservation we had tons of option but wanted to go there because we really liked this place. Now 6 days out were left with only a few options for that night and those are places we typically wouldnt have gone to. The owner did contact me but we didnt seem to agree on who was right or wrong here which hes entitled to. When I told him I would be reviewing him based on this he accused me of "threatening" him which I most certainly was not. Weve told and sent a lot of people to this place and really wanted to see it thrive. Sad to see well never be back after this stunt.

An absolute must try for anyone who is a fan of fresh, perfectly prepared, authentic Italian wood fired pizza. I just happened to be in the plaza where this hidden gem is tucked away and saw the sign for wood fired and decided to give it a try. So happy that I did. After being greeted by a very warm and friendly staff, I ordered the Calabrese pizza to go. The pizza was prepared fresh, right in front of me and promptly placed in the oven. While I waited, I took in the clean and cozy ambiance - but my wait was not long, within minutes the pizza was ready. Nothing short of amazing -- the fresh mozzarella, spicy pepperoni, fragrant sauce and perfectly textured crust was the best Ive had in the area and beyond. We have far too many chain restaurants in Altamonte Springs; its great to stumble upon something fresh and different. I will be back to try the many other enticing menu items and will be sure to tell everyone I know to add this to their must try list.

I havent been to Italy since 2010, but after a sip of their wine (Italian only, of course) and merely a bite or two in, I am okay with resetting the clock. Each booth has a major city stitched into the fabric, which some might find kitschy but I appreciated: we sat in Florence, and after we left, make that twice Ive been to Firenze. Dont come to Antica in a hurry, because thats not the point. When in Rome... the service is not slow, it is deliberate: if you need or want something, ask; otherwise, youll be left alone to relax and take your time over outstanding food and superb wine. Its hard not to conclude that if you like Italian (at the very least), but dont enjoy Antica, then youre doing it wrong.

After a disappointing super bowl (Falcons fan) decide to bring family out to Antica on last Monday. It wasnt very busy which was perfect for us because we have 3 kids and they sure can cause a ruckus. Anyways, we ordered 4 pizza for the 5 of us. Our kids are used to American pizza but I was so happy to see they could stop eating Anticas. Their pizza is just as we hope, sauce is perfectly seasoned, crust is crunchy and middle a bit softer. Kids had so much fun folding those slices :D We got 3 Margheritas 1 broccoli and sausage and 1 4 formaggio. Still havent decided which was my fav. See you soon Glad to have found you

We were in town for our annual soccer tourment and all the parents decided to avoid chains for his year and we are so glad we did. We searched around and called antica given the great reviews. We spoke with them and with just 2 days advance they were able to accommodate the 16 of us which turned out to be 19 at the end with no problem. We decided a fixed menu. The kids loved it and of course so did all of us parents. The highlight of the night was the surprise cake that Piero (the owner) decided to make for us. That made our night Thank you SO MUCH guys. It really meant a lot and of course we will return next year!!

This place is amazing. The pizza is baked in a true wood fired oven with very fresh ingredients. I think its probably as authentic you can get in central Florida in terms of Italian food. The entire staff is apparently from Italy and the food reflects that. Dont let the outside fool you as the inside is very clean and decorated very nicely--the booths each named after Italian cities which I thought was a nice touch. Our waiter, Mario, was exceptional as well. Dont waste your time with chain Italian restaurants and go eat quality Italian food and cooking instead.

Its true what they say about not judging a book its cover. We thought we were walking into a dull pizzeria, but when we got inside, it was like stepping into Italy. Its small, but lovely. Our waitress was very nice, and even ran out to give our friend his credit card back when he forgot it. The food was affordable, and definitely worth it. Especially the pizza. Very delicious and very original pizza. If I were to come back to Florida, Id go back to this pizzeria in a heart beat! :)

At Antica, just as in Italy, you will be welcomed by friendly owners, who offer great quality Italian wine, authentic Italian food made from scratch, and absolutely delicious deserts! Their always lovely and professional approach, as well as their exceptional food and wine, quickly made me their regular customer - highly recommended place. Did I mention the true wood fired pizza?! Heaven!

Literally just this second finished a Parmigiana pizza from this place. The dough was absolutely perfect; chewy without being too soggy and a crispy well leoparded crust. Toppings were fresh tasting and great quality. Im only in Altamonte Springs for a week but Im probably going to be back before I head home! Thoroughly recommend this place, one of the best pizzas Ive had!

To put it simply, the best pizza in the orlando area and probably central Florida. Neapolitan style (for those who dont know, it means light crisp crust and soft in the middle) pizza that cooks in few seconds. Its so light that after I ate I did t have to chug down a gallon of water during the night as when you eat other American pizzas. Definitely stopping by again soon
