Ive wanted to visit here for years and am so glad I finally did. It was a very memorable experience. The bartenders were fast and friendly and the bar is very large and would be even more expansive had the upstairs been open. It had the feel an eagle should have: dark, seedy, friendly, welcoming. The patrons are generally a dead giveaway about the community no matter what night you go and having went on a Saturday night I can say I was extremely impressed with the variety of men and hospitality I experienced. There seems to be ample parking as well and there was someone I believe was security monitoring the lot as well. My only complaint would be the astronomical mark up on liquor. Charging $10 for 1.25 oz of Jägermeister is beyond obnixous and Im pretty sure I paid less at even the NYC Eagle, hell even an airport bar is less expensive for cocktails and beer than this Eagle was. The experience was one of a kind and the bar tab I received was as well. I could easily have spent more time here had I not felt borderline ripped off. Id suggest beginning your night probably literally anywhere else before visiting here if having some serious drinks is your game plan. This is definitely a place I would become a regular if I lived in the area.. Thanks for keeping the

Ive been to the Eagle for Distrkt C and let me tell you, it was an experience.... tarps covering portions of the building, backed up bathrooms, and, by the end of the night, the establishment has a well known tradition of shutting off the water to the bathrooms. Yes, you read that right, the water to both the toilets and the sinks. And this was not the first time that an inconvenience such as this occurred, as verified by friends who have attended Distrikt C events in the past. Unless youre into that, which, guess what, Im not, it is not a pleasant experience, for the eyes and nose alike. If you are unable to anticipate/accommodate such large crowds, you SHOULD NOT hold events such as this at your venue, period!

My husband and I had an horrible experience our first night at this establishment. There are no locks on the bathroom doors. Unfortunately, I had to go... so, I had my husband watch the door while I went. One of the security personnel pushed my husband out of the way and burst through the door, obviously thinking people were having sex or doing drugs or whatever in the bathroom. To his disappointment, he found me. I was mortified. Humilated and embarrassed, my husband I left immediately. We will no be going back. Im pretty sure not having locks on bathroom doors is a violation of some D.C. regulation, so Ill be sure to report this incident to the proper authorities.

Worst eagle I have ever been to. Place is decent and the drinks are alright but its flat out empty and awkward for the whole weekend. Tried two nights in a row and paid $20 a person for a DILF night "party" with about 8 people upstairs. Just skip this bar and go somewhere closer in DC and you are anywhere near a gay bar and want to enjoy the nightlife. Its the only real leather bar but it was a complete disappointment two nights in a row. Dont waste your time to come out here or money on transit if there is any flavor of gay bar closer. Big leather fan and wanted to love this location but it was flat out bad for the whole weekend.

Reading prior reviews on here from prissy queens about the Eagle make me laugh. THIS IS A LEATHER DIVE BAR. It is meant to be a hole-in-the-wall, gritty, gay experience. If you want your nose-in-the-air gay cocktail bar go to U Street. Nothing pisses me off more when gays, who know nothing about the leather community, invade a leather bar with a leather wrist band and then complain about the establishment being sub par. I love the Eagle for what it is and that this new iteration kept its character and roots (which many of these reviewers dont even know). It may not be perfect, but thats why I love it.

Drinks are a rip off and charge you full price. Standing in front of a bartender seeing the bottle empty but but keeps pouring as it is full, fills up your glass with tonic put hoping he will open another bottle but does not. Bottle being tossed into the trash bin as its a hot potato. Then he smile at you as its the drink of the day. A look was surely given back to him as he expected a tip. Terrible service..... Friends and guest reported The Eagle does over charge on drinks and events. Unless you are showing skin.

I come frequently to play pool on Mondays. The last I came to do so was about a month ago. They recently hire an attractive bartender. Like me, he is not white. He however is very unfriendly and lacks conversational skills, unlike me. He had an air of dismissiveness and seems not to appreciate the fact that he had customers. In the future I would hope the owers would hire more friendly bartenders. A loyal Eagle customer.

The newest evolution of the DC Eagle is a great place to get out get a drink and have a GAY OLD TIME‼️ Pup Daithi is both an attentive and handsome bartender. The Eagle hosts many charitable events and organizations to lend back to the DC community

Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Great new location and space. Cant wait for the cigar bar and dance floor to open. Once completed, the DC Eagle will be one of the best, if not the best, leather bars in the U.S.

Never again. Didnt have leather so we were not allowed in the main bar. The door man said a leather belt and boots are ok. 6 of us walked never to return. Apparently they dont need the business. Hello saloon..

They are accepting of all. The layout adds interest, you can settle in different areas as they suit you mood and check out other areas as your mood/interest changes.

Great venue, interesting theme. I went for an underground house music event that was sharing the space with the usual club night with a leather theme.
