This review is for the bar and dessert only! We stopped by the other night after dinner for a nightcap and ordered a cappuccino and Profiterole "caramel and warm chocolate fudge" to go along with some single malt whiskey. The alcoholic beverages were perfect - not too stiff nor was it watered down. The Cappuccino was just A-OK (better than a Starbucks but found missing in the finish - milk not warm enough and coffee was weak). The dessert was A-OK too - the cream puff under the fudge was a bit too chevy but the rest of the dessert was good. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is very good and lively and the service was good too. Will have to come back to get a second for this place.

Walked by this restaurant and thought it looked so cozy and cute for brunch. The reviews were decent enough that we gave it a shot. We were seated immediately, but waited quite awhile for a server to see us. Continued to have to flag down our server to order drinks and food. Eventually our food showed up (before our drinks) barely warm and flavorless. Our server never came to check in on us during the meal and we again had to flag him down for the check. I can honestly say this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences Ive ever had. Will not be back. Also, a mimosa is $7 and bottomless is $15- unless youre planning on drinking 3 or more I think there are better deals in the area.

Walking distance to the heart if Georgetown so very convenient if you want to grab a drink or food and relax a bit. I personally liked the French Onion soup a lot because I can taste the sweet onion flavor and the cheese crusted is so crispy! Both of our main courses were delicious. Oh! Be sure to ask for the bread, baked fresh...goes so well with the Boeuf Bourguignon sauce! For dessert, we got the chocolate lava cake, some of the crust on the sides are a bit overcooked so a bit harden. However, I do like that it is not too sweet. Other restaurants usually make it very sweet. We definitely want to come back next time to try the brick oven baked pizza!

The only reason for going to Maxime was that we thought a steakhouse would have a decent hamburger. When we arrived they were out of hamburgers and in lack of other options we ordered other types of food. They gave us the most expensive meals and the least amount of food that we have ever had in a resturant. The service was negligible. We wholeheartedly recommend you to go to any other restaurant in the Georgetown area.

Wonderful classic French restaurant. Excellent service and relaxing ambiance. We loved the music and decor. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was prepared to perfection. Possibly the best steak I have ever had at an amazing price. I brought my family here and we all love it (including my 2-year-old). When you come here, make sure to check out the downstairs room!

The ambience is so pretty and relaxing. Service was awesome and very attentive. Im here visiting from miami and I wish they had a Maximes back at home. I had the lunch special steak sandwich and cream of broccoli soup and its to die for. Thank you for the experience. I definitely recommend to others.

Great Service and great food, I came here for dinner i had the mushroom caps which were terrific then i followed them with a nice Entrecote Steak a nice New York Strip with Roquefort butter beautiful place fun atmosphere will definitely come back again.

Each time I go here its late in the evening and I always belly up to the bar and order the prix fixte Steak Frites from the menu and a nice glass of red wine. Its a nice taste of real France in a casual, comfortable surroundings.

terrible service, bad food, found our number and tracked us down because THEY did the tab wrong and charged me the wrong amount and wanted to me to pay double over the phone .... unreal. Stay away.
